Il tema dell’Innovazione sarà rappresentato prima di tutto da T-GOLD, il Salone internazionale ospitato nel distretto Evolution di VICENZAORO dedicato alle tecnologie avanzate, concepite per aumentare la qualità dei processi di progettazione e realizzazione del gioiello. Inoltre, altre due iniziative arricchiscono il programma: 13esima edizione del Convegno Jewellery Technology Forum il 22 Gennaio 2017 (9.30 – 17.00), nato dalla collaborazione tra Italian Exhibition Group e Legor group S.p.a. e dedicato alle nuove tecnologie e alle ultime tendenze del settore orafo, e l’area Small Equipment & Tools (S.E.T. – Pad. 2.2), che ospiterà una selezione di aziende produttrici di stampanti 3D, software e piccola attrezzatura sia per il mondo della manifattura orafa che delle gioiellerie.

The Innovation theme will mainly be represented by T-GOLD, the International Show dedicated to advanced technology hosted in VICENZAORO’s Evolution district and conceived to increase the quality of jewellery design and creation processes. Another two initiatives will further enrich the programme: the 13th edition of the Jewellery Technology Forum on 22nd January 2017 (9.30 am – 5 pm), an event resulting from collaboration between Italian Exhibition Group and Legor group S.p.a. and specifically for new technologies and the latest trends in the gold and jewellery industry and, the Small Equipment & Tools area (S.E.T. – Hall 2.2), which will host a selection of companies that produce 3D printers, software and small tools for gold and jewellery manufacture alike.

Proprio il nuovo concept di VICENZAORO Dubai che, nel 2017, si trasformerà in VOD - Dubai International Jewellery Show, e si svolgerà a Dubai presso il Dubai World Trade Center, sarà presentato durante VICENZAORO January.

OPTI 2017 GHM festeggia il suo decimo anniversario con l’occhialeria

Importante edizione di opti per GHM Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen mbH che sabato 28 gennaio darà infatti il via per la decima volta al salone dell’occhialeria tedesco dove 575 espositori provenienti da 35 paesi presenteranno le loro novità sino a Lunedi 30.

Quando in gennaio 2008 GHM prese le redini di opti gli espositori erano 357 suddivisi in tre padiglioni di 30.000 mq. Oggi opti si sviluppa su quattro padiglioni e 40.000 mq.

Entro il 2019 saranno pronti i due nuovi padiglioni ora in costruzione proprio di fianco a quelli utilizzati attualmente (C1, C2, C3 e C4). L’ampliamento porterà grandi nuove opportunità di sviluppo ad espositori e visitatori.

Nel 2017 opti avrà eccezionalmente luogo da sabato a lunedì e il decimo anniversario della gestione del salone da parte di GHM verrà festeggiato con brindisi, musica, danze e divertimento sia sabato che domenica sera dalle 19 alle 22 all’ingresso Nord della fiera.

GHM celebrate their tenth anniversary with the eyewear industry

This year it will be an important opti edition for GHM Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen mbH, in fact on Saturday, January 28 they will launch for the tenth time the German eyewear show where 575 exhibitors from 35 countries will present their innovations until Monday 30.

In January 2008 GHM organized opti for the first time. 357 exhibitors presented their work in three halls of 30,000 square meters, opti now covers more than 40,000 square meters in four halls.

By 2019 two new halls will be built on the Fairground Messe München – right next to the four already existing opti halls C1 to C4. This brings new opportunities for further developing opti together with the visitors and exhibitors.

In 2017 opti will exceptionally take place from Saturday to Monday and the tenth anniversary will be celebrated with drinks, music, dancing and fun both Saturday and Sunday evenings from 7 p.m to 10 p.m. at the North Entrance of the fair ground.

Quest’anno a opti gli espositori potranno approfittarne per la prima volta. Dieci aziende potranno presentarsi ai blogger di moda e occhiali in occasione del Blogger Spectacle sabato 28 Gennaio.

Una ventina di blogger hanno risposto all’appello del salone e formeranno la giuria che decreterà il vincitore del “Blogbuster 2017”. Questo nuovo premio andrà a uno dei 16 opti Boxes.

The Vintage Fascination Vintage Passion – questo il nome della nuova area nel padiglione C1 (zona Hot!) dove i modelli classici saranno sotto il riflettore accompagnati dagli incontri all’opti-forum quali il summit quotidiano sul Vintage o la discussione dal titolo “Le icone del design incontrano gli esordienti del design”.

