The Vermilion Ukrainian Cultural Association hosted their 24th Annual Dance Festival at Lakeland College’s Alumni Theatre in Vermilion on April 12 - 14. The festival included hundreds of d an c es per for me d by many d an c ers from all across Alber ta. These i n c l u d e d t h e Ve r m i l i o n S a m ot sv i t dancer s as well as member s from well known clubs like the Shumka and Cheremosh clubs from Edmonton. A n ew i t e m t h i s ye a r wa s h a i rbraiding offered all weekend as well as another vendor market on April

13, which was much enjoyed during the festival. There were also food trucks on site. “ We were beyond thrilled to have ever yone here this weeken d! We woul d like to thank the community for their support, the participants and families who drove, adjudicator Garrett Nestorowich, the many volunteers, and most of all our sponsors. Without your assistance, it would not have been as easy as it was,” said Vermilion Ukrainian Cultural Association President, Morgan Wood.
