SUMMARY
We arrived at the 3rd and final book of this trilogy, a book completely different from what you've probably read, a Bible study that shows controversial Bible verses instead of teaching only beautiful verses.
The past cannot change, good past, unfortunately the bible that was supposed to be a book that good people like, ended up being a book in which good and bad people follow, simply due to the biblical manipulations that always happen, if there were no manipulations, there would not be thousands of Christian religions, there would only be one.
That's why it's good to study the bible and not just read it, and that's the purpose of the books I've written, God is good, He's in favor of empathy, something rare theseSo,days.stick with the last book in this series.

1 – Genetics is for the weak;
A story of faith, generates a lot of discussion among those who don't believe in the Bible, in this case, I'm talking about the biblical passage of Jacob, so let's go to the passage: Jacob, however, took fresh-cut branches from poplar, almond and plane trees and made white stripes on them by peeling the bark and exposing the white inner wood of theThenbranches.heplaced the peeled branches in all the watering troughs, so that they would be directly in front of the flocks when they came to drink. When the flocks were in heat and came to drink, they mated in front of the branches. And they bore young that were streaked or speckled or spotted.
Genesis 30:37-39
According to biology, this would be completely impossible, but for God there are no limits, if He wants it,
it can happen, just as something totally supernatural can happen in your life, if you just believe.
2 – Walking on water;
Now let's go to the New Testament, in a well-known passage that is the verses that speak of when Jesus walked on water, let's go to the verses:
Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd.
After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.
Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on theWhenlake.the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. "It's a ghost," they said, and cried out in
fear.But
Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."
"Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the "Come,"water."hesaid. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!"
Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"
And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down.Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God."
When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret. And when the men of that place recognized Jesus, they sent word to all the surrounding country. People brought all their sick to him and begged him to let the sick just touch the edge of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed.
There have been cases of pastors claiming that they will prove the power of God and try to walk on water without knowing how to swim, and some have even died, but that does not mean that the message of the bible is not true, this is because these men simply wanted to appear, and these attitudes would not glorify God at all.
Think about it, if a pastor walks on water and films this, you can be sure he would become a celebrity and his name would appear more than the name of Jesus, but it's good to remember that the word of God says:
Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. "If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down. For it is written: "'He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.' "" Jesus answered him, "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.' ""
Matthew 4:5-7
There in these verses it clearly says that we should not tempt God, and in the case of the pastor who could not swim and died trying to walk on water, he was exactly tempting God.

3 – Kill all the witches;
In the Old Testament God acted in a very strict way towards sinners (people who do something that God says is wrong), as is quoted in the book of Exodus:
"Do not allow a sorceress to live.
Exodus 22:18 As you saw, witches were killed, however, in the New Testament it differed, let's go to the verses:
Now for some time a man named Simon had practiced sorcery in the city and amazed all the people of Samaria. He boasted that he was someone great, and all the people, both high and low, gave him their attention and exclaimed, "This man is rightly called the Great Power of God."They followed him because he had amazed them for a long time with his sorcery.
But when they believed Philip as he proclaimed the
good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. Simon himself believed and was baptized. And he followed Philip everywhere, astonished by the great signs and miracles he saw.
Acts 8:9-13
In these verses magic is mentioned, but we can also consider that as witchcraft, but in the New the situation was quite different, the apostles did not kill him, they only evangelized, these two different attitudes, one in the New and the other in the Old, can greatly confuse the people, justifying the fact that they accuse many Christian churches of practicing hate, these churches prioritize the old testament, we have to follow the New and practice love.
4 – The requirement of fidelity; God has always demanded the faithfulness of the people, as he says in the biblical verse:
"Whoever sacrifices to any god other than the LORD must be destroyed. [^5]
Exodus 22:20
In the Old Testament, only infidels were killed, however, nowadays do not be fooled, if you are an infidel, and you are alive, we know that at any moment anyone can die and if that happens and you were not faithful to God, you will be in eternity in the hell, so make no mistake.
5- Killing friends and brothers;
God commands to kill friends and brothers, let's go to theThenverse:he
said to them, "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor.'" Exodus 32:27
This happened because they made a golden calf to put in the place of God, and at that time those who sinned died.Let's go to the verses:
They have been quick to turn away from what I commanded them and have made themselves an idol cast in the shape of a calf. They have bowed down to it and sacrificed to it and have said, 'These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.'
