The gold and jewellery market is looking with renewed confidence towards the upturn in business and towards the next edition of VOS Vicenzaoro September - The Jewellery Boutique Show, the international jewellery exhibition by IEG - Italian Exhibition Group, which will finally be held in Vicenza from 10 to 14 September 2021, together with T.Gold and VOVintage.

About one hundred companies have confirmed their physical attendance from 10th to 14th September at T.GOLD, the international show for jewellery machinery and the most innovative technologies applied to gold and jewellery processing, organized by IEG - Italian Exhibition Group, which heads the sole directorship of B2B events for the international gold and jewellery industry. Attending companies include, among others, key market players like Legor Group Spa, SISMA Spa, LM INDUSTRY SRL, OMBI Srl, INVIMEC Srl, DWS Srl, B.T.T. Moreover, in 2021, T.GOLD will be housed in a new location inside the same exhibition area as Vicenzaoro September. IEG has, in fact, redesigned the layout of T.GOLD to guarantee exhibitor and visitor safety in terms of social distancing. Larger spaces and adjacent locations – without the need for participants to take the shuttle – will make the visitors’ itinerary much more fluid and create greater synergy between the finished jewellery exhibition and that of the tools for creating it.

Buyers will easily find their way around the exhibition’s six macro-category divisions: - preparation of alloys, galvanic treatments; - digital prototyping and production; - mechanical machinings, grindings, laser cut; assembly and welding; - refining and recovery of production waste; - finishing, polishing and enamels.

Buongiorno, Presidente Barettoni. Iniziamo dalla stretta attualità. T.Gold quest’anno, per la prima volta, trova una collocazione completamente integrata con VicenzaOro, quasi un riconoscimento ulteriore, in un periodo così difficile, dell’importanza e del valore aggiunto delle aziende produttrici di macchinari e tecnologie applicate al mondo dell’oreficeria e dei preziosi - senza dimenticare ambiti tecnologicamente vicini come il settore dell’occhialeria -. Quali vantaggi strategici possono determinarsi, grazie a questa nuova collocazione?

Senza dubbio, essere arrivati a presentare le tecnologie nella sede espositiva centrale è stato per noi non solo un grande risultato ma soprattutto il riconoscimento di tutta l’attività che è stata fatta nel corso President Barettoni, nice to meet you. Let’s start with a topical question. This year, for the first time, T.Gold is completely integrated with VicenzaOro. In these difficult times, it is an acknowledgement of the importance and added value of companies producing machinery and technologies applied to the world of gold and jewellery - not forgetting technologically close areas such as the eyewear sector -.

Undoubtedly, being able to present the technologies in the main exhibition centre was not only a great achievement for us, but above all a recognition of

di tanti anni. Nelle precedenti gestioni della fiera sicuramente non l’attuale – l’ambito macchinari è sempre stato vissuto come un qualcosa di secondario, o quantomeno come qualcosa di accessorio all’esposizione della gioielleria. Ora è stato fatto un percorso che ha sottolineato il valore aggiunto delle nostre aziende perché - è inutile in questo caso essere falsamente modesti - con l’attività dell’associazione non facciamo altro che mettere in risalto il lavoro dei nostri associati: in altri termini, i risultati che otteniamo vanno di pari passo con le tecnologie sviluppate dalle nostre aziende. A questo proposito, possiamo senza ombra di dubbio dire che a tutt’oggi il valore e la qualità assoluta espressi dai produttori italiani a livello mondiale è impareggiabile e fortunatamente anche inimitabile, anche se sono tante le aziende che provano di continuo a replicare i nostri macchinari - grazie a Dio con scarsi risultati -.

Per noi chiaramente questo sarà un appuntamento importante. Avremo la possibilità, per una volta, di stare vicino ai nostri clienti. Diciamo “per una volta” perché sappiamo bene che quello di quest’anno è un posizionamento speciale, legato ad una edizione che purtroppo risente ancora in modo importante del cataclisma covid, che ha portato ad uno sconvolgimento anche in termini di presenza degli espositori. Quando - come tutti ci auguriamo - tutto tornerà alla normalità, T.Gold dovrà essere posizionato in un’area per la quale stiamo studiando la miglior ipotesi realizzativa insieme a IEG - fiera di Vicenza, partner cui oggi siamo fattivamente legati da un accordo strategico che vede AFEMO in prima linea nell’organizzazione di T.Gold come consulente, sia in termini di acquisizione di nuovi espositori, valutando la qualità dei macchinari che andranno poi ad

In previous managements of the fair - certainly not in the current one - machinery was always seen as something secondary, or at least something accessory to the jewellery exhibition. Now we have taken a course that has enhanced the added value of our companies because – to be said without false modesty - with the activities of the association we do nothing other than highlight the activities of our associates: in other words, the results we achieve go hand in hand with the technologies developed by our companies. In this regard, we can undoubtedly say that the value and absolute quality of the technology expressed by Italian companies worldwide is unparalleled and fortunately also inimitable, even though there are many companies around the world that try to copy our technologies every day, with poor results.

Clearly, this year’s event will be an important one for us. We will have the opportunity, for once, to be close to our customers.

We say “for once” because we are well aware that this year’s is a special positioning, linked to this edition which unfortunately is still significantly affected by the covid cataclysm, which has led to an upheaval also in terms of exhibitor presence.

When everything returns to normal, as we hope it will, T.Gold will have to be positioned in an area for which we are studying the best hypothesis together with IEG - Fiera di Vicenza, a partner to which we are now actively linked with an important agreement that sees AFEMO at the forefront in the organisation of T.Gold as a consultant to the fair both in terms of acquiring new exhibitors, assessing the quality of the machinery they will then exhibit, and in the qualitative assessment of the buyers to “approach” the event. Clearly this will be an important event for us, and we are aware of all the difficulties we will encounter: we certainly do not expect the event to be at full capacity, but we are confident that we will achieve at least satisfactory results. The organisational work that is done with IEG is really important; our director works daily with Director Carniello’s staff: this has allowed us to evaluate every aspect of the event on a daily basis, managing to find the best solutions for them in terms as organisers, for us as a group of exhibitors. In conclusion, what we have done in this special year has been a team effort of great trust and great hope.

Chiaramente questo per noi sarà un appuntamento importante e siamo consci di tutte le difficoltà che andremo ad incontrare: sicuramente non ci aspettiamo una manifestazione a pieno regime ma siamo fiduciosi di portare a casa risultati quantomeno soddisfacenti.

L’attività organizzativa fatta con IEG è veramente importante: il nostro direttore lavora quotidianamente con lo staff del direttore Carniello e questo ha permesso la valutazione in tempo reale di ogni aspetto dell’evento, riuscendo a trovare le soluzioni migliori - per loro come organizzatori, per noi come gruppo di espositori. Traendo le conclusioni, un lavoro d’equipe fatto di grande fiducia e grande speranza.

