KINDERMUSIK - FOUNDATIONS

Age Newborn - 15 Months (w/ Adult) • 11:45A - 12:30P LOCATION: ELMWOOD COMMUNITY CENTER

In this class, parents and their newborns, infants, and crawlers (no walkers) engage in instrument play, dance, exploration time, and together time. Parents strengthen important early parentchild bonds and learn about their babies’ early development. Class is limited to 11 students. Class price includes materials to take home. KINDERMUSIK - LEVEL 1

Age 12 months – 2 ½ with Adult LOCATION: ELMWOOD COMMUNITY CENTER

Level 1 is an energetic celebration of the very young child’s new movement and language skills. A mix of parent-child joint activities and child focused activities are provided. This class is for older babies and young toddlers who are just beginning to or already walking, talking, singing, clapping, etc. – all on their own! Class is limited to 10 students. BUSY BEES FOR 2’S & 3’S

Drop-off your little tyke for learning and fun! Each week features a new theme that’s explored through crafts, singing, stories, play and so much more! In this interactive and educational environment, your child will have exposure to a classroom setting while gaining social skills and independence. SOCCER SHOTS MINI AGE 2

Soccer Shots is excited to offer their “mini” program for 2 year olds in West Hartford. This program is professionally designed to be developmentally appropriate and is led by enthusiastic coaches. The sessions are 30 minutes in length and will introduce your child to the basics of soccer in a social setting. Physical skills, motor development and fun are guaranteed in this program. SOCCER SHOTS CLASSIC

Soccer Shots sessions are professionally designed and led by Director Shannon Perry, certified youth coach and former professional player. Each 45 minute session creatively introduces your child to the sport of soccer. Character development, physical skills and fun are guaranteed in this exciting program. Each session incorporates the following: basic soccer skills, exclusive Soccer Shots games, word of the day, use of imagination, coordination, balance and agility development. FUTSAL

Age 3 - 5 • 5:30 – 6:20P LOCATION: ELMWOOD COMMUNITY CENTER

Interested in getting your little ones involved in soccer/Futsal skills? Come join us at the ECC for the perfect spring recreational skills program. Futsal (Soccer in a room) aims to increase the player’s personal skills to the next level. It allows players to touch the ball up to 600% more than the traditional soccer thereby increasing the player’s decision-making skills and comfort with the ball. The Futsal ball is smaller and heavier, which allows the player to easily command the ball and gain increased confidence that seamlessly transitions to a soccer game. Participants should wear active clothing, sneakers, shin guards, and bring a water bottle. Participants are asked to bring their own Futsal ball or balls will be available for purchase for $20 on the 1st day of class. Instructor: Futsal & Street Soccer. No class: 5/31

TENNIS PRESCHOOL JUNIOR CLINICS

Age 4 - 6 LOCATION: FERNRIDGE PARK

FPTA instructors will be on site at all clinics and programs. Tennis instructors will utilize USTA QuickStart Program curriculum and equipment. Players should bring their own tennis racquet. Plant-a-Row for the Hungry

Volunteers Needed to Make Our Gardens Grow

Please consider joining us at Westmoor Park for fun, friendship and community service. Our harvests are donated to a local soup kitchen and help feed area residents. Many helping hands are needed from May thru September to make this program bountiful. There is no gardening experience required, and if you can’t join us this spring, please mark your calendar for this fall.