Exodus 32:8
6 – Divine plague that killed 14,700 people;
A divine plague killed 14,700 people, let's go to the verse: But 14,700 people died from the plague, in addition to those who had died because of Korah. Numbers 16:49
This happened simply because Korah made a rebellion against the leader that God chose, Moses, remembering that Moses' life was not easy, he suffered a lot to lead the children of Israel who always pressured him, so let's go to the verses of rebellion:
Korah son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and certain Reubenites —Dathan and Abiram, sons of Eliab, and On son of Peleth —became insolent [^1] and rose up against Moses. With them were 250 Israelite men, well-known community leaders who had been appointed members of the council.
They came as a group to oppose Moses and Aaron and said to them, "You have gone too far! The whole community is holy, every one of them, and the LORD is with them. Why then do you set yourselves above the LORD'sNumbersassembly?"16:1-3
7 – Israelites destroy the Canaanites;
Nowadays war is always frowned upon, but in the past it always existed, sometimes the children of Israel were attacked, but they also attacked others, so let's go to the verse:
The LORD listened to Israel's plea and gave the Canaanites over to them. They completely destroyed them and their towns; so the place was named Hormah.
Numbers 21:3
But to understand this verse, let's go to the previous one:
When the Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the Negev, heard that Israel was coming along the road to Atharim, he attacked the Israelites and captured some of Numbersthem.
21:1
As we saw in this verse, the Canaanites had kidnapped some people from Israel, so God's people attacked them
to stop their aggressive behavior.
8 – God sends serpents to kill Israelites; God sent serpents to kill the Israelites, let's go to the verse: Then the LORD sent venomous snakes among them; they bit the people and many Israelites died.
Numbers 21:6
To explain this attitude, let's go to the previous verse: they spoke against God and against Moses, and said, "Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness?Thereisno bread! There is no water! And we detest this miserable food!"
Numbers 21:5 Yes, in these verses it shows why God sent the
serpents to you, God did not like the people's murmurings at all, if God does the same in current times, many will die, however, it is good to reflect a little. Why have we had a problem for a long time and haven't solved
Wouldit?it be the reason for our constant murmurings on a daily basis? Either it would be probation, or tribulation, so it's worth reflecting on.
9 – The Israelites kill Og and all his people;
God tells the Israelites to kill family and people of Og, let's go to the verse:
So they struck him down, together with his sons and his whole army, leaving them no survivors. And they took possession of his land.
Numbers 21:35
To better understand this attitude, I always follow that correct way of doing, never believing in a biblical verse,
but in all the content that involves several verses, so let's go to the previous verses:
Then they turned and went up along the road toward Bashan, and Og king of Bashan and his whole army marched out to meet them in battle at Edrei.
The LORD said to Moses, "Do not be afraid of him, for I have delivered him into your hands, along with his whole army and his land. Do to him what you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon."
Numbers 21:33,34
In these verses he speaks of a confrontation between them, in which case the Israelites were fighting to take possession of what God promised them. But it is worth remembering that currently, for you to take possession of what God has promised, you need to work in order to acquire that promised and not go around stealing.
10 – A new divine plague, kills 24,000 people;
Let's go to the verse: but those who died in the plague numbered 24,000. Numbers 25:9
To better understand these deaths, let's go to the previous verses:
While Israel was staying in Shittim, the men began to indulge in sexual immorality with Moabite women, who invited them to the sacrifices to their gods. The people ate the sacrificial meal and bowed down before these gods.
Numbers 25:1,2
So, the reasons for these deaths would be the disobedience of the people who prostituted themselves with the daughters of the enemy people, which in this case, it would also be wrong if they had sex before marriage with the Israelites, just as it is wrong today and many Christians ignore.
11- God commands to kill all the Midianite sons of men; God orders to kill all the Midianite sons of men, this is a reason for a lot of controversy, so let's go to the verses:
Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.
Numbers 31:17,18
In this verse it says that God did not ask to kill those who did not have sex before marriage, only the unfaithful.
In the previous verses, it shows that the Israelites brought women and children alive and God had commanded to kill them all, let's go to the verses:
The Israelites captured the Midianite women and children and took all the Midianite herds, flocks and goods as plunder.
