SUPPORT ACT
In January 2018, President Donald Trump signed the SUPPORT Act, also known as the Substance Use Disorder Prevention that Promotes Opioid Recovery and Treatment for Patients and Communities Act. The Act has a number of significant implications on the CMS open payments programme, starting with a transitional period to permit the initial gathering of new necessary data.
