St. Jerome’s School hosted their annual Awards Night, recognizing student achievement on October 11. Grades 9 12 received a selection of awards for academic achievement in a range of subjects as well as athletic achievement, religion, and citizenship. Many local businesses sponsored the event, and many families came to support the recipients. Recipient of both the Governor Gener-
al’s Award and the Spirit of St. Jerome’s Award was Ashley Corbiere. The Andrew Mercier Memorial Citizenship award: Grade 9 - Anna Willis and Alexis Rehmann, Grade 10 - Austin Laurence, Grade 11 - Evan Sader and Sean Ulrich, and Grade 12 - Ashley Corbiere. The Brett Galloway Athletic Scholarship went to - Ashley Corbiere and Evan Sader. Community Closet Scholarship was given to - Kaylee Bardoel and Seth Mansfield. The CWL Christian
Ethics Awards was presented to -Maria Pottle and Paul Dahoy. The Keith Martin Memorial Award was -Ashley Corbiere. Knights of Columbus Religion Award was presented to Grade 9 -Clay Corbiere, Grade 10 Austin Laurence, Grade 11 Sean Ulrich, Grade 12 Maria Pottle. Park Plains East Alberta Teachers Association Local 31 award went to -Ashley Corbiere. The Premier Citizenship Award went to -Ashley Corbiere. Randelle Marie Hobbis Memorial Award -Ashley Corbiere and
Roben Espera. Rotary Club of Vermilion -Taya Henderson and the Rotary Club of Vermilion Post-Secondary Award was presented to - Cameron Bartley. St. Olga Parish Fine Arts award -Sadie Granigan. Western Communities Foundation Exceptional Achievement Citation and Bursary Award - Sadie Granigan and the Work Ethic Awards. Grade 9 Gracie Sweeney, Grade 10 Kylie Stephanick, -Grade 11 Kyla Waywitka, and Grade 12 Kaylee Bardoel.