Numbers 31:9
12- The people of God killed everyone in the city; God's people destroyed the city and all its inhabitants, let's go to the verses: the LORD our God delivered him over to us and we struck him down, together with his sons and his whole army.At that time we took all his towns and completely destroyed "them —men, women and children. We left no Deuteronomysurvivors. 2:33,34
At that time, wars were constant, not only involving God's people, that's why we have to study the bible to avoid practicing acts of hatred.
13 - Destroying all;
In the same book, God tells the Israelites to kill their enemies, let's go to the verses:
and when the LORD your God has delivered them over to you and you have defeated them, then you must destroy them totally. "Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy. Deuteronomy 7:2
Again there appears another verse of deaths related to the conquest of the Earth that God promised to the seed of Abram.
14 – God orders men to be killed and spares women and children;
In this case, God says to spare children and women, let's go to the verses:
When the LORD your God delivers it into your hand, put to the sword all the men in it.
As for the women, the children, the livestock and everything else in the city, you may take these as plunder for yourselves. And you may use the plunder the LORD
your God gives you from your enemies. Deuteronomy 20:13,14
In many cases, not understanding only God's plans, because in this case, He asked to spare the women and children, but when God speaks, it's up to us only to obey. That's why we have to read the bible, because there God will speak to us, read the New Testament.
15- God commands to kill everything that has life;
Let's go now to another case where God asks them to kill, let's go to the verse:
However, in the cities of the nations the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, do not leave alive anything that breathes. Deuteronomy 20:16
In this case, God orders to kill everything that has life in the city, even animals, this probably happened because
everything in this city was filthy.
16 - All killed in Jericho; hhh hhh God commands them to kill everyone in Jericho, let's go to the verses: They devoted the city to the LORD and destroyed with the sword every living thing in it —men and women, young and old, cattle, sheep and donkeys. Joshua said to the two men who had spied out the land, "Go into the prostitute's house and bring her out and all who belong to her, in accordance with your oath to her."
So the young men who had done the spying went in and brought out Rahab, her father and mother, her brothers and sisters and all who belonged to her. They brought out her entire family and put them in a place outside the camp of Israel.
Then they burned the whole city and everything in it, but they put the silver and gold and the articles of bronze and iron into the treasury of the LORD's house. But Joshua spared Rahab the prostitute, with her family
and all who belonged to her, because she hid the men Joshua had sent as spies to Jericho —and she lives among the Israelites to this day.
At that time Joshua pronounced this solemn oath: "Cursed before the LORD is the one who undertakes to rebuild this city, Jericho: "At the cost of his firstborn son he will lay its foundations; at the cost of his youngest he will set up its gates."
So the LORD was with Joshua, and his fame spread throughout the land.
Joshua 6:21-27
Again there was another genocide in the Bible, an event that not only happened in the history of God's people, but also in other peoples.
17 – Achan and his family are stoned to death;
Joshua orders the whole family of Acâ to be stoned, let's go to the verses:
Then Joshua said to Achan, "My son, give glory to the LORD, the God of Israel, and honor him. Tell me what you have done; do not hide it from me." Achan replied, "It is true! I have sinned against the LORD, the God of Israel. This is what I have done: When I saw in the plunder a beautiful robe from Babylonia, "two hundred shekels "of silver and a bar of gold weighing fifty shekels, "I coveted them and took them. They are hidden in the ground inside my tent, with the silver underneath."
So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran to the tent, and there it was, hidden in his tent, with the silver underneath.Theytook the things from the tent, brought them to Joshua and all the Israelites and spread them out before theThenLORD.Joshua, together with all Israel, took Achan son of Zerah, the silver, the robe, the gold bar, his sons and daughters, his cattle, donkeys and sheep, his tent and all that he had, to the Valley of Achor.
Joshua said, "Why have you brought this trouble on us?
The LORD will bring trouble on you today." Then all Israel stoned him, and after they had stoned the rest, they burned them.
Over Achan they heaped up a large pile of rocks, which remains to this day. Then the LORD turned from his fierce anger. Therefore that place has been called the Valley of Achor "ever since.
Joshua 7:19-26
At that time it was normal to stone sinners and traitors, remember Mary Magdalene?
18 – Israelites kill everyone in the city;
Let's go to the verses:
Those in the ambush also came out of the city against them, so that they were caught in the middle, with Israelites on both sides. Israel cut them down, leaving them neither survivors nor fugitives.
