Can I Take my iPad Home?

Yes, individuals with iPads are responsible for the care and upkeep of their iPads at all times. As such, they should take the iPad with them when leaving for the day and ensure it has a full charge for the next business day. Employees are expected to bring their iPads to work each day and use them to enhance the Venterra experience.

How will a promotion and/or transfer be handled?

Except where noted below, when transferring or being promoted to a position that requires the use of an iPad, individuals should keep their iPad. The property receiving the transferring employee should ship the reset iPad (from exiting employee) to the location where the employee is coming from or order. If no iPad exists, a ticket should be created to request the iPad and accounting should be brought in the loop to ensure the correct property gets billed. The properties should work together to ensure that iPads are being utilized. a. Where an individual moves into a position that does not require an iPad, they will relinquish theirs to their supervisor.

How will exiting employees be handled?

The iPad of an exiting employee should remain with the property and should immediately be reset to factory defaults and stored under lock and key. Exiting employees do not have the option of purchasing the iPad.

What do I do if I run out of storage?

Your iPad comes with sufficient storage to perform the functions necessary for Venterra. Should you need more storage, you will be responsible for obtaining more either by deleting personal apps or by purchasing more storage with your personal account.

What do I do if I need an iPad?

What do I do if an iPad comes up missing or is damaged?

If there are concerns of theft, Bill Allison and your RM should be notified. If a replacement is necessary, place a ticket to help@venterraliving.com.

How long should a new hire be in position before receiving an iPad? Where a role requires an iPad as defined above, they should be given their iPad as part of the Onboarding process; immediately.

Can I purchase my iPad thru payroll deductions?

No. At this time, the option to purchase is not available.

If I have a personal iPad, can I upload the Look and Lease app and use it at work?

Yes. Follow the Look and Lease app instructions as noted on this site to download the app.

Part Time LC Part Time employees are prohibited from taking home iPads.

What should I do if my iPad is not working properly?

Will I get a cover for my iPad? Yes, a Venterra approved cover will be provided for each iPad. All iPad users are to use only the cover provided by Venterra for your iPad.

Can I get a different cover for my iPad? The covers we chose are to protect your iPad from shattering and water. The provided cover is to be used at all times.

Am I required to use the iPad cover provided by Venterra?

Yes, the covers we chose are to protect your iPad from shattering and water. These are to be used at all times.

How can I monitor my data usage?

To monitor data usage, refer to the link on this site titled 3G Data Use Calculator.

Will I get in trouble if I go over my data plan?

We have not had any issues with people going over their data plan. As long as you have your settings correct and are generally aware of what mode your iPad is in, you should not go over. If you do go over your data plan, we will take a look at what caused you to go over to determine if a discussion is necessary.

I am a PM or APM at a property over 300 units and I do a lot of leasing. Can I get an iPad? At this time, no. We have limited iPads to those in roles where their primary responsibility is leasing. In addition, we expanded this list to APMs and PMs on properties under 300 units because of the leasing velocity shown by these positions at smaller properties. In the future, we will be looking for a tablet to better assist the MM, APM and PM roles and at such time, will distribute a more appropriate tablet to these individuals.
