However you say it, and no matter how you celebrate it, the gesture of gift giving at this time of year is universal and is seen as an essential. Can you imagine a Christmas tree with no gifts under it?
It is often said that Christmas is the season of giving, and that is certainly true for this generous community. Where did it all begin? It all began with the greatest gift of God The Christ Child.
From the gifts of the Magi to the generosity of St. Nicholas, we, too, are inspired to give and to give generously. We travel from the gift of our very selves to one another to the gift of faith to the gift of our time and treasure to reach the gift of our presence here tonight. As is always true, the best response when one receives a gift is thank you!

These are all words that we associate with the beautiful season of Christmas and our experience planning this year’s auction: Christmas In The Castle.
Our unique and beautiful main building, recently acknowledged in the March 2018 Architectural Digest as “The Most Beautiful Private High School in Missouri”, lends itself perfectly to this heartfelt theme. We hope that you experience the beauty, magic, and warmth of Christmas with us tonight at the auction.
At Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School, we are grateful for all our families do to make our School the best place for learning and the development of our future leaders! We hold ourselves to the highest values and want to make VDOH a special experience like no other. This is why we accepted the roles of Auction Chairs: to be a part of the Sacred Heart mission that helps achieve that goal!

STEM at Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School
We are proud to be on the cutting edge of STEM education, forging the path long before the acronym became popular. Our students have been recognized for the creation of prosthetic hands using our 3D printers and for award-winning computer programming solutions. Science, technology, engineering, and math are alive and well at Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School.
The students now ask you to make their Christmas wish come true by investing in their STEM education through Children’s Challenge 2018!
In 2016, Oak Hill opened the Makerspace: a classroom designed for students to invent, build, and test their designs. Children’s Challenge 2018 will fund new equipment and supplies so that the space continues to offer the latest in technology and machinery. Oak Hill students are eager and excited for their time in the makerspace, and this new equipment will take their experiential learning to the next level.
Villa Duchesne students look to build on the strong foundation offered at Oak Hill. Our alumni have achieved great success in the sciences in recent decades. Today’s students could do even more with a 21st-century facility created specifically for STEM
Through the redesign of current office and storage spaces, a state-of-the-art Innovation Lab will be at the heart of the Katherine Danis Science Center. The lab is both a working space and classroom where students utilize the design-thinking process to discover solutions to real-world problems. Laser cutters, 3D printers, touch-screen monitors, power tools, computers, mobile work stations, robotics equipment, computer software, modular furniture, and collaboration boards will all create a place that expands our curricular and extra-curricular offerings.
We foster in students from our junior kindergartners to our seniors a spirit of adventure when it comes to STEM exploration. We need your support to keep that spirit alive as students explore new careers in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math. We ask you to raise your paddles and join us in unlocking the potential of STEM at Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School.

102 IS IT BOCH-EE OR IS IT BAWT-CHEE?
Whether you have a competitive spirit or would prefer to watch from the sidelines, this Bocce party at Bellerive Country Club will be fun for all. First, you and your eleven guests will enjoy playing (and learning, if needed, as there will be an official to help) the game of Bocce. The current form of the game was developed in Italy and can be played with two, three or four players. During the game, you'll enjoy drinks and appetizers, perfect for those who would rather watch. Afterward, there will be dinner on the Terrace or in a private room in the Club. You and your guests will be able to argue over the close shots or laugh over misses. No matter which, good food and fun company ensure an entertaining evening for all!

Set near the Breckenridge Ski Resort's Snowflake Lift, the BlueSky Breckenridge skiin/ski-out condo resort is 1.5 miles from Breckenridge Fun Park and 5 miles from Breckenridge Golf Club. With contemporary mountain decor, you will spend the week in an individually furnished 2-bedroom, 1130 square foot condo with partial views of the mountain and forest. The master bedroom offers a king size bed and a bathroom with L'Occitane toiletries. A second bedroom offers two twin beds and a second bathroom. There is also a queen-size sofa in the living room. Condos have full kitchens, private balconies or patios, and living areas with gas fireplaces. Amenities include a ski rental shop, spa, heated outdoor pool and hot tubs, plus a fitness center, a game room and a lounge bar.