But they took the king of Ai alive and brought him to
Joshua.WhenIsrael
had finished killing all the men of Ai in the fields and in the wilderness where they had chased them, and when every one of them had been put to the sword, all the Israelites returned to Ai and killed those who were inTwelveit.
thousand men and women fell that day —all the people of Ai. Joshua 8:22-25
Again I say that this practice was common at the time now God's people have to preach peace.
19 – Joshua destroys all the Gibeinites;
With God's approval, Joshua orders to kill all the Gibeinites, let's go to the verses:
The LORD threw them into confusion before Israel, so Joshua and the Israelites defeated them completely at Gibeon. Israel pursued them along the road going up to
Beth Horon and cut them down all the way to Azekah and Makkedah.
As they fled before Israel on the road down from Beth Horon to Azekah, the LORD hurled large hailstones down on them, and more of them died from the hail than were killed by the swords of the Israelites. On the day the LORD gave the Amorites over to Israel, Joshua said to the LORD in the presence of Israel: "Sun, stand still over Gibeon, and you, moon, over the Valley of Aijalon."Sothe
sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on "its enemies, as it is written in the Book of Jashar. The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day.
There has never been a day like it before or since, a day when the LORD listened to a human being. Surely the LORD was fighting for Israel!
Then Joshua returned with all Israel to the camp at Gilgal.Now the five kings had fled and hidden in the cave at Makkedah.
When Joshua was told that the five kings had been found hiding in the cave at Makkedah, he said, "Roll large rocks up to the mouth of the cave, and post some men there to guard it. But don't stop; pursue your enemies! Attack them from the rear and don't let them reach their cities, for the LORD your God has given them into your hand."
So Joshua and the Israelites defeated them completely, but a few survivors managed to reach their fortified cities. The whole army then returned safely to Joshua in the camp at Makkedah, and no one uttered a word against theJoshuaIsraelites.said, "Open the mouth of the cave and bring those five kings out to me."
So they brought the five kings out of the cave —the kings of Jerusalem, Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish and Eglon.
When they had brought these kings to Joshua, he summoned all the men of Israel and said to the army commanders who had come with him, "Come here and put your feet on the necks of these kings." So they came forward and placed their feet on their necks.
Joshua said to them, "Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Be strong and courageous. This is what the LORD will do to all the enemies you are going to fight." Then Joshua put the kings to death and exposed their bodies on five poles, and they were left hanging on the poles until evening.
At sunset Joshua gave the order and they took them down from the poles and threw them into the cave where they had been hiding. At the mouth of the cave they placed large rocks, which are there to this day.
Joshua 10:10-27
Again cruel war verses surface, but we must always follow the New, follow love.
20 – Joshua destroys all the people of Makkedah;
Let's now go to the verse that shows Joshua destroying all the people of Makheba: That day Joshua took Makkedah. He put the city and
its king to the sword and totally destroyed everyone in it. He left no survivors. And he did to the king of Makkedah as he had done to the king of Jericho.
Joshua 10:28
In that verse it shows but once the advance of the Israelite troops in search of the promised land.
21- Destroying all the people of Libya;
Another attack on another king is described in the bible let's go to the verse:
The LORD also gave that city and its king into Israel's hand. The city and everyone in it Joshua put to the sword. He left no survivors there. And he did to its king as he had done to the king of Jericho.
Joshua 10:30
But a cruel act in present times described in the Bible.
22 – Joshua destroys all the people of Lachish;
In another controversial passage, Joshua with God's permission destroys an entire people, let's go to the verses: The LORD gave Lachish into Israel's hands, and Joshua took it on the second day. The city and everyone in it he put to the sword, just as he had done to Libnah. Meanwhile, Horam king of Gezer had come up to help Lachish, but Joshua defeated him and his army —until no survivors were left.
Joshua 10:32,33
This is yet another passage from the past, which we cannot currently follow any more.
23 – Joshua destroys all the people of Eglon;
Now let's go to the verses of Eglon:
Then Joshua and all Israel with him moved on from Lachish to Eglon; they took up positions against it and attacked it.
They captured it that same day and put it to the sword and totally destroyed everyone in it, just as they had done to Lachish.
Joshua 10:34,35
And so the people of God continue in the conquest of the promised land.
24 – Joshua destroys all the people of Hebron;
Let's read more verses about war:
Then Joshua and all Israel with him went up from Eglon to Hebron and attacked it.
