R: How would you describe your journey of becoming the woman and CEO you are today?

DR: The greatest way to describe my path to become the woman and SHE-EO I am today is as an obstacle course The obstacles I faced at each phase of my professional and personal development were related to each of my objectives Near-death experiences, cancer twice, a stroke, divorce, and disappointment are just a few of the challenges I've faced along the way My success was motivated by my trust in God, perseverance, tenacity, and having a strong network of family, friends, and community relationships

R: What would you say is most rewarding in what you do?

DR; Helping others gain clarity and equipping them with resources to become the best versions of themselves.

R: What advice would you give someone who wants to transition from being an employee to entrepreneur?

DR: Transitioning from the armed forces into entrepreneurship after having served for more than 1/2 my life was a major adjustment Post-retirement, I chose to live my passion of personal & professional development by making life & leadership coaching my new career My advice to those seeking transition from a "9-5" to entrepreneurship is: 1 Identify your niche and the problem that your business will solve for others 2 Research your competition 3 Determine the profitability of your niche 4 Acquire the skills and secure the tools needed to single-handedly manage your business (from top to bottom) 5 Define your vision and short & longterm goals 6 Find a mentor 7 Hire a brand coach 8 Network 9 Strategize 10 Never Give Up

DR: I have found that the best method to overcome challenges in business is to approach problems head-on, keep a good attitude, seek for areas that are broken, create a new road map for success, and monitor my progress along the way to gauge my effectiveness

DR: My life's purpose is "people." Specifically, my purpose is to help others. My life's work and mission has been dedicated to using my God-given talents and gifts to uplift & transform others' lives An added bonus is that I'm blessed to have a career doing what I love & what I was pre-destined to do

R: How do you measure success?

DR; I envision myself there first, to succeed. Goal accomplishment, growth, profitability, client contentment, and results in terms of development are some ways that I gauge my success.

R: 100 years from now when people learn about you, what do you want to be known for?

DR: I want to be known as a lover of God & liberty, an effective life & leadership coach & entrepreneur in the global community, and a key contributor to the betterment humanity.

R: Give three tips to new business owners, and leaders DR: 1. Automate to the greatest extent possible (it saves time), 2. Engage/Be Visible - Customers need to see & feel your presence and responsiveness. 3. Be Authentic - It builds trust, enables transparency, and breeds a healthy work culture.
