RUHSA Outpatient Building Dedicated Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1 : 2 - 6 Special Prayers : March 13 - 19, 2016

1st Phase of the new Outpatient Building in the RUHSA Campus was dedicated on 23rd February, 2016 by Rev. Rainard Pearson, Chaplain, CMCH and inaugurated by the Director, Dr. Sunil Chandy. Dr. Sunil Chandy congratulated the RUHSA Staff for this achievement and appreciated the CMC engineering department for constructing a relatively low-budget but beautiful building. He said “Even though buildings are important to provide better facilities to the patients, it is the staffs that really make a difference in the quality of care we provide”. Dr. Rita Isaac, Head of Department said “This is indeed 'Unbelievable, Amazing Grace of God'. RUHSA family is extremely happy to celebrate this benchmark moment in the evolution RUHSA with all. RUHSA has come a long way from its humble beginning of a rural health center way back in 1944 mainly providing services for the women in labour and leprosy patients and later to a revolutionary health and development model of Dr. Daleep Mukherji in health care in 1977 to what it is today- A spacious outpatient department, airy rooms to attend to about 100,000 outpatients seen annually and a proposal to upgrade health care facilities further for the rural communities including all the unique community development projects of RUHSA”. She, on behalf of the department, thanked the administration and significant donors including CMC Vellore Foundation, USA and Friends of Vellore, Sweden for responding to many years of struggles of managing an overflowing patient crowd in a congested building with inadequate space and privacy. The staff and students entertained the gathering with a special song and poem. The programme ended with prayer and benediction by Rev. Joseph Devaraj, Chaplain, RUHSA.