They took the city and put it to the sword, together with its king, its villages and everyone in it. They left no survivors. Just as at Eglon, they totally destroyed it and everyone in it.
Joshua 10:36,37
And so Joshua concludes another stage of the conquest of the promised land.
25 – Joshua destroys Debir;
With divine approval Joshua destroys the people of Debir, let's go to the verses:
Then Joshua and all Israel with him turned around and attacked Debir.
They took the city, its king and its villages, and put them to the sword. Everyone in it they totally destroyed. They left no survivors. They did to Debir and its king as they had done to Libnah and its king and to Hebron.
Joshua 10:38,39
In some cases God commanded to kill only men, in others he commanded to kill all, which is in this case.
26 – he Destroyed everything that had breath in the city; Let's go into one more verse about destruction:
So Joshua subdued the whole region, including the hill country, the Negev, the western foothills and the mountain slopes, together with all their kings. He left no survivors. He totally destroyed all who breathed, just as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded. Joshua 10:40
So Joshua and the children of Israel follow.
27 – The Lord orders the horses' legs to be cut off;
God commands them to cut the legs of the horses, let's go to the verses:
The LORD said to Joshua, "Do not be afraid of them, because by this time tomorrow I will hand all of them,
slain, over to Israel. You are to hamstring their horses and burn their chariots."
Joshua 11:6 God did not want to allow any of the enemies to continue to exist, except for the lands.
28- Joshua destroys all the people of Anakim;
Following the conquest, let's go to the next verses:
At that time Joshua went and destroyed the Anakites from the hill country: from Hebron, Debir and Anab, from all the hill country of Judah, and from all the hill country of Israel.Joshua
totally destroyed them and their towns. No Anakites were left in Israelite territory; only in Gaza, Gath and Ashdod did any survive.
So Joshua took the entire land, just as the LORD had directed Moses, and he gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to their tribal divisions. Then the land had rest
from war.
Joshua 11:21-23
After conquering, he divided the lands with the tribes.
29 – Judah cuts off the thumbs of Adonijah-Berzek;
Judah cut off Adoni-Bezek's thumbs, let's go to the verses: Adoni-Bezek fled, but they chased him and caught him, and cut off his thumbs and big toes.
Judges 1:6
This attitude was taken so that they would not run away anymore.
30 – Judah sets Jerusalem on fire;
Judah set fire to Jerusalem, let's go to the verses:
The men of Judah attacked Jerusalem also and took it. They put the city to the sword and set it on fire.
Judges 1:8
This attitude was part of taking the promised land, after which they would rebuild it.
31 – The Israelites kill 10,000 Moabites;
The Israelites murdered more people, now 10,000, let's go to the verses:
At that time they struck down about ten thousand Moabites, all vigorous and strong; not one escaped.
Judges 3:29
And so the Israelites go on to conquer the promised land. 32 – The people of Gideon cut off their heads;
The people of Gideon cut off the heads of princes, let's go to the verses: Gideon and the hundred men with him reached the edge of the camp at the beginning of the middle watch, just after they had changed the guard. They blew their trumpets and broke the jars that were in their hands. The three companies blew the trumpets and smashed the jars. Grasping the torches in their left hands and holding in their right hands the trumpets they were to blow, they shouted, "A sword for the LORD and for Gideon!"Whileeach
man held his position around the camp, all the Midianites ran, crying out as they fled. When the three hundred trumpets sounded, the LORD caused the men throughout the camp to turn on each other with their swords. The army fled to Beth Shittah toward Zererah as far as the border of Abel Meholah nearIsraelitesTabbath.from Naphtali, Asher and all Manasseh were called out, and they pursued the Midianites.
Gideon sent messengers throughout the hill country of Ephraim, saying, "Come down against the Midianites and seize the waters of the Jordan ahead of them as far as Beth Barah." So all the men of Ephraim were called out and they seized the waters of the Jordan as far as Beth Barah.They also captured two of the Midianite leaders, Oreb and Zeeb. They killed Oreb at the rock of Oreb, and Zeeb at the winepress of Zeeb. They pursued the Midianites and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon, who was by the Jordan.
Judges 7:19-25
This was very common at the time, and it wasn't just the Israelites who did it.
33 – David kills 200 Philistines and cuts off their foreskins;
David kills Philistines and cuts off his genitals, let's go to the verses:
David took his men with him and went out and killed two hundred Philistines and brought back their foreskins. They counted out the full number to the king so that David might become the king's son-in-law. Then Saul gave him his daughter Michal in marriage.