AFEMO comprende, tra i propri associati, aziende d’eccellenza decisamente proiettate al futuro. Alcuni tra i vostri associati, in particolare, investono ogni anno in ricerca e sviluppo una quota consistente dei propri budget. Quali strumenti mettete loro a disposizione per far conoscere i risultati di queste eccellenze? È vero, il successo della tecnologia per la produzione orafa italiana - e in particolare il successo degli associati di AFEMO - è dato dalla serietà delle nostre aziende, che investono oggi in ricerca applicata con una visione a medio-lungo termine: questa è una delle motivazioni che ci permettono di vedere le nostre tecnologie costantemente all’avanguardia.

Oltre ai continui investimenti, va citato senza dubbio lo studio tailor-made dei macchinari, fatto insieme ai nostri clienti. E bene ricordare che le lavorazioni in termini concettuali non cambiano; cambiano invece i particolari che vengono modificati continuamente in base alle esigenze di un mercato che, ad esempio, vuole per quest’anno e per i prossimi due anni un certo tipo di prodotto e successivamente, mutando le richieste di consumo, richiede con la massima rapidità anche un cambio nelle tecnologie di produzione. Senza dubbio, le due chiavi di volta sono mantenere la vicinanza ai nostri clienti ascoltando le loro esigenze e mantenere questa vicinanza soprattutto nel post-vendita, dove forniamo un servizio a 360 °, dai servizi di base a quelli erogati da remoto. Se, ad esempio, una macchina che vendiamo in India segnala un problema, noi da remoto possiamo assumerne la governance, allineandola alle nuove esigenze o risolvendo l’eventuale proble-

Afemo’s members include companies of excellence that are resolutely forward-looking. Some of your associates, in particular, invest a substantial proportion of their budgets in research and development every year. What tools do you provide them with to publicise the results of this excellence?

It is true that the success of Italian gold production technologies - and in particular the success of AFEMO associates - is due to the reliability of our companies, which invest in applied research with a medium- to long-term vision: this is one of the reasons why we see our technology constantly at the cutting edge. In addition to continuous investment, we should also mention the tailor-made design of our machinery, carried out together with our customers.

It is worth remembering that, clearly, the machining operations do not change in conceptual terms, but the parts do change, and they are continually modified according to the needs of the market, which, for example, wants a certain type of product this year and for the next two years, and then, as consumer demands change, clearly also requires a change in production technology. Without a doubt, the two keystones are to remain close to our customers by listening to their needs and always being close to them, especially in after-sales services, where we provide a 360° service, from basic services to services provided remotely. Dopo questo periodo difficilissimo, si iniziano a vedere segnali incoraggianti di ripresa. In particolare, il made in Italy della tecnologia sembra aver mantenuto tutto il suo appeal... com’è l’andamento del mercato internazionale, dal vostro punto di vista? Quali le opportunità per i vostri associati?

Senza dubbio il periodo è stato difficile. Come tutti abbiamo sentito l’impatto della pandemia, ma questo non ha portato a situazioni di crisi strutturale: il mercato si è un po’ rallentato ma non abbiamo mai smesso di lavorare. Questo è potuto accadere perché negli anni abbiamo investito tanto ed in modo continuativo: rappresentiamo aziende che sono sempre state presenti a livello internazionale, in tutto il mondo, per vendere o per dare assistenza. Se questo tipo di lavoro viene fatto bene, uno stop-over di un anno e mezzo non può chiaramente cancellare tutto quanto fatto in precedenza. Logicamente, sentiamo la mancanza del contatto diretto delle fiere, delle visite ai clienti, dei workshop che facciamo in giro per il mondo; ma avendo fatto un lavoro importante in passato, dagli accordi internazionali presi ad esempio con il governo dell’Uzbekistan a quello che stiamo studiando con lo stato del Botswana, arrivando all’intensa attività di collaborazione con il Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico e

that we sell in India reports a problem, we remotely have the governance of the machine, aligning it to the new requirements or resolving any technical problem. This is undoubtedly the key to our success and our way of working, which goes from continuous investment to proximity to the customer.

After this very difficult period, we are beginning to see encouraging signs of recovery. In particular, Italian technology seems to have retained all its appeal... What is the international market trend like from your point of view? What are the opportunities for your associates?

Without a doubt the period was difficult. Like everyone else, we felt the impact of the pandemic, but this did not lead to a structural crisis: the market slowed down a bit, but we never stopped working. This has happened because we have always invested a lot over the years: we represent companies that have always been present internationally, all over the world, to sell or to provide assistance. If this kind of work is done well, a one-and-a-half year stop-over clearly cannot erase all that was done previously. Logically, we miss the direct contact of the trade fairs, customer visits and workshops we do around the world. We have been able to get through this period with a certain serenity, thanks to what we have built up in the past, from the international agreements made for example with the government of Uzbekistan or the one we are studying with the state of Botswana, to the intense collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development and the ICE offices. It is logical that, like everyone else, we live off of interpersonal contacts, and interpersonal contacts can never be lacking; now we hope that this situation is going to fade away and that there will be no further problems to deal with. In this sense we are hopeful: a test bench will be the September fair, where we will at least begin to understand how neighbouring countries respond to the market. In this regard, we are counting on being able to meet our European customers, those from North Africa, the Middle East and the Gulf area, just as we hope our interlocutors from the former Eastern European countries will arrive. I want to repeat that our mentality will never change. We will never lose the desire to be close to our customers and to invest in them, in order to be able to withstand and overcome any dark moments like the one we have just been through.

gli uffici dell’ICE, abbiamo potuto superare questo periodo con una certa serenità. È logico che, come tutti, viviamo di contatti interpersonali e che questi contatti non possano mai mancare; ora ci auguriamo che questa situazione stia andando a scemare e che non ci siano ulteriori problematiche da dover affrontare. In questo senso siamo fiduciosi: un banco di prova sarà la fiera di settembre, dove inizieremo a capire quantomeno come rispondono in termini di mercato i paesi più vicini. A questo proposito, contiamo di poter incontrare i nostri clienti europei, quelli dell’area del Nord Africa, del Medio Oriente e dell’area del Golfo, così come speriamo arrivino i nostri interlocutori dai paesi ex Europa dell’est. Voglio ripetere che la nostra mentalità non cambierà mai, così come non perderemo mai la voglia di stare vicini ai nostri clienti e di investire per loro, in modo da riuscire a sopportare e superare con successo eventuali momenti bui come quello che abbiamo appena passato.

The role of President involves decision-making and the ability to address the development policies of an association. How do you play this delicate role?

My way of interpreting the role of president of AFEMO is to be the reference person at the service of the associates.

