Sunday, 8am. VG and its surroundings are quiet after a long night (and morning) of gasque and släpp. Three officers start to arrive at VG, half asleep, a bit grumpy, but also excited to start the day (if they manage to open the house). In fact, for many semesters now, three brunch hosts have been arriving at VG at 8am, a tradition that the sweets-loving officers are happy to defend to anyone pointing out the insane hour at the end of a long week.

The house is now open and the ovens start to burn, kanelbullar start to rise and chocolate balls are rolled. At 9am some VG workers start to arrive and ABBA music is turned on for maximum productivity. The house starts to smell like coffee and breakfast. The last 10 minutes before opening are a bit stressful, but everyone is happy when the first orders start to come in.

Brunch officers have come and gone, some still work even after their own semester, others come to enjoy the new menu that the new batch of officers have created themselves. Families enter VG, kids run around some half-asleep students happy to receive the cup of coffee that they craved. Workers run around to deliver the orders to the tables, while the dishwasher runs throughout the day. In the rare quiet moments during their shift, the officers and workers quickly eat something, running on coffee and good music. Slowly but surely it is nearly 2pm, time to do the dagsavslut, run a couple more rounds in the dishing room, and, most importantly, divide the leftovers between all the workers and officers, as well as the occasional active VG member that comes to plunder the kitchen. Around 4 or 5pm it is quiet in the VG kitchen, brunch has been successful once more.
