Slaps All Over The Place As We Witness One Of The Greatest Roads To WrestleMania Ever.

WrestleMania XL is upon us, and it is the biggest WrestleMania of all time.

The center of this WrestleMania is how for the first time, both champions will be on the card twice, and both times will be career defining battles as Seth Rollins has Drew McIntyre keeping an eye on him, reminding him every chance gets that he is coming for his Heavyweight championship

We can easily say that Seth is preoccupied with the battle that he is part of with the Bloodline as he is set to team up with Cody Rhodes on Night One of WrestleMania to take the mega team of Roman Reigns and The Rock to determine who will hold the power on Night two of the showcase of immortals.

Now one of the interesting things about this mega battle is, if Seth battles Drew before the tag team match, how fit will he be going into that battle. And how fit will Roman and Cody be going into night two of the show Not forgetting the the underlying feeling that something big might go down between Roman and Rock now that The Rock is asserting his authority each week he comes out to the ring.

With night one set to give a battle of biblical proportion, we must not forget that Cody is coming into night two to finish his story, while Roman wants to end Cody's story for good and remain at the head of the table as the Tribal Chief This battle has many implications about the future of wrestling going forward with questions about what will be the future of the Bloodline if Roman loses to Cody, and where does Cody's story go if he cannot finish it against Roman at WrestleMania XL

Cape Town Tigers Struggle In The BAL, While Dynamo BBC Forfeits Game 2, and Petro De Luanda Puts In Strong Win.

The BAL (Basketball Africa League) is definitely in full swing and enjoying great support from South African Basketball lovers at the Sunbet Arena in Pretoria

With the first four games, actually three games when we are being technical, done and dusted, it is safe to say the Kalahari Conference is off to a powerful start

At a sold out Sunbet Arena on Saturday, 9 March 2024; the conference kicked off with Fus De Rabat taking on Petro De Luanda in a game that saw Fus De Rabat come out as the more prepared team Not that Petro De Luanda played a bad game, it is just Fus De Rabat came on more attacking and aggressive from the first buzzer, and that allowed them to asset their dominance over Petro.

The second game of the day was between the local boys, Cape Town Tigers and Dynamo BBC. We could argue that it was first game jitters or maybe the home crowd expressed too much expectations, but on the day, Dynamo BBC dominated the Cape Town Tigers in a way that was extremely painful to locals, even though Samkelo Cele tried to work his magic, it wasn't enough to rescue the drowning local side.

Coming into day 2, people had hope that the Tigers would revive their hopes to head to the finals in Rwanda, but the day started with some drama that no one really expected Having been asked a question about why they blocked out the Visit Rwanda logo, the Dymano captain simply said " we are here to play basketball"

This decision to block out the Visit Rwanda logo by the Burundian side came back to bite them as they had to forfeit their Game 2 as their jersey did not align with the rules of the BAL What this did was give Fus De Rabat the points from the game, and more importantly, an extra day of rest which may come in as an advantage against the other teams they are playing

The Tigers came to Sunday's game with the hope to get in their first win Petro De Luanda was also looking to come into the winners circle, and did they not make a statement against the Tigers On Sunday we saw a somewhat dejected and uninspired Cape Town Tigers, even though they had short spells of trying to build a come back, but falling short every time Petro De Luanda exposed a week defense by the Tigers and punished them repeatedly.

This second loss by the Tigers is leaving them in a very tight corner as they have to win all their remaining four games to stand any chance of going to Rwanda.

A huge congratulations to the BAL, NBA and NBA Africa for putting together such a great showcase of talent, and a week of more high paced basketball still to come.

RED BULL RACING STAYS ON TOP.

The Saudi Arabia race weekend ended with Red Bull Racing and Max Verstappen on top again

In a dramatic race weekend in Saudi Arabia where Carlo Sainz was part of the team on Thursday, only to be replaced by the debutante "Bearman" in the Ferrari team and made an impressive debut Bearman took on the driver's seat and ended the weekend in the points section for Ferrari, and by many standards this was a successful debut for him

Lewis Hamilton continued to struggle with the Mercedes Benz It has been no secret that he has not been happy with the Mercedes Benz team for a long time now, but is this making him lose interest in the sport for now or are the issues at Mercedes Benz that bad to a point where one of the greatest drivers of all time can't even revive them.

We continued to see a strong showing by Red Bull Racing as Perez finished second as he out drove LeClerc during crucial moments of the race, even though he almost crashed into Alonso on the pit lane. While Perez was battling LeClerc, Verstappen was asserting his dominance as he led the race for a long time and won his second race of the season

With two races in the season, and Verstappen already looking like he will be unstoppable, you can only wonder if there will be any driver who can step up and challenge the champion, or maybe Bearman might just be the answer the Ferrari needed for Verstappen, also not forgotten that with Hamilton coming to Ferrari next season, you cannot stop but wonder where will that put Bearman if he continues to feature this season and actually performs well

NATION MAKE THE DERBY GREAT AGAIN.

For the last few years, the Soweto Derby did not have the same hype that we all grew up with, and as much as it still drew excitement, but people were beginning to question its validity... And all the players collectively said "hold my energy drink"

On Saturday, 9 March 2024; South Africa witnessed the derby of dreams, the derby that everyone has been thirsty for. We saw a high scoring derby, and those were not just goals, those were statement making goals.

Kaizer Chiefs took an unexpected early lead and sent shockwaves around South Africa, but that lead did not last long as Orlando Pirates equalized and the supporters were back to life This intense and exciting battle saw Kaizer Chiefs take the lead again just before half time, only for Orlando Pirates to came back with two killer goals to take all three points

Even though Kaizer Chiefs lost this match, many football lovers command them for the performance they put up on Saturday People felt the life coming back to the Soweto Derby again

This was one of those games that made you want to watch local football again, that kind of match that makes you say now we see why Bafana Bafana reached the Semi-finals of the African Cup Of Nations with predominantly local based players

This game left us with hope that local football indeed can be great again.
