2018 EMPLOYMENT REPORT

Friends and Associates, I am excited to present the Master of Science in Finance Employment Report for the Class of 2018. The results from the Class of 2018 are a continuation of the strong employment outcomes for the program, with 93% of recent graduates reporting accepting an offer with an average base salary of $71,530. The graduating class accepted positions across a variety of career paths. Investment banking was very strong this year with 42% of the graduates accepting positions. However, graduates also accepted positions across other job functions including financial consulting, investment research, business analytics, real estate, corporate finance and private equity. The MSF Career Management Team is committed to delivering programming and support on a personal scale to help students realize their career aspirations. The team begins interacting with the incoming class even before they set foot on campus through our virtual career preparation program. This gives the incoming MSF student a competitive advantage in the fall recruiting market. We could not continue to achieve the employment outcomes without the support of the fantastic Vanderbilt Alumni, most especially the MSF alums. They are a loyal and accessible network that supports and guides the current students as well as provides recruiting contacts and relationships. We are extremely proud of our 2018 MSF graduates and are looking forward to 2019! Sincerely,

Emily Anderson Director, Career Management Center Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management