1 Samuel 18:27
This happened because his future father-in-law, King Saul, asked for it as a dowry for David to marry his daughter, let's go to the verses:
Saul replied, "Say to David, 'The king wants no other price for the bride than a hundred Philistine foreskins, to take revenge on his enemies.'" Saul's plan was to have David fall by the hands of the Philistines.
1 Samuel 18:25
But this must never be accepted in present times.
34 - Rechab and Baanah cut off Ishbosheth's head;
A very cruel passage happened, two women cut off a man's head and deliver it to King David, let's go to the verses:
They had gone into the house while he was lying on the bed in his bedroom. After they stabbed and killed him, they cut off his head. Taking it with them, they traveled all night by way of the Arabah.
They brought the head of Ish-Bosheth to David at Hebron and said to the king, "Here is the head of IshBosheth son of Saul, your enemy, who tried to kill you. This day the LORD has avenged my lord the king against Saul and his offspring."
2 Samuel 4:7,8
But King David had the people who took the head killed, let's go to the verses:
How much more —when wicked men have killed an innocent man in his own house and on his own bed — should I not now demand his blood from your hand and
rid the earth of you!"
So David gave an order to his men, and they killed them. They cut off their hands and feet and hung the bodies by the pool in Hebron. But they took the head of Ish-Bosheth and buried it in Abner's tomb at Hebron.
2 Samuel 4:11,12
35 – David orders to kill horses; David orders to kill horses, let's go to the verses:
David captured a thousand of his chariots, seven thousand charioteers "and twenty thousand foot soldiers. He hamstrung all but a hundred of the chariot horses.
2 Samuel 8:4 God for some reason had the horses killed, again the reason would be the same as the previous one.
36 – David kills 22,000 Syrians;
David kills 22,000 Syrians, let's go to the verses:
When the Arameans of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David struck down twenty-two thousand of them.
2 Samuel 8:5
Again something happens that is totally wrong today, the death of people in wars, but at that time it was normal.
37 – David kills 18,000 Edomites;
Let us now go to the verse that mentions the death of Edomites:AndDavid became famous after he returned from striking down eighteen thousand Edomites "in the Valley of Salt.
2 Samuel 8:13
And so the conquest of more land was concluded.
38 – David kills more Syrians;
Let's go to the verses about more Syrian deaths:
But they fled before Israel, and David killed seven hundred of their charioteers and forty thousand of their foot soldiers. "He also struck down Shobak the commander of their army, and he died there.
2 Samuel 10:18
Once again the cruel deaths of a war.
39 – David has Uriah killed to be with his wife;
David gets a big eye on his neighbor's wife and has her husband killed, let's go to the verses:
In the morning David wrote a letter to Joab and sent it with Uriah.
In it he wrote, "Put Uriah out in front where the fighting is fiercest. Then withdraw from him so he will be struck
down and die." So while Joab had the city under siege, he put Uriah at a place where he knew the strongest defenders were.
When the men of the city came out and fought against Joab, some of the men in David's army fell; moreover, Uriah the Hittite died.
Joab sent David a full account of the battle. He instructed the messenger: "When you have finished giving the king this account of the battle, the king's anger may flare up, and he may ask you, 'Why did you get so close to the city to fight? Didn't you know they would shoot arrows from the wall?
Who killed Abimelek son of Jerub-Besheth "? Didn't a woman drop an upper millstone on him from the wall, so that he died in Thebez? Why did you get so close to the wall?' If he asks you this, then say to him, 'Moreover, your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead.'"
The messenger set out, and when he arrived he told David everything Joab had sent him to say.
The messenger said to David, "The men overpowered us and came out against us in the open, but we drove
them back to the entrance of the city gate.
Then the archers shot arrows at your servants from the wall, and some of the king's men died. Moreover, your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead."David told the messenger, "Say this to Joab: 'Don't let this upset you; the sword devours one as well as another. Press the attack against the city and destroy it.' Say this to encourage Joab."
When Uriah's wife heard that her husband was dead, she mourned for him.
After the time of mourning was over, David had her brought to his house, and she became his wife and bore him a son. But the thing David had done displeased the LORD.
2 Samuel 11:14-27
Well, just as it ends these verses saying that “David had done it was evil in the eyes of the Lord”, God never approved of this little shame.