Cosa significa oggi la parola vintage? Chi lo sa bene è Robert LaRoche, una icona del design che ha rivoluzionato l’occhialeria dal 1973 al 1999 con i suoi modelli e le sue pubblicità innovative. La Roche interverrà a opti forum confrontandosi con i giovani designer sulla sua passione per il design di alto livello, viva tuttora. Domenica 29 gennaio alle 15.w0 sarà ospite anche all’incontro “Le icone del design incontrano gli esordienti del design”.

BLOGGER SPECTACLE celebrates its premiere Bloggers are opinion formers. They offer instant and authentic lifestyle information to their fan communities. In 2017, opti exhibitors will be able to profit from that for the first time. Ten companies have the opportunity to present their frames to fashion and eyewear bloggers at the fair – during the BLOGGER SPECTACLE on 28th January 2017.

Around 20 fashion and eyewear bloggers from the European blogosphere are expected in Munich and they will be the jury that will select the ‘Blogbuster 2017’. This newcomer prize will go to one of the 16 opti boxes.

The Vintage Fascination “Vintage Passion” – this is the name of the new opti area. In hall C1 (!HOT area) classics will be in the spotlight accompanied by the daily talks at the opti forum, such as the daily vintage-summit or the daily “design icon meets design rookie” talk.

What does the term vintage actually mean?

Someone who should know is the design icon Robert La Roche. He revolutionized the eyeglass industry from 1973 to 1999 with his design and the accordingly adapted advertisement. At the opti forum, La Roche will talk with design newcomers about his passion for great eyewear design, which has remained alive until today. On Sunday, 29 January 2017 at 3.20 p.m. he will be a guest of the talk “design icon meets design rookie.”

Grazie alla continua ricerca di nuove tecnologie che possano migliorare il lavoro dell’operatore, la serie MASTERINJECT è sempre al passo con i tempi. Lo dimostra il modello di punta di tutta la serie: l’MI-03.

Una macchina completamente automatica che rappresenta la sintesi tra alta qualità, semplicità e massima produttività: la prima e l’unica al mondo ad essere coperta da brevetto internazionale. Le caratteristiche sono quelle di una macchina compatta e professionale, che per la sua semplicità può essere utilizzata anche da un principiante. An injector fully automatic, which represents the synthesis of high quality, simplicity and maximum productivity: the first and the only in the world to be covered by international patent. The characteristics are those of a compact and professional machine, which for its simplicity can be used even by a beginner. The operator in fact, inserts the molds (even of different sizes) in the vertical loader: the MI-01

MI-02 verticale: il sistema automatico centra nella giusta posizione lo stampo che viene spinto all’interno della pinza per ricevere la cera. A questo punto lo stampo, grazie ad un sistema di pistoni, viene girato e scaricato a favore dell’operatore sulla piastra raffreddatrice. L’operatore dopo pochi secondi si trova di fronte, in ordine di produzione, stampi già freddi e pronti per essere aperti. Tutto è studiato affinché i tempi morti dell’operatore, siano azzerati, incrementando notevolmente la produzione. Inoltre, la tecnologia e i materiali tutti Made in Italy permettono di ottenere delle cere perfette.

Il serbatoio adeguatamente isolato e il sistema di controllo del vuoto, assicurano l’eliminazione dell’umidità e delle micro bolle nella cera. Il sistema di iniezione tramite pistoni permette di replicare perfettamente lo stampo, mantenendo costante il peso delle cere. Il sistema di vuoto, effettuato direttamente sullo stampo, permette di ottenere iniezioni sempre precise e azzerare la produzione di scarti. La tecnologia RFID, permette la memorizzazione di tutti i parametri di lavoro (programmi) grazie ad un TAG vulcanizzato all’interno degli stampi o posizionato tramite adesivo. È quindi evidente che tutti gli obbiettivi e gli sforzi della MASTERIX siano finalizzati all’incentivazione della produttività a favore dei clienti, alla velocizzazione e alla semplificazione dei processi e delle performance degli operatori, garantendo continua assistenza e supporto per ogni esigenza ai clienti di tutto il mondo.