I - as president - and we, as the board of managers, together with our director, have the primary and absolute objective of listening to our members and bringing their needs to the various discussion tables. I believe that this should be the role of the president of an association and that there can be no other way. In addition, over the last two years, we have established a much closer relationship with our members that has led us to be able to benefit from certain services directly from our members: to give an example, one of our associates, BTT - a

Il ruolo di Presidente comporta l’assunzione di decisioni e la capacità di indirizzare le politiche di sviluppo di una associazione. Come interpreta questo ruolo così delicato?

La mia modalità di operare come presidente di AFEMO è sempre stata quella di essere un rappresentante, una persona al servizio degli associati. Io come presidente e noi - come consiglio direttivo -, unitamente all’ l’operato del nostro direttore, abbiamo come primo e assoluto obiettivo quello di ascoltare gli associati e di portare nei vari tavoli di discussione quelle che sono le loro esigenze. Io ritengo che questo debba essere il ruolo del presidente di un’associazione e che non ci possano essere altre modalità. Inoltre, negli ultimi due anni, abbiamo in-

staurato con le nostre aziende un rapporto molto più stretto che ci ha portato a poter fruire di determinati servizi attingendo direttamente alle risorse presenti al loro interno: per fare un esempio, una delle nostre associate, BTT - azienda del gruppo LEM Industries - ci fornisce oggi il supporto del proprio ufficio marketing, permettendoci di fare diverse attività grazie ad una persona incaricata di supportarci. Questa modalità verrà ancor più ampliata nel prossimo futuro e ritengo, come presidente, che seguire quelle che sono le esigenze dei nostri rappresentati non possa che portarci a risultati positivi. Va da sé che poi, come spesso accade anche in seno ad una azienda od in una famiglia, gli ambiti associativi possano portare al confronto di opinioni e visioni talvolta differenti.

Chiaramente, nella vita associativa ognuno contri-

buisce con le proprie idee e manifestando le proprie esigenze e spesse volte non è possibile accontentare tutti. Tuttavia, di volta in volta cerchiamo di fare del nostro meglio e ciò che non riusciamo a realizzare nel presente cerchiamo di attuarlo appena possibile con perizia ed attenzione, con l’obiettivo di poter offrire sempre servizi di livello elevato, impegnandoci al massimo per ottenere questi risultati. Il mio modo di interpretare il ruolo di presidente è ancora, per me, ricevere le telefonate dei nostri associati anche alle sei del mattino, qualsivoglia siano le necessità - dalla cosa più importante alla cosa più semplice-. Per questo, io sono sempre a loro disposizione, per dare e ricevere quelle indicazioni che possono trasformarsi in azioni in grado di determinare risultati positivi per tutto il gruppo degli associati.

ver, from time to time we try to do our best and what we cannot achieve in the present we try to implement as soon as possible with skill and care, with the aim of always being able to offer the best, committing the maximum of our efforts. My way of interpreting the role of president is still, for me, to receive phone calls from our members even at six o’clock in the morning, whatever the need may be - from the most important thing to the simplest one -. I am always at their disposal, to give and receive those indications that can be transformed into actions capable of producing positive results for the whole group of associates.

On the occasion of the next T.Gold in Vicenza, we asked Simone Marzoli - C.E.O. / Customer Service & Sales - and Stefano Marzoli - C.E.O. / Product Manager & R/D - a few questions to find out more about their activities and current developments.

Come avete affrontato le conseguenze della pandemia?

Come molti nostri partner, abbiamo visto la crisi impattare su anni di lavoro e sforzi. Il prezzo delle materie prime è schizzato alle stelle.

Tuttavia Il coronavirus non ci ha piegati, ha fatto in modo che trovassimo nuove idee e stimoli : la qualità dei nostri prodotti e la puntualità nelle consegne sono rimaste le stesse. Se ne viene fuori solo con il lavoro, sforzandoci di capire la situazione.

Effetti della crisi corona Non abbiamo potuto incontrarci con i nostri numerosi partners internazionali, data la cancellazione di tutte le fiere di settore. Le fiere sono il momento cruciale nel quale ci possiamo aggiornare con il mercato. Siamo abituati a stare il più vicino possibile ai nostri clienti, e l’impossibilità di fare questo è stato sicuramente quello di cui più ci rammarichiamo.

A seguito di ciò, abbiamo assistito a un breve periodo di stagnazione del business. Noi, però, con l’ottimismo che ci contraddistingue, guardiamo fiduciosi ad una nuova ripresa.

Qual è il segreto della crescita degli ultimi dieci anni?

Il segreto è il coraggio di innovare, proponendoci come azienda trainante dell’innovazione nel business dell’iniezione a cera persa. Siamo una ditta a vocazione internazionale, ed è per questo che siamo di casa ovunque. In un mercato sempre più interconnesso, ci proponiamo come azienda fornitrice di prodotti che risolvono esigenze reali.

Dopo più di 10 anni nel mercato, come venite percepiti dai clienti che vi hanno scelto?

Ci definiamo un’azienda Customer-centric: negli anni abbiamo lavorato per costruire relazioni a lungo termine, offrendo assistenza sempre e comunque. Il nostro marchio evoca prima di tutto serietà.

La Missione di Masterix è quella di ispirare il cliente a trasformare i propri sogni in gioiello, mettendo a sua disposizione le tecnologie più avanzate nel campo dell’iniezione a cera persa e dedicandosi ad assisterlo lungo tutte le fasi del processo della microfusione.

Come avete deciso di sviluppare nuove linee di prodotto?

Parlando con i nostri clienti ed ascoltandone le richieste. Il nostro progetto è quello di offrire un pacchetto completo di prodotti e servizi che possano semplificare ed automatizzare il processo d’iniezione. Ognuno dei nostri prodotti passa attraverso una

How did you face the plague’s aftermath?

Similarly to many of our partners, we noted that Covid made an impact. Raw materials’price skyrocketed. However, Coronavirus did not stop us, it had us find new ideas and that stimulated us. Our products’ quality and respect of delivery terms remained the same. Only working harder will get us out of this situation.

What were the effects of Coronavirus crisis?

We could not meet our many international partners, because all of the jewelery fairs were cancelled.

Fairs represent the crucial moment when we can compare ourself with the market.

We are used to stay as close as we can to our customers, so the fact we could not do this was definetly what we are the most disappointed of.

After that, we noted a brief period of market stagnation. We are optimistic folks and look confidently to the future.

What’s the secret of last years’ growth?

The secret is having courage to innovate and propose ourself as the leading company of lost wax injection business’ innovation. We have an international vocation, and that’s why we feel like at home everywhere. We supply products that meet real needs in a ever more interconnected world.

Masterix has been on the market for more that 10 years, what is your customers’ opinion?

We define ourselves as a customer-centric company: we have always worked to build long-term business relationships, providing assistance no matter what. Our brand means reliability. Masterix’s mission is to inspire our customers to turn their dreams into jewels, placing at their disposal the most advanced technologies in the field of lost wax injection and dedicate itself to assist them throughout all the phases of microfusion process.

