If you are moving into 423 Centre Street as the new owner, you have probably been selected in some mysterious way by Mary Norsworthy Shepard, who selected this lot and built this house on it. We feel that way, having noted her influence before we ever took note of her name on the historical deed. We hope that your stay here will be as comfortable for you has it has been for us, and more than that, that living here will fire your imagination, as it has ours. We have lived here for fifteen years and thrown some memorable parties. We enjoy the connection with history that comes from living in a bona fide historical home, but we also enjoyed the vibrant and very current MAPSO community and all it has to offer. The schools (“the system�) was great for each of our kids even though they all had different interests. It is time for us to move on out of this big place, but believe me, it is a bittersweet feeling to leave.
