SECTION 5: REAL-WORLD SCENARIOS & LESSONS LEARNED Scenario 1: Sergeant Ramirez — The Unprepared Interview Sergeant Ramirez spent nine years serving as a squad leader responsible for training and supervising personnel. After transitioning from the military, he secured an interview for an operations supervisor position with a logistics company.

During the interview, Ramirez was asked to describe examples of leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making under pressure. Although he had extensive experience in all of these areas, he struggled to clearly explain his accomplishments in language the interview panel understood.