Why did you decide to develop new lines of products?

We did so speaking to our customers and listening to their requests. Our project is to offer a full package of products and services that will simplify and automate the injection process.

Each one of our products goes through strict series of controls, so that other products’ quality is equivalent to injectors’.

Do you produce 4.0 industry - ready machines?

We do. We have produced 4.0 machines for three years. We believe in data and take decision suppor-

Il biennio 2020/2021 – segnato dalla crisi sanitaria del Covid-19 – ha visto Masterix concentrarsi sulla ricerca dell’automazione per tutti i processi di lavorazione.

Gli ingegneri e i tecnici del team Ricerca e Sviluppo Masterix hanno lavorato tenendo presente le due caratteristiche cardine delle macchine Masterix: qualità e solidità.

The Engineers and technicians of Masterix’s R&D Team worked taking into account the two main components of Masterix’s machines: quality and sturdiness.

Nuovi metodi per ridurre il filo

New methods of reducing wire

La sperimentazione di nuovi percorsi per la riduzione del filo viene considerata ancora molto poco dalle realtà industriali e orafe.

Questo perché molte aziende non hanno un reparto R&D interno, mentre altre sono limitate da macchinari obsoleti e seguono percorsi già conosciuti, in grado di portare risultati certi.

In realtà, la sperimentazione nella laminazione del filo potrebbe condurre a nuovi metodi per ridurre il filo in modo più veloce e meno costoso.

The experimentation of new paths for the cold wire reduction is still considered very little by the industrial and goldsmith realities.

This is because many companies do not have an internal R&D department, while others are limited by obsolete machinery and follow already known paths, capable of bringing certain results.

Indeed, the experimentation in wire rolling could lead to new methods of reducing wire, faster and cheaper.

Le basi della laminazione del filo Che sia destinato al settore industriale o al settore orafo, il filo viene sempre fabbricato a partire da un metallo, o da una lega metallica, che viene fuso e successivamente solidificato tramite i processi di colata ed estrusione.

Alla fine di queste lavorazioni però, il prodotto finale non è ancora pronto per essere immesso sul mercato e necessita di ulteriore lavorazione.

A questo punto della produzione, normalmente il diametro di partenza del filo è variabile, suscettibile alla tecnica di lavorazione e alla tipologia di impianti utilizzati. Tuttavia, è possibile affermare che molto spesso il filo viene lavorato (o deformato plasticamente a freddo) a partire da Ø25 mm per poter arrivare dopo laminazione o profilatura fino a diametri di 0.5 mm.

Ma se le esigenze di laminazione fossero diverse, con i laminatoi obsoleti, non sarebbe possibile ottenere altre riduzioni del filo.

The fundamentals of wire cold Rolling The wire, destined to the industry and the goldsmith sector, is always manufactured from a piece of molten metal (or alloy), which is later solidified through casting and extrusion processes.

The final product of these processes, though, is not ready to be sold on the market just yet and requires further processing.

At this point, normally the starting wire diameter can vary, influenced by the technique and the equipment used. However, it’s possible to say that usually but we can say that most of the wire is cold formed starting from Ø25 mm down to diameters of 0.5 mm after rolling and profiling.

But what if the rolling needs are different from the usual?

With the obsolete rolling mills, no further wire reductions could be achieved.

Esistono delle alternative per la riduzione del filo?

Se vogliamo usare la metafora del viaggio possiamo dire che, come tutte le strade portano a Roma, allo stesso modo ci sono diverse strade che possono essere intraprese per ridurre il filo in sezione.

Infatti, per raggiungere una meta, è possibile scegliere tra diverse vie: quella più rapida, quella più facile, quella più economica, ecc.

Allo stesso modo, nel caso della riduzione a freddo del filo esistono diverse alternative per raggiungere l’obiettivo: queste variano a seconda del materiale e della relativa applicazione finale e delle necessità di produzione.

Quali sono le necessità costruttive più comuni quando si parla di riduzione del filo?

INVIMEC, nel corso dei suoi anni di esperienza nella laminazione di metalli, ha rilevato le necessità più comuni di produzione del filo.

• costo moderato: l’obiettivo primario è effettuare la riduzione in sezione nel minor tempo possibile; • presenza di proprietà metallurgiche particolari: non tutti i metalli sono uguali e presentano proprietà diverse e intrinseche, legate alla lavorabilità o duttilità, che definiscono quanto siano predisposti ad essere deformati; • presenza di proprietà termiche ed elettriche particolari

Are there any alternatives for cold wire reduction?

If we would use the metaphor of the journey – and an old known motto – we can say that, as all roads lead to Rome, in the same way, there are different roads that can be taken to reduce the wire in section.

Infact, to reach a destination, it is possible to choose between different ways: the fastest, the easiest, the cheapest, etc.

Similarly, in the case of cold reduction of the wire, there are several alternatives to achieve the goal: these vary according to the material and its final application and production needs.

Scegliere la strada migliore non è così semplice: in base al materiale e all’applicazione finale è necessario seguire un percorso specifico.

La strada migliore Utilizzare un laminatoio in linea con sistema a treno è la soluzione giusta per tutte queste necessità di produzione.

Grazie al treno di laminazione infatti è possibile: • configurare il numero di passaggi di laminazione; • adattare la sezione di riduzione del materiale; • produrre un filo senza spigoli e senza torsione; • ottenere un filo di qualità costante e ripetibile; • evitare le rotture del filo grazie al controllo della tensione.

Nello specifico, l’azienda offre la possibilità di: • testare sei diversi modelli di treni di laminazione; • effettuare prove tecniche sui materiali (anche su quelli che non si prestano a essere trafilati, come lo zinco e lo stagno); • simulare il processo produttivo; • verificare il risultato tramite analisi metallurgiche e dimensionali.

Which are the most common construction needs when it comes to cold wire reduction?

INVIMEC, throughout their years of experience in metal cold rolling, have identified the most common wire manufacturing needs.

• moderate cost: when the main goal is to carry out the reduction in section in the shortest possible time; • presence of particular metallurgical properties: not all metals are the same, they all have different and intrinsic properties, linked to workability or ductility, which define which degree a material can sustain plastic deformation under tensile stress before failure; • presence of particular thermal and electrical properties such as expansion or thermal capacity, conductivity, etc; • materials with particular shapes and dimensions, with specific tolerances that require special processing or applications; • aesthetic characteristics to be preserved such as surface polish and wear resistance; • presence of specific mechanical characteristics related to reliability and durability, such as tensile strength or breaking load.

Choosing the best route is not so simple: based on the material and the final application, a specific path should be followed.

The better way Using a rolling mill with a tandem system is the right solution for all these production needs.

Thanks to the tandem rolling mill it is possible to: • configure the number of rolling passages; • adapt reduction section to the material; • produce a wire without corner or twisting; • obtain a wire with constant quality and repeatable; • avoid wire breakage, thanks to tension control.

