Lea Park Rodeo cowboys and cowgirls thrilled the audience during the Friday night performances; as they fought to win their timed events fans followed the action as they relaxed and soaked up the sun. Some top names in bull riding, bronco-busting, tie down roping, team roping, bareback riding, steer wrestling and ladies barrel racing travelled to Lea Park on June 10 and competed to win at the 5th biggest Pro Rodeo in Canada. Kyle Lucas took 1st place on Friday night in Tie-down roping with a time of 8.4 seconds. Bull rider Todd Chotowetz, from Major, Saskatchewan, said he was disappointed that the bull he was riding bucked him off. “Some bulls just don’t want to co-operate. I’m heading down to Sisters, Oregon tonight, where we plan on bull riding again tomorrow night.” BBQ b y Habit at For Huma nity
