Verkís operates in Norway, Greenland, Bulgaria, Poland, Ukraine, the former Soviet republics, and in Chile. Foreign branch offices and subsidiaries are found in Norway, Greenland, Bulgaria, Poland, Ukraine, and Chile. One-stop project services are provided in Norway and Greenland, where all consultancy services provided by Verkís are available. These offices employ specialists in the areas of urban technology, transportation, construction, power plants, and project management. In the other offices, the main emphasis is on consultancy services in the fields of energy, hydropower and geothermal plants, high-voltage power transmission lines, district heating facilities, etc. Verkís cooperates with numerous international enterprises on projects outside Iceland and seeks cooperation with local undertakings in the countries concerned.
