Her Life

Her Purpose

Her Legacy

Lillie Diane Eggleston was born on July 14, 1957, to the late Nancy (Thomas) Turner and Sonny Stinson in Tallahatchie County. She accepted Christ at an early age at Persimmon Hill Church in Oakland, Mississippi.

Diane impacted everyone she met and was a natural-born comedian. When she entered the room, laughter was not far behind. She received her formal education and graduated from the South Panola School District, Batesville, MS where she was a member of the ROTC. In her early years, she had a hand in raising countless children within and outside of her family. This continued throughout her entire life.

On Diane's last day on Earth, she was taking care of many family members and friends. She was a true diva who loved makeup, fashion, perfume, photography, and everything fabulous. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, and spoiling her loved ones in any way she could. Diane came from a large family but made many amazing friends throughout her journey. She will truly be missed, from her jokes to her cooking to her genuine spirit. As we remember her, let's think about the wonderful woman who made so many people smile and showed us how to make the most of life. Her laughter might be gone, but the happiness she gave us will stay in our hearts forever. She is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, David Turner, Clarence Turner, John Turner, and Margaret Johnson.

Diane's beautiful memories will be forever cherished by her loving family; her daughters, Christy (Michael) Neal, Sketena White, Remekia (Thevenot)Gourdet; her son, Joe Tucker, her sisters, Pennie Williams, Mary (Tillman)Turner Brooks, Betty (Eugene) Love, and Annette Pope; her brothers, Bobbie Joe (Rosie) Eggleston, Kenneth Ray Turner, Sherman (Mashunda) Turner and Tommie Lee Turner; James( Kimberly) Bradford, and Jerry (Rita) Stinson; grandchildren, Jalon Eggleston, Emius Eggleston, Khadijah Abdullah, Rodarius Hendrickson, Alaysia Neal, Travis Neal, Bryce White ,and Seven Gourdet; three great- grandchildren,; a host nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

RECESSIONAL

Funeral Director in Charge

Don’t grieve for me for now I’m free, I’m following the path God laid for me.

I took his hand when I heard him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I’ve found that peace at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I’ve savored much, Good friends, good times, my loved one’s touch If my time seemed all too brief, Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart, rejoice with me, God wanted me now, He set me free.

ToOurDearestGranny

In the tender embrace of your love, we found a haven like no other. Your home-cooked meals were not just dishes, but recipes of warmth and care that filled our hearts. Your jokes and laughter were the soundtrack of our fondest memories, weaving threads of joy into the tapestry of our lives. In the comforting haven of your home, we discovered the true meaning of family, acceptance, and belonging. Every action you took was with love and thoughtfulness, as if you had a special way of understanding our hearts' desires. Your words held a magical power, offering guidance, wisdom, and solace in times of need. As your grandchildren, we are forever grateful for the countless moments when you made each of us feel like the most cherished person in the world. Your legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in our hearts, a beacon of inspiration guiding us through life's journey. With profound love and eternal gratitude,

OurSister

Rest in Peace Big Sis There is no one that can ever take your place. God allowed you to give us everything that we needed, then HE decided it was time for your reward. Your impact on our family, your bigger than life personality, your unmerited sense of humor, your extra big heart for helping others, your amazing cooking skills, your deep love for family, that big winning smile and your sassy beautiful style will always be remembered. Now take your rest Sissy! Job Well Done! Forever in our hearts.

AMother’sLove

A mother’s Love knows no boundaries. Our mother was a giving, nurturing, and would feed anyone. A bond between a mother and her children makes imagining this world without you unfathomable But as many sadly know too well, when your Mom leaves this earth, there is no soothing this heartache. We know you would tell us to dry our eyes and carry on. Mom, we are not sure how to go one currently, but your love will carry us through

With Sincere Gratitude

To every voice that whispered they care; to every mind that thought of us in prayer. To every arm that embraced us and every heart that has shown us love, we say thank you.

The family acknowledges every act of kindness extended during this time of sorrow. We have been abundantly blessed by so many friends and loved ones showering us with words of comfort and encouragement. Words can never express our sincere gratitude and appreciation. It is our prayer that God continues to bestow his bountiful blessings upon you and keep you forever in his care.