Per accontentare un mercato globale come quello in cui si affaccia la MASTERIX, la serie MASTERINJECT presenta macchine per tutti i tipi di clienti, creando altri due modelli customizzabili secondo le esigenze: l’ MI-01 e l’MI-02. Entrambi i modelli sono in grado di adattarsi alle richieste e alle necessità del cliente. Il serbatoio, il sistema di iniezione, il sotto vuoto e la tecnologia RFID hanno le stesse caratteristiche indicate per l’MI-03. In più l’MI-01 e l’MI-02 presentano una pinza, dotata di piattelli con spessori rimovibili, in grado di adattarsi a stampi di vari spessori, e se ciò non bastasse, il cliente può facilmente e in autonomia sostituire l’intera pinza acquistando un modello di dimensioni maggiori. La caratteristica che contraddistingue l’MI-02 salta subito all’occhio: è dotata di due stazioni lavorative, che possono essere gestite contemporaneamente da uno o da due operatori, diventando così una soluzione economica con il doppio della produttività.

The operator after a few seconds has in front of himself in the production order, cold molds ready to be opened. Everything is studied so that downtime of the operator are reset, greatly increasing production. Furthermore, all materials and technology are Made in Italy making possible to obtain perfect waxes.

The tank properly insulated and the vacuum control system, ensure the elimination of humidity and micro bubbles in the wax. The injection system via pistons, allows replication of the mold perfectly, keeping constant the weight of waxes.

The vacuum system, carried out directly on the mould, allows to obtain more precise injections and zero the production of rejects.

The RFID technology, allows the storage of all the working parameters (programs) thanks to a TAG vulcanized inside the mold or positioned by adhesive. It ‘s clear that all the goals and efforts of the MASTERIX are aimed at the increasing of productivity for customers, to speed up and simplify the processes and performance of operators, ensuring continuous service and support for all needs to customers around the world.

To satisfy a global market as one in which overlooks the MASTERIX, the MASTERINJECT series has machines for all types of customers, creating two other customizable templates as required: the ‘MI-01 and MI-02. Both models are able to adapt to the demands and needs of the customer. The tank, the injection system, the vacuum and the RFID technology have the same characteristics indicated for the MI-03.

In addition the MI-01 and MI-02 have a clamp, equipped with plates with removable shims, able to adapt to molds of different thickness, and if this were not enough, the customer can easily and autonomously replace the entire clamp purchasing a larger model. The feature that distinguishes the MI-02 immediately evident: it is equipped with two work stations, which can be operated simultaneously by one or two operators, thus becoming an economic solution with double productivity.

MULTIPLE JECT Nuova fonditrice per microfusione New casting machine

ASEG Galloni S.p.A. of San Colombano al Lambro (MI) enhances his product portfolio with the MULTIPLE JECT casting machine, suitable for a considerable quantity of a same metal to be casted in a continuous way into flasks, one after the other.

The process is by electronic induction, the technological trademark of ASEG Galloni, who was first in the world to apply it for jewellery and dental laboratories applications.

Il catalogo di ASEG Galloni S.p.A. di San Colombano al Lambro (MI) si arricchisce della fonditrice per microfusione MULTIPLE JECT, realizzata per operatori che fondono rilevanti quantità di uno stesso metallo per poterlo poi colare in modo continuativo in diversi cilindri.

La fusione è attuata dall’induzione elettronica, marchio di fabbrica tecnologico di ASEG Galloni che, prima al mondo, l’ha applicata nelle fonditrici per orafi e labo-

I riferimenti funzionali che hanno orientato la progettazione della MULTIPLE JECT si riassumono in un ciclo di fusione di quantitativi elevati combinato a un versamento frazionato in numerosi stampi, con lo scopo di ridurre i tempi delle fasi antecedenti e successive la fusione.

Caricato il metallo nel capiente crogiolo (3500 cc), l’emissione di potenza avviene linearmente e la temperatura è controllata da una termocopia posizionata al centro della massa di metallo. Raggiunta la temperatura impostata per la fusione, il processo è stabilizzato a questo valore; attraverso un oblò l’operatore controlla la colata di metallo attivando con un pulsante il sollevamento dello stopper per il riempimento del cilindro sottostante. Prima della colata e per un tempo determinato dall’operatore, si crea il vuoto nel cilindro per eliminare i gas; durante il processo fusorio è possibile l’aggiunta di gas inerte.

L’avvicendarsi rapido del posizionamento della camera del cilindro sotto al crogiolo avviene mediante cuscinetti che scorrono su una rotaia.