New laser welding sources and an universal chain machine

Le nuove sorgenti di saldatura laser SL GO e SL PLUS di SISMA assicurano perfetta stabilità ottica, grande affidabilità e ripetibilità di saldatura anche con alti volumi produttivi. Grazie al sistema di raffreddamento potenziato l’operatività è garantita anche in condizioni ostili. Il modello PLUS integra l’innovativo Cruise Control (brevettato) che elettronicamente misura l’effettiva potenza in fibra e la mantiene costante nel tempo.

La nuova macchina figaro per gourmetta e forzatina F2/ UL (L in versione laser), con range filo fino a 0,80 mm, va ad arricchire la gamma SISMA. Il pannello touchscreen è al centro del controllo della macchina: senza interventi meccanici è possibile cambiare in tempo reale la configurazione della macchina e del prodotto catena desiderato, passando da gourmetta destra/sinistra a gourmetta normale o forzatina con sequenza alternata degli anelli lunghi e corti, anche a macchina in funzione. Il concatenamento della forzatina non necessita del piatto raccogli catena.

Nella versione F2/UL la saldatura degli anelli avviene in macchina grazie all’abbinata con una sorgente laser SL PLUS 50.

Thanks to the enhanced cooling system, operation is guaranteed even in hostile conditions. The PLUS model integrates the innovative Cruise Control (patented), which electronically measures the actual fiber power and keeps it constant over time.

The new figaro machine for curb chain and cable chain F2/ UL (L in laser version), with a wire range up to 0.80 mm, enriches the range of SISMA. The touch screen panel is now at the center of the machine’s control: without mechanical interventions it is possible to change the configuration of the machine and of the desired chain product in real time, switching from right/left curb chain to normal or cable chain with alternating sequence of long and short rings, even when the machine is running. The concatenation of the cable chain does not require the chain collecting plate.

In the F2/UL version, the welding of the rings takes place in the machine thanks to the combination with laser source SL PLUS 50.

Focus: CHEMICAL ANALYSIS ON THE PRODUCTS

COLORANTI AZOICI Uso: rientrano tra i principali coloranti usati nell’industria tessile e del cuoio.

Tossicità: alcuni coloranti azoici, in caso di assorbimento cutaneo o di ingestione, rilasciano all’interno dell’organismo delle sostanze conosciute con il nome di ammine aromatiche, alcune delle quali sono cancerogene.

Restrizioni: Il Regolamento Europeo REACH nell’Allegato

AZO DYES Use: they are among the most used colouring agents in the textile and leather sectors.

Toxicity: some azo dyes, in case of cutaneous absorption or ingestion, release within the body of the substances known with the name of aromatic amines, some of which are carcinogenic.

I tessuti e la pelle devono rispettare gli standard di sicurezza previsti dalle normative, così come le altre componenti della montatura. Pertanto, devono essere sottoposti a test chimici per verificarne la conformità ai requisiti necessari.

Per soddisfare le esigenze delle aziende, il laboratorio chimico di Certottica ha predisposto una serie di analisi da effettuare su TESSUTI, sia naturali che artificiali, e su PELLE, al fine di valutare l’assenza di sostanze nocive per la salute nei prodotti.

Textiles and leather must respect the safety standards set out by regulations, just like the other frame components. Therefore, they must undergo chemical tests to check their compliance with the necessary requirements.

In order to meet companies needs, Certottica laboratory has prepared a series of analyses to be carried out on TEXTILES, both natural and man-made ones, on LEATHER, PLASTIC and METAL components, e in order to assess there are no health hazardous substances in the products.

XVII pone il limite di concentrazione di 30 ppm per 22 ammine aromatiche, riconosciute come cancerogene, in tessuti e in cuoio a contatto diretto e prolungato con la pelle.

FORMALDEIDE Uso: sostanza organica usata nei processi produttivi tessili nella fase di finissaggio, di lavaggio, in resine antipiega, in ausiliari di finissaggio easy-care, in fissatori di materie coloranti, in leganti per stampe a pigmento e come agente antimuffa e stabilizzante.

Tossicità: riconosciuto agente cancerogeno, fortemente irritante per inalazione e può causare dermopatie.

Restrizioni: di carattere volontario, con riferimento ai limiti posti nei marchi di qualità Ecolabel, Oeko Tex. CROMO ESAVALENTE Uso: presente in articoli di cuoio come residuo delle lavorazioni di conciatura delle pelli. La sua presenza nella concia può essere evitata, ma i sali di Cromo trivalente, non allergizzante, che sono necessari a questa fase di lavorazione, vengono spesso sostituiti con quelli di Cromo esavalente, più economici.

Tossicità: classificato come cancerogeno di classe 1A. Può inoltre causare allergie da contatto molto severe, anche in concentrazioni molto basse.

Restrizioni: dal 1° Maggio 2015 è oggetto di una restrizione introdotta nell’Allegato XVII del Regolamento Europeo REACH per gli articoli in cuoio e loro parti. Il limite per gli articoli che vengono a contatto con la cute è 3 mg/kg (0,0003% in peso) sul peso totale secco del cuoio.

FTALATI Uso: additivi utilizzati per rendere morbide e flessibili le plastiche (il PVC è la principale materia plastica nella quale vengono impiegati). Nel tessile vengono usati per la realizzazione di stampe o di altri elementi in plastica morbida.

Tossicità: alcuni degli ftalati presenti in commercio sono classificati come interferenti endocrini.

Restrizioni: un limitato gruppo di ftalati (DBP, BBP, DEHP, DIBP, DINP, DNOP, DIDP) è soggetto a restrizione europea (punto 51 e 52 dell’Allegato XVII del Regolamento Europeo REACH): il loro utilizzo non è consentito a concentrazioni superiori allo 0,1% in giocattoli e in articoli destinati all’infanzia. Le limitazioni verranno estese anche ad altri composti appartenenti alla classe degli ftalati, già inseriti nella Candidate List (elenco delle sostanze estremamente preoccupanti candidate all’Autorizzazione) dell’ECHA. Dal 25 Aprile 2018 la commissione americana CPSIA vieta 3 ulteriori ftalati (DPENP, DHEXP, DCHP) nei giocattoli e negli articoli da puericoltura in concentrazioni superiori allo 0.1%.

Restrictions: the REACH regulation sets a concentration limit of 30 ppm for 22 aromatic amines recognized as carcinogenic in textiles and leather subject to direct and prolonged contact with the skin.

FORMALDEHYDE Use: it is an organic substance used in textile manufacturing processes at finishing stage, when washing natural fibres, in anti-crease resins, in easycare finishing products, in colouring fixers, in binders for pigment printing and as anti-mould and stabilizing agent.