40 – David sins and the son pays;
As I said earlier, David made a mistake, and after that God kills his son, let's go to the verses:
The LORD sent Nathan to David. When he came to him, he said, "There were two men in a certain town, one rich and the other poor.
The rich man had a very large number of sheep and cattle, but the poor man had nothing except one little ewe lamb he had bought. He raised it, and it grew up with him and his children. It shared his food, drank from his cup and even slept in his arms. It was like a daughter to him.
"Now a traveler came to the rich man, but the rich man refrained from taking one of his own sheep or cattle to prepare a meal for the traveler who had come to him. Instead, he took the ewe lamb that belonged to the poor man and prepared it for the one who had come to him."
David burned with anger against the man and said to Nathan, "As surely as the LORD lives, the man who did this must die!
He must pay for that lamb four times over, because he did such a thing and had no pity."
Then Nathan said to David, "You are the man! This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul.Igave your master's house to you, and your master's wives into your arms. I gave you all Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you evenWhymore.didyou
despise the word of the LORD by doing what is evil in his eyes? You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife to be your own. You killed him with the sword of the Ammonites. Now, therefore, the sword will never depart from your house, because you despised me and took the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your own.'
"This is what the LORD says: 'Out of your own household I am going to bring calamity on you. Before your very eyes I will take your wives and give them to one who is close to you, and he will sleep with your wives in broad daylight.
You did it in secret, but I will do this thing in broad
daylight before all Israel.'"
Then David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the LORD." Nathan replied, "The LORD has taken away your sin. You are not going to die.
But because by doing this you have shown utter contempt for "the LORD, the son born to you will die."
After Nathan had gone home, the LORD struck the child that Uriah's wife had borne to David, and he became ill. David pleaded with God for the child. He fasted and spent the nights lying in sackcloth "on the ground.
The elders of his household stood beside him to get him up from the ground, but he refused, and he would not eat any food with them.
On the seventh day the child died. David's attendants were afraid to tell him that the child was dead, for they thought, "While the child was still living, he wouldn't listen to us when we spoke to him. How can we now tell him the child is dead? He may do something desperate." David noticed that his attendants were whispering among themselves, and he realized the child was dead. "Is the child dead?" he asked. "Yes," they replied, "he is dead."
2 Samuel 12:1-19
So God punishes David for his sin.
41 – 20,000 men are killed in Ephraim;
In a battle in the forest of Ephraim, 20,000 men were killed, let's go to the verses:

One of Joab's men stood beside Amasa and said, "Whoever favors Joab, and whoever is for David, let him follow Joab!"
Amasa lay wallowing in his blood in the middle of the road, and the man saw that all the troops came to a halt there. When he realized that everyone who came up to Amasa stopped, he dragged him from the road into a field and threw a garment over him.
2 Samuel 20:10-12
The consequences of wars are very sad.

2 Samuel 24:17
This happened because of David's sin, just as many suffer because of the sin of kings or presidents:
When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.

For seven days they camped opposite each other, and on the seventh day the battle was joined. The Israelites inflicted a hundred thousand casualties on the Aramean

Então, Eliseu lhes disse: Não é este o caminho, nem esta a cidade; segui-me, e guiar-vos-ei ao homem que buscais. E os guiou a Samaria.
2 Kings 6:18,19
This happened because the Syrians themselves declare war against Israel and God used this to help God's people win the war, let's go to the verses:

He was the one who defeated ten thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt and captured Sela in battle, calling it Joktheel, the name it has to this day.

prayers condemn him.
May his days be few; may another take his place of leadership.Mayhischildren be fatherless and his wife a widow. May his children be wandering beggars; may they be driven "from their ruined homes.
May a creditor seize all he has; may strangers plunder the fruits of his labor.
May no one extend kindness to him or take pity on his fatherless children.
May his descendants be cut off, their names blotted out from the next generation. Psalms 109:6-13
These verses reflect what they were ruling against the psalmist.
There is a biblical passage that says that his eye will not spare children and young people, let's go to the verses:

In a biblical passage it says that whoever is far will die of the plague and whoever is near by the sword, let's go to the verses: One who is far away will die of the plague, and one who
is near will fall by the sword, and anyone who survives and is spared will die of famine. So will I pour out my wrath on them.
