Join lifestyle visionary Carole Bamford as she shares the fascinating story of her restoration of the Château and regeneration of its land and vineyards. The Léoube estate lies on the idyllic Cap Bénat, a rocky peninsular on the Mediterranean coast considered one of the most beautiful, protected sites in Europe. When Bamford and her husband discovered this ‘sleeping beauty’ over 20 years ago, they knew the property would need love, attention and plenty of imagination. Beyond the tangled undergrowth and tired exteriors, the Bamfords glimpsed what the estate could become. Working alongside the eminent architect, Alain Reynaud, they began to restore the buildings and convert the vineyards and olive groves to organic status. Experience the Château’s breathtaking interiors, guest houses and sublime gardens, down to the beach with its pretty restaurant and on to the vineyards where some of the finest rosé wines in the world are now created.

Carole Bamford is a visionary in organic farming and founder of the award-winning brands Daylesford Organic and Bamford, along with a collection of renowned countryside pubs and cottages. She launched the sustainable living magazine Seed and Nila House in Jaipur, part of the Lady Bamford Foundation. She is the author of three books, including Daylesford Living. She lives in the Cotswolds. Martin Morrell is a celebrated English photographer whose work appears in leading international magazines such as AD, Elle Decor, and Vogue Living. Natural Living by Design

The author of the acclaimed Living Well by Design now harnesses the power of design to create a healthy home that not only looks beautiful but also contributes to our quality of life. In her new book, internationally renowned design and style authority Melissa Penfold turns her attention from the basics of interior decorating to demonstrating what a powerful force design can be in boosting our physical and emotional well-being. Each chapter is devoted to an aspect of healthy, life-enhancing design, including “Ease,” “Flow,” “Light,” “Nature,” “Timelessness,” and “Awe.” All underscore the importance of introducing lots of natural light; using natural, non-toxic materials (clay plaster, timber, stone); incorporating nature into our homes, whether through views of the outside world or by filling our interior with plants; creating lots of storage (mess is stress); and recognizing the power that color has on our state of mind. Illustrating each chapter are photographs of beautiful rooms in homes around the world that embody the salutary properties of Natural Living by Design

Light, Sand, and Sea Hamptons Artists and Their Studios

Coco Myers

Photography by Jaime Lopez

Foreword by Mónica Ramírez-Montagut

In these pages you’ll get a close-up look at 50 painters, sculptors, printmakers, photographers, and mixed-media artists living and working on the famed East End of Long Island, New York. Photographer Jaime Lopez has captured each artist both in revealing portraits and at work in their studios; journalist and curator Coco Myers has contributed insightful interviews. The East End has long been a magnet for artists who are drawn to the inspiring nature of the landscape - the light, the fields, the farms, and of course, the expansive sea. And while the legacy of artists like Jackson Pollock, Lee Krasner, Willem de Kooning etc. remains strong, the area continues to be rich in talent today. Lopez’s photographs and Myers’s text reveal the creativity, intelligence, and humor of these artists as well as the vibe of their workplaces featuring the tools of their craft.