The engineering office had the input to design a unit where the casting cycle combines high capacity with the possibility to fill several flasks of different sizes, achieving the purpose by reducing the steps upstream and downstream the melting phase.

After manually loading the metal into the capacious crucible (3500 cc), the power output is proportionally controlled and the temperature is maintained by a thermocouple inserted in the centre of the molten metal. When the set casting temperature is attained, the process is stabilized at this figure.

Through a porthole the operator checks the casting and by a pushbutton lifts the stopper so the metal pours into the underlying flask. When full, flask is removed and another one is placed into the chamber and so on.

Before pouring and for a time set by the operator, vacuum is created to eliminate gas from the flask. During the melting and pouring cycle an inert gas flow is possible on top of the crucible.

The flask chamber is easily moved back and forth via a rail which makes a quick alternate of the flasks under the crucible.

Questa eccezionale tecnologia si è rivelata perfettamente adatta al procedimento di microfusione a cera persa e consente di ottenere superfici estremamente lisce e riproduzioni fedeli grazie all’elevatissima definizione; inoltre l’operatore è impegnato per poco tempo nell’impostazione della stampa, in quanto non è richiesta la realizzazione dei supporti degli oggetti e quindi non è neppure necessario tagliare e rifinire successivamente il modello. Egli può concentrarsi quasi esclusivamente sul disegno CAD/CAM degli oggetti, utilizzando i migliori software dedicati.

KG è realizzata in plastica rinforzata da fibra di carbonio - un nuovo materiale utilizzato per la prima volta in elementi funzionali per il settore dell’occhialeria. Grazie alle fibre di carbonio libere al 100% dalla corrosione è stata possibile raggiungere un’elevata resistenza meccanica e termica del pezzo. Nella scatola in carbonio sono stati inseriti due elementi flessibili in acciaio inox per ottenere il perfetto effetto “molla”.

KG is a hinge carrier made out of a carbon fiber reinforced plastic – a completely new material used for the first time in functional elements in the spectacle industry. With the 100% corrosion free carbon fibers a high mechanical and thermic and acid resistance of the part was reached. Beside the carbon case two flexible elements out of stainless steel were used to fulfill the perfect spring effect.

An invisible result in all materials ShuttleFlex is delivered already assembled and has to be inserted in a predrilled hole of the temple. Depending on the customer’s decision the hinge can then be fixed either with a screw or just with glue. In both cases a superior stability and pull-out force is ensured.

Thanks to this easy processing operation ShuttleFlex can be used for all kind of materials like acetate, metal, wood or even for 3D-printed spectacles. In all cases the hinge is integrated in perfect harmony in the temple and is therefore totally hidden. The hidden look can be extended to the front side of the frame by using OBE’s “block-hinge”.

Zero rocking ShuttleFlex is equipped with OBE’s flexUno technology: a U-shaped side hinge provides at the same time stability but also enough flexibility to be bent during the adjustment process of a temple.

L’OCCHIALERIA PRODOTTA CON XFAB EYEWEAR MADE WITH XFAB DWS durante lo scorso Maker Faire di Roma dal 14 al 16 Ottobre 2016 presso il proprio stand e nell’ambito dell’evento “Fabbrica 4.0: business your idea” ha presentato gli occhiali stampati in 3D e progettati da quattro giovani designer che hanno accettato la sfida di indagare le infinite potenzialità della stereolitografia: da un materiale liquido, fotosensibile, ad un prodotto finito e commercializzabile, realizzato con l’ultima e più innovativa tecnologia produttiva, quella della stampa 3D.

At the DWS booth during Maker Fair Rome from 14th to 16th October for the DWS’ event “Fabbrica 4.0: business your idea” glasses and sunglasses have been 3D printed. They came from the ideas of four young Italian designers who have accepted the challenge to examine the unlimited possibilities of the stereolithography: from a liquid material, photosensitive, to a finished and saleable product, made with the latest productive technology: the 3D printing.

Alice Barki è giovanissima, ha solo 28 anni ma ha un curriculum di tutto rispetto: laurea cum laude e master di II livello in design industriale ottenuto con il massimo dei voti. Vanta illustri collaborazioni professionali dall’architettura alla moda e, a tempo perso, partecipa a contest per designers che, in genere, vince. Ha grande propensione per la progettazione industriale che arricchisce e contamina con le sue doti artistiche.