And they will know that I am the LORD, when their people lie slain among their idols around their altars, on every high hill and on all the mountaintops, under every spreading tree and every leafy oak —places where they offered fragrant incense to all their idols.
Ezekiel 6:12,13
This happened due to the rebellion of the people, let's go to the verses:
"Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: You have been more unruly than the nations around you and have not followed my decrees or kept my laws. You have not even "conformed to the standards of the nations around"Thereforeyou.
this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I myself am against you, Jerusalem, and I will inflict punishment on you in the sight of the nations.
God said he would kill all the sons and daughters of harlots, let's go to the verses:
I will direct my jealous anger against you, and they will deal with you in fury. They will cut off your noses and your ears, and those of you who are left will fall by the sword. They will take away your sons and daughters, and those of you who are left will be consumed by fire. They will also strip you of your clothes and take your fine jewelry.SoIwill put a stop to the lewdness and prostitution you began in Egypt. You will not look on these things with longing or remember Egypt anymore.
"For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am about to deliver you into the hands of those you hate, to those you turned away from in disgust.
57 – God killed all the daughters and sons of all the prostitutes;
They will deal with you in hatred and take away everything you have worked for. They will leave you stark naked, and the shame of your prostitution will be exposed. Your lewdness and promiscuity have brought this on you, because you lusted after the nations and defiled yourself with their idols.
You have gone the way of your sister; so I will put her cup into your hand.
"This is what the Sovereign LORD says: "You will drink your sister's cup, a cup large and deep; it will bring scorn and derision, for it holds so much.
You will be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, the cup of ruin and desolation, the cup of your sister Samaria.
You will drink it and drain it dry and chew on its pieces — and you will tear your breasts. I have spoken, declares the Sovereign LORD.
"Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: Since you have forgotten me and turned your back on me, you must bear the consequences of your lewdness and prostitution."TheLORD said to me: "Son of man, will you judge
Oholah and Oholibah? Then confront them with their detestable practices, for they have committed adultery and blood is on their hands. They committed adultery with their idols; they even sacrificed their children, whom they bore to me, as food for them.
They have also done this to me: At that same time they defiled my sanctuary and desecrated my Sabbaths. On the very day they sacrificed their children to their idols, they entered my sanctuary and desecrated it. That is what they did in my house.
"They even sent messengers for men who came from far away, and when they arrived you bathed yourself for them, applied eye makeup and put on your jewelry. You sat on an elegant couch, with a table spread before it on which you had placed the incense and olive oil that belonged to me.
"The noise of a carefree crowd was around her; drunkards were brought from the desert along with men from the rabble, and they put bracelets on the wrists of the woman and her sister and beautiful crowns on their heads.
Then I said about the one worn out by adultery, 'Now let them use her as a prostitute, for that is all she is.' And they slept with her. As men sleep with a prostitute, so they slept with those lewd women, Oholah and Oholibah.Butrighteous judges will sentence them to the punishment of women who commit adultery and shed blood, because they are adulterous and blood is on their hands."This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Bring a mob against them and give them over to terror and plunder. The mob will stone them and cut them down with their swords; they will kill their sons and daughters and burn down their houses.
Ezekiel 23:25-47
This happened because they were influencing God's people to the wrong way, let's go to the verses:
She gave herself as a prostitute to all the elite of the Assyrians and defiled herself with all the idols of
everyone she lusted after.

In the book of Hosea it says that children will be torn apart and pregnant women will be cut in half, let's go to the verses: The people of Samaria must bear their guilt, because they have rebelled against their God. They will fall by the sword; their little ones will be dashed to the ground, their pregnant women ripped open. Hosea 13:16
This happened due to the idolatry of the people, let's go to the verses: Now they sin more and more; they make idols for themselves from their silver, cleverly fashioned images,
all of them the work of craftsmen. It is said of these people, "They offer human sacrifices! They kiss "calfHoseaidols!" 13:2
AFTERWORD
It is very common to hear news of something terrible that happened in a certain place, whether in the newspaper or in other media, and so we have anticipated interpretations, in relation to what we hear or see, and in the Bible it is the same thing, this is a book composed of several books, and to understand, we have to read the whole book and not just a verse like many preachers encourage, there are cases that we even have to read more than one book to understand biblical history, so it is important to study.
I hope it helped many to understand the bible through these 3 books I wrote. Thank you and God bless you all.
