OCTOBER RECAP

KAYAK TRIP

Although not in October, our kayak tour through Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge on September 28 was a perfect escape into nature! Everyone had a blast paddling along the peaceful trails, spotting wildlife, and soaking up the beautiful scenery. It was the ideal day for adventure, fresh air, and some great company on the water!

JACK O’ LANTERN PAINTING

Our October Jack O’ Lantern Painting Class was a fantastic evening of creativity! With a step-by-step guide, participants brought spooky Halloween scenes to life on their canvases, each one unique and colorful. Pictured on the left are three proud participants showing off their festive creations. Can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with in our next class!

FALL -O- WEEN

Our first-ever Fall-O-Ween was a huge success, with an amazing turnout and so much festive fun! From the chili cook-off to pumpkin painting and the costume contest, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Thanks to everyone who came out and made it a night to remember! THANKSGIVING CENTERPIECE

Get your home holiday-ready! Join us on November 7 at 1800 for a fun and creative class where you’ll learn to turn faux flowers into beautiful centerpieces and get tips on simple tablescapes. TIPSY ARTIST PAINT CLASS

CAMPOUT

Ready for an outdoor adventure? Active duty members and their families are invited to spend two nights camping at Quartz Mountain State Park from November 8-10. Enjoy hiking trails, campfires, and fully provided camping gear, meals, and transportation! The cost is $70 per person. To register, call Outdoor Recreation at 580-213-7348.

Get your creative juices flowing at our R4R Tipsy Artist Paint Class! Join us on November 8 at 5 PM at the Crosswinds Club, where you’ll choose from two beautiful paintings to bring to life. DRY TRI TRIATHLON

Challenge yourself with the Vance AFB Dry Tri! From November 8-15, test your endurance by completing a 750m row, 20k bike ride, and 5k run at your own pace. You’ve got a week to finish, with 1-5 minute transitions between each event. Submit your total time by November 16, and every participant will score a T-shirt! Top 3 men and women will get special recognition. Ready to compete? Fill out your entry form and email it to jennifer.bolz.ctr@us.af.mil.

Don’t miss our Monthly Trivia Night at the Crosswinds Club, hosted by the Community Center, on November 13 at 6:00 PM. Doors open at 5:00 PM.
