We’re so excited to welcome you to Ventnor Fringe!
At the Fringe, all artforms are welcome so there really is something for everyone. Performers at all stages of their career rub shoulders together, test new material and refi ne their craft. It’s where it all begins.
This year there are over 130 different shows listed in this programme, and beyond this the wider ‘Free Fringe’ which spills out into venues across the town, with exhibitions, buskers and happenings around every corner!
Ventnor Fringe was fi rst founded by local teenagers and remains proudly independent, organised by Ventnor Exchange, which you can visit on Church Street year round. We’re a ‘not for profi t’ organisation re-investing into local creative projects and providing opportunities for over 700 local young people, some of whom will be performing, exhibiting, and working behind the scenes!
Enjoy the South West's freshest craft beers on draught and in cans in festival tents, at the Ventnor Exchange bar, and at pop-up venues across town.
At the heart of the festival is the Fringe Village in Ventnor Park, free to enter and a central spot with incredible street food, bars, workshops and performances. It’s a great place to hang out between shows. In the evenings the action shifts down the hill to Club Lunar at Flowersbrook where you can party into the evenings.
For the adventurous, be sure to follow us on social media and sign up for newsletters to be the fi rst to hear about our famous ‘Secret Shows’ which make a triumphant return this year after a post COVID hiatus.
Whether it's your very fi rst visit, or you’ve been with us since the beginning, thank you for supporting us and being part of creating something truly special in a unique part of the world. We hope you have a wonderful Fringe.

A Tool for Ventnor
First developed in 2016 as a speculative evolution of a Bronze Age blade found on the Isle of Wight, The Nipper knife traces an imagined lineage of tools across time. Now revisited at Ventnor Fringe, it is remade in public, shaped by place, process, and use. Inspired by the local wooden chip fork, this version sheds its origins while still carrying them. By making visible what is often hidden, the project challenges the idea that “people don’t make things anymore.”