Toxicity: it is a known carcinogenic agent, classified in category 1B of the REACH Regulation(Annexe XIV) since 2014, and it is highly irritating if inhaled and can cause dermopathies.

Restrictions: voluntary, with reference to the limits set in the Eco-label, Oeko Tex. HEXAVALENT CHROMIUM Use: it can be found in leather as residue of the leather tanning process. Its presence in tanning can be avoided but, trivalent Chromium salts (non allergenic) which are necessary in thismanufacturing step, are often replaced with hexavalent Chromium salts, which are cheaper.

Toxicity: it is classified as carcinogen of class 1A. Moreover, it can cause very serious contact allergies, also in very low concentrations.

Restrictions: since may 1st 2015 it is subject to a new restriction introduced by Annexe XVII of the REACH Regulation for leather goods and their parts. The limit for items which come into contact with the skin is 3mg/kg (0,0003% in weight) on the overall dry leather weight.

PHTHALATES Use: are the most widely used additives to make plastic soft and flexible (PVC is the main plastic material in which they are used). In textiles they are used to make prints or other soft plastic elements. In leather they can be used in the finishing stage of tanned leather.

Toxicity: some of the phthalates on the market are classified as endocrine disruptors.

Restrictions: a limited number of phthalates (DBP, BBP, DEHP, DIBP, DINP, DNOP, DIDP) is subject to European restrictions (point 51 and 52 of Annexe XVII of the REACH Regulation): their use is not permitted in concentrations of over 0.1% in toys and items for children. Limitations will be applied also to other compounds of the phthalates class, already part of the ECHA Candidate List (list of the substances of very high concern candidate to authorization).From 25 April 2018, the American Commission CPSIA restricted three additional phthalates in toys and childcare articles in concentrations

NICHEL Uso: impiegato per ricoprire altri metalli a scopo decorativo (dona lucentezza e brillantezza) e a scopo funzionale (rende la superficie resistente al degrado, all’invecchiamento, all’attacco ossidante e corrosivo e all’usura).

Tossicità: classificato come possibile cancerogeno per l’uomo (classe IARC 2B), può causare severe allergie per contatto con la pelle.

Restrizioni: il Regolamento Europeo REACH nell’Allegato XVII, punto 27, impone il limite di 0,5 microgrammi per centimetro quadrato a settimana al rilascio del Nichel per gli articoli di gioielleria, di bigiotteria e di altri oggetti che vengono in contatto con la pelle.

PIOMBO Uso: presente come componente metallico intenzionalmente aggiunto, come impurezza o come additivo per leghe metalliche, come pigmento e come stabilizzante nei polimeri (in particolare nel PVC).

Tossicità: può interferire con l’attività enzimatica e interagire con strutture importanti, come RNA e DNA. L’esposizione a questo metallo è particolarmente dannosa per lo sviluppo dei bambini.

Restrizioni: Il Regolamento Europeo REACH nell’Allegato XVII vieta l’immissione in commercio di articoli con concentrazione di piombo (espressa in metallo) uguale o superiore allo 0,05 % in peso che possano essere messi in bocca dai bambini. Il Piombo è presente anche all’interno della lista delle sostanze candidate (Candidate List), quindi la sua concentrazione all’interno degli articoli non deve superare lo 0.1% in peso.

CADMIO Uso: utilizzato per proteggere dalla corrosione altri materiali, come ferro, rame, acciaio (cadmiatura); per la produzione di leghe speciali; come pigmento in coloranti o vernici.

Toxicity: classified as possible carcinogen for humans (class ARC 2B) and it can cause serious allergies due to contact of the metal with the skin.

Restrictions: the REACH Regulation in Annexe XVII, point 27, sets a limit of 0.5 micrograms per square centimetre per week to Nickel release for jewellery and costume jewellery items and to other objects which come into contact with the skin.

LEAD Use: it is added on purpose, as impurity or as additive for metallic alloys (in particular brass), as pigment and as stabilizer in polymers (in particular in PVC).

Toxicity: it can interfere with the enzymatic activity and interact with important structures such as RNA and DNA. Exposure to this metal is particularly harmful for the development of children.

Restrictions: the REACH Regulation in Annexe XVII forbids the marketing of items, which can be put into the mouth by children, having a lead concentration (expressed in metal) equal or above 0.05% in weight. Lead is also present in the Candidate list, therefore its concentration in the article must not exceed the limit of 0.1% in weight.

CADMIUM Use: employed for the cadmium-plating process, which is used to protect other materials such as steel, copper and iron from corrosion. It can be used also in the manufacturing of special alloys or be employed as colouring pigment

Tossicità: altamente tossico, ha effetti teratogeni e cancerogeni, sostituisce lo zinco in molti complessi ‘metallo-enzima’ e tende ad accumularsi in reni, fegato e in altri organi.

Restrizioni: il Regolamento Europeo REACH nell’Allegato XVII impone delle limitazioni stringenti per la presenza di Cadmio in articoli fabbricati con materie plastiche (< 0,01 % in peso della materia plastica), in articoli pitturati (< 0,1 % in peso della pittura utilizzata) e in leghe per brasatura (< 0,01 % in peso del metallo). Il Cadmio è presente anche all’interno della lista delle sostanze candidate (Candidate List), quindi la sua concentrazione all’interno degli articoli non deve superare lo 0.1% in peso.

METALLI PESANTI Uso: possono essere presenti nei tessili e nel cuoio come residui di lavorazioni (ad es.: tintura, finissaggio, concia).

Tossicità: alcuni metalli pesanti sono classificati come cancerogeni e allergeni, presentano caratteristiche di bioaccumulo (una volta assorbiti dall’organismo tendono ad accumularsi in organi interni come fegato o reni). I metalli con grado di tossicità più elevata sono Nichel, Piombo, Cadmio, Antimonio, Arsenico, Cromo, Mercurio ma anche Cobalto, Manganese, Rame, Selenio, Zinco possono creare danni all’organismo ad alte concentrazioni. Particolare attenzione deve essere riservata alla presenza di metalli pesanti in oggetti destinati a bambini.

Restrizioni: Il Regolamento Europeo REACH pone delle restrizioni soltanto per i metalli pesanti più usati a livello industriale come il Piombo, Cadmio e Nichel.

PROVE QUALITATIVE: PH E SOLIDITA’ DEL COLORE La determinazione del pH dell’estratto acquoso dei tessili e delle pelli è un parametro indicatore della compatibilità cutanea del materiale. I campioni che presentano valori di pH non compresi nell’intervallo di accettabilità, prossimo al valore del pH “eudermico”, potrebbero potenzialmente provocare l’innesco di reazioni allergiche o infiammatorie in soggetti sensibili. Le alterazioni dei valori di pH sono inoltre un utile indicatore degli effetti residui indotti dalle lavorazioni e della qualità dei trattamenti post tintura, che, se correttamente effettuati, garantiscono la neutralizzazione degli eccessi di alcalinità o acidità.

