Focusing only on week 22 of 52, 2019, price per square foot values are off in all 5 areas (we focus on) that make up the Eastside. Compared to the same time last year, as a whole, the average Year-over-Year difference is down -11%. Seattle on the other hand, 3 out of the 4 metro areas showed positive gains in price per square foot. The average Year-over-Year difference for week 22 of 52 for 2019 was +19% in Seattle. One can't necessarily base the health of a market on a week's worth of data, but as you can see from this week's report, as we approach the halfway mark for the year, the Eastside's market has struggled a little bit more to keep pace with last years numbers.