Alice Barki is very young, she is only 28 years old but has a remarkable resume: graduated cum laude and II level bachelor in industrial design, obtained with the highest mark. She boasts prestigious professional collaborations on architecture and fashion and, from time to time, she takes part in design contest which are, generally, won by her. Her biggest inclination is the industrial design which she enriches with her artistic talent.

TECHNOLOGY

Enea Vitali proviene da una famiglia di ottici ed è stato semplice per DWS sceglierlo nella rosa dei candidati: classe 1983, ottico optometrista con un’unica vera passione: l’utilizzo del CAD per progettare i propri occhiali.

Ha già creato il proprio brand, la Farmakoff, per poterli produrre, in 3D ovviamente, e per poterli commercializzare nei propri negozi.

Con un master in design engineering e un posto da docente presso il Poli.

Design e la Nuova Accademia delle Belle Arti, Fabio Caresi non ha bisogno di presentazioni. Esperto di modellazione tridimensionale collabora con diversi brand italiani leader nel settore dell’arredamento e dell’accessorio, riuscendo ad interpretare le esigenze del mercato e conferendo al proprio design quel carattere deciso ma allo stesso tempo ricercato che gli è proprio.

Enea Vitali comes from a family of opticians and is very easily been chosen by DWS for his experience: class 1983, optometrist optician with only one passion: the CAD design for drawing his own glasses. He has already founded his own brand, the Farmakoff, to produce them, clearly in stereolithography, and to sale them in his own shops.

A bachelor in design engineering and a role of professor at Poli.Design and at the Nuova Accademia delle Belle Arti, Fabio Caresi does not need an introduction. Expert of tridimensional modelling, he collaborates with different Italian brands which are leaders on interior design and on fashion industry. He is able to interprets the market needs, bestowing to his design a strong personality but elegant.

Il FabLab Milano l’ha creato lui, Salvatore Saldano, un condensato di creatività unita ad un forte senso pratico che lo spinge a realizzare in 3D qualsiasi oggetto di uso comune.

Formatosi all’Accademia delle Belle Arti di Brera, lavora da sempre come designer industriale e di prodotto, ma preferisce definirsi un maker.

La produzione è stata realizzata con la stampante XFAB di DWSLAB.

The FabLab Milano has been created by him, Salvatore Saldano, a mind that is a mix of creativity and pragmatism which encourages him to produce any common object with the 3D printing. Graduated at the Accademia delle Belle Arti of Brera, he has been working as industrial designer, but he prefers to be named a maker.

The production of the glasses in Maker Faire Special Edition, designed by these four talents has been realized with the XFAB printer of DWSLAB.

DWS & AMATRICE La riproduzione di Amatrice stampata in 3D, per non dimenticare

Il 14 Ottobre 2016, durante Maker Faire Rome, è stato presentato il plastico di Amatrice, la cittadina devastata dal terremoto il 24 Agosto scorso. DWS insieme ad Alessandro Ranellucci, ideatore del progetto, Michele Calvano e la Regione Lazio, hanno voluto omaggiare l’amministrazione di una riproduzione stampata in 3D con il fine di supportare la cittadinanza colpita e mantenere viva l’attenzione per una rapida ricostruzione dell’antico centro.

L’opera, di dimensioni 4 x 2 metri in scala 1:500, è un progetto CAD elaborato dall’architetto Michele Calvano che ha ridisegnato la città sulle immagini risalenti a prima del terremoto. La stampa degli edifici e delle abitazioni, dettagliata di particolari quali archi porte e finestre, è stata realizzata con XFAB. L’augurio per le zone terremotate è quello di avere una pronta ricostruzione mantenendo l’identità e l’aspetto originale della cittadina.

the town devastated by the earthquake During the last Maker Faire Rome, a detailed reproduction of the city of Amatrice has been presented. The little Italian town has been devastated by the earthquake on 24th August 2016 and, with the purpose of supporting the evacuated citizens, DWS together with Alessandro Ranellucci and the designer Michele Calvano have joined to realize the three-dimensional map of the ancient historical centre.

The artwork is a CAD drawing elaborated on the imagines captured before the earthquake and 3D printed, with dimensions of 2 x 4 meters. DWS has printed the blocks with houses and buildings with XFAB, the stereolitoghraphy 3D printer which solidifies liquid material through a laser source. It is a wish for a prompt reconstruction, in order to maintain the identity and the original aspect of the town.
