DEAR FUTURE HOMEOWNER We have a very clear memory of being where you are right now. Months pouring over Zillow, traveling from our NYC apartment for weekend searches, and hauling our 5 and 2 year old in and around the houses of Maplewood, South Orange, and Montclair. There was a distinct feeling we had when we pulled up to this house. Everything just clicked. We felt at home here.

That feeling has continued to magnify over the last ten years. There is a great sense of community here on Ball Terrace. Our neighbors have become wonderful friends, looking out for one another, and sharing great food and drink. Starting the day with breakfast on the front porch in the early morning sunlight and ending with s’mores on the back patio while the kids run around the yard chasing fireflies, has brought us such joy. From backyard BBQs, pillow forts in the basement, countless sleepovers in the attic, and Thanksgiving dinner for over a dozen family and friends. It’s amazing how many memories fit in this cozy house. Beyond the front door, we’ve logged many hours at Borden Park, cooling off at the Town pool, and enjoying walks around the neighborhood. And if you are foodies like us, we highly recommend the wood fired pizza at Arturo’s in Maplewood, wings at Tito’s Burritos in South Orange, banana bread at Able Baker, and the best breakfast bagel sandwiches this side of Jersey at Bagel Chateau.

We’ve taken great pride in caring for this house and adding improvements along the way. Our plan was to stay in this house and raise our two girls here, but life had other plans for us. We hope you can find as much joy living here in this home and neighborhood as we have.
