Huybregts, Joy 1958 –2024 We are shattered and heartbroken by the sudden and unexpected loss of Joy Huybregts (née Starosta) of Sherwood Park, Alberta. Joy passed away on February 27, 2024, at the age of 65 surrounded by family and friends. Joy was born and raised on a farm near Dalroy, Alberta, where she met her husband and love of her life.

Joy is survived by her loving husband, Godfrey Huybregts; children, Josh (Christy) Huybregts and Gina (Cory) Neumann; granddaughters, Sloan, Cameron, Ricki-Lynn, and Blaine; her mother, Florence Boquist; siblings, Mary Anne (Bruce) Cairns, Carol (Eric) Toovey, Doug Starosta, and Steven (Ellen) Starosta. She is also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.

Joy is predeceased by her father, John Starosta; niece, Megan Goett; and several aunts and uncles.

Joy will be remembered by her family as a beautiful wife, selfless mother, and caring Oma. Our world will not be the same without her.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on April 22, 2024, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Sherwood Park, we welcome anyone who knew Joy and her family to attend. She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