Per solidità del colore si intende la resistenza del colore dei tessili o delle pelli ai diversi agenti di alterazione a cui possono essere esposti. La degradazione del colore del materiale e lo scarico sul tessuto di riferimento non colorato sono un buon indicatore per verificare la tenuta di tinte in tessuti e in pelli.

OTHER HEAVY METALS Use: they can be found in textiles and leather as manufacturing residues (e.g. dyeing, finishing,tanning) Toxicity: Some heavy metals are classified as carcinogens and allergens and have bioaccumulation properties (once absorbed by the body they tend to accumulate in internal organs such as the liver or kidneys) The highest toxicity metals are Nickel (Ni), Lead (Pb), Cadmium (Cd), Antimony (Sb), Arsenic (As), Chromium (Cr), Mercury (Hg), but also Cobalt (Co), Manganese (Mn), Copper (Cu), Selenium (Se), Zinc (Zn) can be harmful for the body in high concentrations. Particular attention must be paid to the presence of heavy metals in objects for children.

Restrictions: the REACH Regulation sets specific limits for the most used heavy metals at industrial level such as Lead, Cadmium and Nickel.

QUALITATIVE TEST: PH AND COLOUR FASTNESS Determining the pH of the aqueous extract of textiles and leathers is a parameter which shows the material skin compatibility. The samples with pH values outside the range of acceptability, near to the “eudermic” pH value, may potentially trigger allergic or inflammatory reactions in sensitive subjects. Moreover, pH alterations are a useful indicator of the residual effects caused by processing and of the quality of the post-dyeing treatments which, when correctly performed, guarantee the neutralization of the excess alkalinity or acidity found in textiles and leather goods.

For colour fastness means the resistance of the colour of textiles and leathers for different alteration agents to which they may be exposed. The color degradation of the material and unloading on the uncolored reference textile are a good indicator to check the tightness of colors in textiles and leathers.

Corso ITS Academy per Eyewar Product Manager Il 24 settembre le prossime selezioni The ITS Academy course for Eyewear Product Managers: The next intake is 24th september Un biennio in cui gli allievi vengono supportati quotidianamente, dove i docenti, provenienti dal mondo del lavoro, tramandano loro la passione che li accompagna in azienda, e dove le realtà del settore che li accolgono in tirocinio li inseriscono in organico permettendo loro di completare il percorso sul campo. Stiamo parlando di una delle punte di diamante dell’Area Formazione di Certottica, il corso ITS Academy per Eyewear Product manager, che a ottobre partirà con l’ottava edizione.

La formula degli ITS, Istituti Tecnici Superiori, voluta a livello ministeriale e fortemente sostenuta in Veneto dall’Assessore all’Istruzione e Formazione Elena Donazzan, è un’alternativa valida e concreta al percorso universitario, che in soli 2 anni – grazie anche all’intensità delle lezioni – prepara gli allievi al mondo del lavoro.

Sono, infatti, 2000 le ore che vanno a comporre il biennio, suddivise in “teoria” e “pratica”. Le prime sono 1200 e, oltre alle lezioni dal taglio estremamente operativo, prevedono laboratori creativi e tecnici, visite a realtà aziendali di spiccato interesse, e trasferte a fiere di settore del calibro di MIDO, la più importante al mondo - o del DaTe, che a Firenze condensa le produzioni di nicchia all’avanguardia dei mercati.

Le 800 ore di tirocinio, invece, si alternano all’aula con 300 ore il primo anno e 500 il secondo, proiettando gli allievi direttamente nel mondo del lavoro: le aziende inseriscono i ragazzi nella professione che porteranno avanti dopo il diploma, calandoli nei ritmi di vita del mondo dell’occhiale.

Chi esce dal corso ITS Academy per Eyewear Product Manager è in grado di progettare un occhiale, partendo dall’analisi dei trend della moda, arrivando alla scelta dei materiali in rapporto alle tendenze e alle caratteristiche funzionali e strutturali del prodotto e di collaborare con i diversi settori aziendali per seguire l’intero ciclo di vita dell’accessorio. Nel mondo del lavoro, quindi, può inserirsi con competenze e conoscenze nelle aree di gestione dell’occhiale o di una linea di occhiali, coordinandone tutte le fasi.

Ricordiamo che una volta sostenuti positivamente gli esami finali, gli allievi conseguono il Diploma di Tecnico Superiore - 5° livello EQF (European Qualification Framework) - che ha valore legale e consente il riconoscimento di Crediti Formativi (CFU) spendibili in ogni Università.

A two year programme in which students receive daily support from teaching staff working in the sector passing on their passion for the work they do in their firms and do work experience with sector firms enabling them to complete their training on the job. We’re talking of the jewel in the Certottica Training Area’s crown, the ITS Academy for Eyewear Product Managers course, now on its eighth year.

The ITS, Istituti Tecnici Superiori - Higher Technical Institutes - formula, with the powerful support and sponsorship, in the Veneto region, of its Councillor for Education and Training, Elena Donazzan, is a valid practical alternative to university and prepares students for the world of work in just two years with an intense programme of lessons.

The course consists of 2000 practical and theoretical lesson hours spanning two years. There are 1200 hours of theoretical work and, in addition to a professional training orientation the lessons also include creative and technical workshops, visits to firms of special interest and attendance at sector fairs of the calibre of MIDO, Milan Eyewear Show, the most important in the world, and DaTe, which focuses on the sector’s avantgarde niche, in Florence.

The 800 hours of internship, on the other hand, are divided up into 300 hours in the first year and 500 in the second with students getting directly involved in the sector’s professional life, in the world they will be working in once they qualify.

On completion of the ITS Academy Eyewear Product Manager course students will be capable of designing eyewear from the starting point of current fashions, choosing materials on the basis of these as well as functional and structural product characteristics and working with various corporate sectors across the whole eyewear life cycle. They will thus be in a position to take part in the world of work and possess the skills and expertise to work in eyewear management or manage an eyewear range and co-ordinate all its phases.

The qualification obtained by students on passing the final exams is a Higher Technical Education Diploma - level 5 EQF (European Qualification Framework) - with legal value, entitling them to educational credits (CFUs) applicable in all university contexts.

Since its birth, this company has always been a supplier of the major manufacturers of optical products worldwide, who recognize its excellent production quality.

Amongst the most successful innovations introduced in the market is NSP (Naturally Soft Pad), which was born following years of research, as an alternative to PVC. This material, compared to PVC, is softer and more comfortable on the skin, maintains its transparency over time and lasts longer.

Due anni senza un evento in presenza, due anni sfogliando cataloghi virtuali, due anni vedendosi solo in video: è un periodo di tempo lungo, troppo lungo.

Sarà sicuramente emozionante ritrovarsi a SILMO PARIS, la grande fiera d’autunno dell’ottica-occhialeria dal 24 al 27 settembre al Parc des Expositions Paris Nord Villepinte.

