The 63 rd Wainwright Stampede was fast and furious again this year. Rodeo Week breakfasts and lunches were held throughout the week at various businesses with some giving proceeds to local charities; as well there was a BBQ supper hosted by Wainwright Liquor & Cold Beer with proceeds to the Food Bank. The “Wainwright Stampede Kick – Off” in downtown Wainwright on June 22 kicked off the stampede with lots of family fun including children’s games, activities and entertainment. There was also a BBQ Beef on a Bun, dance performances, face painting and much more. On June 23 the 28 th Annual Bench Fair and Craft Vendors was held at the Elks Hall. Thursday night, June 23 saw the Grand Entry with the Wainwright Stampede Riders to open
things up for the CPCA Chuckwagon Races and the CPRA Rodeo followed. The action was fast paced again on Friday night as the Chuckwagon Races fought for the best time with no penalties.
