DEAR FUTURE HOMEOWNER,

Welcome home! We empathize and can relate to the mix of excitement and stress that comes with moving into a new home and we remember our own first days here with such fondness. Our hope is that this home brings you as much joy, comfort, and love as it has brought us.

When we made the decision to purchase 2 Hemlock, we were against the clock to find a home fast At that time, we had no idea just how special this home and neighborhood would become to us Looking back, we couldn’t have made a better choice. This community welcomed us with open arms, and we were instantly made to feel at home.

You are joining an incredible neighborhood truly the best neighbors around! The sound of kids playing in the cul-de-sac, riding bikes, and shooting hoops is something we will always treasure Fall brings an epic block party, and on Halloween, neighbors gather around fire pits to welcome trick-or-treaters There is such a strong sense of community here

2 Hemlock is perfectly designed for both everyday living and entertaining. The kitchen quickly became the heart of our home where meals were prepared, homework was supervised, and conversations flowed while keeping an eye on kids in the family room The large rooms made hosting holidays and gatherings a joy, and we created countless memories here, including a 90th birthday party and other very special occasions

Some of our very best moments were spent outdoors. The backyard and patio hosted cornhole tournaments, wiffle ball games, and spontaneous neighborhood gatherings everyone always welcome. More recently, we added a “Tiki Hut,” which is a favorite spot for friends and neighbors to stop by, watch a game, enjoy a fire, and share a glass of wine Dining outside and relaxing here brought us so much peace

When the weather doesn't cooperate, the basement is our go-to space for fun and flexibility. Over the years, it transformed with our family’s needs from a hangout room filled with TV, video games, and endless rounds of Just Dance and Wii Bowling (legendary!), to a workout space where our daughter spent hours building her athletic skills

One of our very favorite aspects of 2 Hemlock is the primary bedroom and bath The size, privacy, and comfort made it a perfect retreat whether for quiet solitude or cozy moments with the kids Coming from a much smaller bedroom, this space felt like a luxury we appreciated every day.

An unforgettable memory was our first big snowstorm here. While we shoveled, the kids were sledding down the front yard hill, great practice for future adventures at Bolden School and Floods Hill If you enjoy a thrill, sledding at Floods Hill is a must!

The walkability to town has been a true gift. Being able to stroll to the train, grab dinner, or enjoy local favorites made life here so convenient and enjoyable. Village Trattoria, St. James Gate (a must!), Able Baker, and Village Coffee quickly became staples for us and although it’s a short drive, Park Wood Diner is absolutely worth it

We hope you love this home as much as we did and as much as the families before us did, too Just this past year, a couple who owned the house in the 1980s stopped by and shared their own beautiful memories of raising their family here. This home truly carries a legacy of love.

New railing added to the primary suite balcony

New exterior fence installed in the backyard

2026:

Freshly painted interiors throughout the home

Hardwood floors refinished throughout first floor

Refreshed kitchen with freshly painted cabinetry, new backsplash, updated cabinet hardware, and new light fixtures

New light fixtures and recessed lighting installed throughout the home

FAVORITE FEATURES

Every room is generously sized, making everyday living and entertaining effortless and comfortable.

The kitchen is exceptionally well designed and functions beautifully for both daily life and gatherings

The patio is a favorite spot for relaxed dinners and game nights, and it’s perfect for entertaining

The primary bedroom suite is a true retreat no shared walls with other bedrooms, offering wonderful privacy while still feeling connected to the rest of the home

The finished lower level became the natural hangout when the kids were younger, their friends headed straight downstairs to be together

The cul-de-sac and neighborhood create an incredible sense of community, with kids playing outside and walking to Bolden Park.

When the children were little, the front hill was just right for “practice sledding” before graduating to the bigger hills simple, joyful memories made at home.
