Business Foundation

All students apply directly into the VCU School of Business and enter into our Business Foundation Program shared by all business majors (except Financial Technology). This provides students with a holistic view of different areas within business and gives students plenty of time to decide on their specific business major!

Academic Advising

Each student is assigned an individual academic advisor based on their major. Advisors help with class progress and selection, locating academic and personal resources, exploring real-world opportunities, graduation plans and so much more. All appointments are one-on-one to meet the needs of each individual student.

Office of Student Engagement

OSE offers business students opportunities to develop leadership and mentorship skills. Students can participate in a variety of social and networking events designed to help them connect with classmates and integrate into the community. With 20 business-specific student organizations and clubs, students can meet peers, build their professional network and more. Students can also apply for professional development funding to attend conferences, competitions, workshops and other events to further their career development.

VCU Financial Success Center by Virginia Credit Union

The VCU Financial Success Center by Virginia Credit Union is dedicated to helping the VCU community achieve financial success. Students can access personal and professional financial education, including counseling about budgeting, saving, credit, student loan repayment and more. The overarching goal is to help students reduce debt, build savings, and increase financial confidence. The Financial Success Center is proudly sponsored in partnership with Virginia Credit Union.

Current Business Student Scholarships

We are able to award thousands of scholarship dollars to current undergraduate business students each year thanks to the generosity of our strong partnerships with alumni, individuals and companies. The application opens in February, and awards are issued for the following academic year.
