"I started my business because I wanted to share my love for creating beautiful things and help others at the same time,” the mini mogul said.
She contributes portions of her sales to local charities of her choice, including libraries, shelters, Sunrise Children’s Hospital and more.
"Helping local charities means a lot to me because it's my way of saying thank you to all the people who support my business."
Her passion and potential are evident in her handmade products and her actions.
"I love making beaded bracelets because they make people happy, and seeing their smiles makes me happy, too," she said.
Alena is a shining example of how kindness and entrepreneurship can come together to create a stronger community. "What a star,” Ruby Scott, Senior District Reprsentative, Office of Congressman Steven Horsford. "She's got a wonderful future ahead of her."
The skills she has learned at VKZ
Monthly Kidpreneur Markets and local young entrepreneur camps has elevated her skills and confidence.
"She used to hide behind me,”said her mom Triana. “Now, she steps out and explains what the bead bar is and how to make the items.”
She has been featured in he Millenials in Motion Magazine and completed entrepreneurship camps with Nevada Partners. At markets and camps, you can find her reaching out and helping fellow kidpreneurs.
“This experience has helped her engage with others, and VKZ has been instrumental in that transformation," her mom said. She continues to grow her business as well as her good deeds with charitable work throughout the year.
"My dream is to keep growing my business.” Alena said, “so I can continue to make people smile and support more charities in the future.”

This easy dairy-free pumpkin ice cream is the perfect way to embrace fall while enjoying a cold treat. If you can do eat dairy, this recipe will work just as well when you swap the dairy-free sweetened condensed milk and whipping cream for the regular versions.
Ingredients
11.25 ounce can (about 1 cup) sweetened condensed coconut milk
⅔ cup pumpkin puree
1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice
1 tbsp brown sugar
3 tbsp molasses
1 tsp ginger syrup (optional)
2 cup dairy-free whipping cream alternative (like from Silk brand)
Directions
Put everything except the whipping cream in the bowl of your stand mixer. Beat with the whisk attachment until completely mixed.
Add your dairy-free whipping cream and whip until it is very fluffy and airy (it will not fully reach stiff peaks).
Pour the ice cream mixture into an 8"x4" loaf pan, cover it with plastic wrap directly on the surface of the ice cream, and freeze for at least 8 hours.
When you are ready to serve, let it sit out for 5-6 minutes before scooping.
