hello!

I’m Vanessa Cruz, a Brazilian Architecture and Urban Planning undergraduated student from UNESP Prudente.

I’ve received a scholarship to be part of an exchange program in Australia through a Brazilian Government Program called Science without Borders, from 2015 2017, I’ve written my final thesis about Dèco Sertanejo Architecture in 2018, I did an Architectural and Interior Design internship at Sakan Designs, in Egypt through AIESEC, from Jan Apr 2019, Through this internship, I’ve developed myself a lot, personally and culturally.

On this portfolio, I present all the projects that I’ve done during the internship.

The client aimed to develop a mixed use building, with the following uses: Basement - storage and parking, Ground floor - commercial, 1st and 2nd - offices and Up to 7th floor - residential.

On this project, I’ve been proposed to develop the residential floors. Having one bathroom and minimum of two bedrooms per apartment.

I’ve designed three apartments with one bathroom and three bedrooms each.

The use of forced ventilation is very common, considering that there is no space among the buildings.

This project was designed for hotel that wanted an antique/eccentric look due to their public.

Therefore, all the pieces in the bedroom aimed to achieve that goal.

The project was located in the city of Ras El Bar, Dumyatt, Egypt for a hotel chain.

Aiming to create a hotel suite with a modern atmosphere, the design was minimalist and clean.

The bright colors were used in both, bedroom and bathroom.

The office was requested to enhance the suroundings of a side road building, developing a bus station cafè.

The design had four main areas.

Those were divided in bus station, entrance with parking lot, cafè with tables and external area with playground and seating space.

Being a very arid region, a font was located in the middle aiming to create a more humid air.