I preparativi si intensificano e l’edizione 2021 dell’appuntamento internazionale dell’ottica e dell’occhialeria è sotto l’insegna dell’ottimismo: “Finalmente tutto il settore potrà riunirsi di nuovo”, ricorda Amélie Morel, Presidente di SILMO Paris, che ha realizzato, insieme a Eric Lenoir, Direttore della fiera, un video di aggiornamento per tutti i visitatori.

Uomo dai molti talenti e dalla personalità atipica, Jean-Christophe Leblanc presiede la giuria di SILMO d’OR 2021, prestando una visione curiosa e aperta, con la sua energia e la sua creatività. Dopo gli studi di medicina, che gli forniscono una solida formazione in fisica e chimica, entra all’ATEP, una scuola parigina di arte e comunicazione visiva, e scopre l’installazione del volume nello spazio, il design, la scenografia, la scultura, l’arte della decorazione, ecc.

Appena laureato, riceve il premio David Weil per le opere d’arte dell’Accademia delle Arti, realizza un film d’animazione in stop-motion, diventa insegnante e incontra Alain Duverne, il creatore dei Guignols de l’Info, che lo invita a far parte della sua squadra. Un primo incontro seguito da altri (Alain Chabat, Luc Besson...) che gli apre le porte dell’industria cinematografica dove crea diversi universi e disegna scenografie.

Allo stesso tempo, il suo senso della messa in scena seduce Stefan Lubrina, decoratore ufficiale di Karl Lagerfeld. Jean-Christophe Leblanc si immerge poi nel mondo della moda dove il suo talento brilla davvero. Sfilate, presentazioni, eventi, film..., nulla sfugge al suo occhio acuto nel coltivare la bellezza e la sorpresa. Un occhio che dovrebbe ispirare i membri della giuria del SILMO d’OR, tanto più che Jean-Christophe Leblanc ha già incrociato la sua strada con l’industria ottica, nel 2017 è stato responsabile dell’allestimento del 50° anniversario della fiera al Grand Palais, un evento grandioso che ha lasciato un’impronta indelebile.

After studying medicine, which provides him with a solid background in physics and chemistry, he joins ATEP, a Parisian college for art and visual communication, and discovers the installation of volume in space, design, scenography, sculpture, the art of decor, etc.

Newly graduated, he is awarded the David Weil prize for artwork from the Academy of Arts, makes an animated film in stop-motion, becomes a teacher and meets Alain Duverne, the creator of the Guignols de l’Info, who invites him to join his team. A first encounter followed by others (Alain Chabat, Luc Besson...) who open the doors to the film industry where he creates different universes and designs sets.

At the same time, his sense of staging seduces Stefan Lubrina, Karl Lagerfeld’s official decorator. Jean-Christophe Leblanc then plunges into the world of fashion where his talent really shines through. Fashion shows, showcases, events, films..., nothing escapes his keen eye for cultivating beauty and surprise. An eye that should inspire SILMO d’OR jury members, all the more so as Jean-Christophe Leblanc has already crossed paths with the optical industry, in 2017 he was responsible for staging the fair’s 50th anniversary at the Grand Palais, a grandiose event that made a lasting impression.

IOFT 2021 Il mondo dell’Eyewear si riunirà in Giappone The world of Eyewear will meet in Japan RX Japan Ltd. (ex Reed Exhibitions Japan Ltd.) e Fukui Optical Association, organizzatori della principale fiera dell’ottica in Asia, IOFT International Optical Fair Tokyo, si aspettano molto fermento per la 34esima edizione della fiera dal 18 al 20 ottobre 2021 presso Tokyo Big Sight.

Grazie al successo di IOFT 2020, che è stata una delle poche fiere ottiche internazionali tenute nel 2020 durante la pandemia, IOFT 2021 raccoglie sempre più aspettative come la principale fiera ottica in Asia. Si prevede che gli spazi espositivi saranno popolati da 300 espositori e circa 11.000 visitatori.

Gli espositori saranno suddivisi nel padiglione espositivo in base alla categoria in cui vogliono promuovere i loro prodotti: • Fukui Zone: Prodotti “Made in Japan” soprattutto da Fukui. La prefettura di Fukui è la principale area di produzione di occhiali in Giappone.

• “tide” - The IOFT International Designers: L’area dedicate ai designer Internazionali di occhiali.

• General Zone: Gli accessori per occhiali, strumenti e sistemi per il laboratorio ottico, lenti e montature.

• Luxury Zone: I visitatori vi troveranno le collezioni di occhiali del segmento “Lusso”, compresi modelli in platino, oro e pietre preziose.

IOFT verrà inaugurato con una Cerimonia di apertura il 18 ottobre nel VIP Lounge del padiglione espositivo. Alcune decine di importanti buyer, operatori del settore al dettaglio, distributori e membri delle associazioni di categoria parteciperanno per dimostrare il loro sostegno al salone.

24° Japan Eyewear Award – JEA: L’evento si svolge ogni anno all’interno di IOFT. Seleziona e premia i migliori occhiali di nuovo design che saranno presentati in autunno e inverno. Si compone di 5 categorie: Occhiali da Uomo, Occhiali da Donna, Occhiali da Bambino, Occhiali da Sole, Funzioni e Tecnologie, e per ogni categoria verranno annunciati tre prodotti vincitori e un prodotto Grand Prix.

Due to the success of IOFT 2020, which was one of the few international optical fairs held in 2020 during the pandemic, IOFT 2021 is gathering more and more expectations as the leading optical fair in Asia. IOFT will be inaugurated with an Opening Ceremony on 18. Several dozens of prominent buyers, retailers, distributors and members of trade associations will attend to show their support for the show.

24th Japan Eyewear Award - JEA: The event takes place every year within IOFT. It selects and rewards the best new eyewear designs to be presented in autumn and winter. It consists of 5 categories: Men’s Eyewear, Women’s Eyewear, Children’s Eyewear, Sunglasses, Functions and Technologies, and three winning products and one Grand Prix product will be announced for each category.

MECSPE torna in scena a Bolognafiere is back on the scene at Bolognafiere La diciannovesima edizione della fiera, riprogrammata in autunno, si terrà per la prima volta nel nuovo polo fieristico bolognese MECSPE, la principale manifestazione in Italia sulle tecnologie innovative per le imprese del manifatturiero 4.0, dopo l’annuncio della riprogrammazione in autunno, tornerà in scena a BolognaFiere, dal 23 al 25 novembre 2021. Un’edizione promossa da Senaf all’insegna delle parole chiave “digitalizzazione, formazione e sostenibilità”, filo conduttore delle soluzioni in mostra, che aziende e visitatori potranno scoprire in presenza grazie ad una panoramica a 360 gradi di materiali, prodotti innovativi e tecnologie per ogni settore.
