WILL ROGERS DAYS Celebrating Oklahoma’s Favorite Son with Movies, Parades, and More! BY AARIKA COPELAND

et ready, Claremore! The town is buzzing as they gear up to celebrate the 145th birthday of the one and only Will Rogers—actor, humorist, and the heart and soul of Oklahoma. From October 30 to November 2, Will Rogers Days is back, offering four jam-packed days of movies, parades, and allaround fun to honor this legendary figure. Starting off the festivities is the Will Rogers Motion Picture Festival, running from October 30 to November 1 at the Will Rogers Memorial Theater. This festival is the perfect tribute to Will Rogers’ Hollywood stardom, featuring films submitted from all over the world. Over 40 films are in the lineup, showcasing everything from heartwarming shorts to epic features. It’s a can’tmiss event for movie buffs and those just wanting to immerse themselves in a bit of cinematic magic. Fast forward to November 2, and the excitement really ramps up with the Will Rogers Days Parade, starting at 3 p.m. and broadcast on RSU TV. The parade’s theme this year is “Will Rogers for President”, a nod to Rogers’ famous satirical run for the presidency. “Will Rogers had a satirical run for president, and we wanted to use that as an opportunity to bring attention to the political attitudes of this country,” explained Bryan Beard, the Education Coordinator. And it’s not just about the laughs—this year’s parade aims to bring people together, regardless of political affiliation. Both Democratic and Republican candidates are invited to join in the fun, making the parade an opportunity to showcase unity and harmony in a world where, let’s be honest, we could use a bit more of that! Anybody who wants to join the parade can easily sign up by submitting a form at willrogers.com. So, grab your family,

friends, and maybe a patriotic sign or two—it’s going to be a day to remember! But the party doesn’t stop with the parade. Immediately after, head over to the Will Rogers Memorial for the Birthday Bash, a free event packed with fun for the whole family. Expect cake, a Jupiter jump for the kiddos, and an exciting giveaway. Plus, the festivities continue with the Dog Iron Awards Show, which will honor the best films from the Will Rogers Motion Picture Festival. Some of the top awards include Best Made in Oklahoma Featured Film and Best Made in Oklahoma Short. It’s a celebration of creativity and community that you won’t want to miss. So why is this celebration so important? Will Rogers was more than just a movie star or a comedian. As Bryan Beard so perfectly put it, “He was a political commentator whose values brought everybody together, and with a current America that is so politically divided, we can definitely use more of that.” This parade, which has been a Claremore tradition since the 1950s, once made national news. The values and beliefs that Will Rogers stood for—humor, humility, and unity—are as relevant today as they were in his time. And this year’s celebration serves as a reminder that sometimes, a little humor and heart can go a long way in bringing us all together. For more information about all the events, visit willrogers.com. Remember, all events are free to attend—so there’s really no excuse to miss out on this community-driven, fun-filled weekend!

The Benefits of Testosterone Replacement at NexLevel Labs in

BY AARIKA COPELAND

t NexLevel Labs, they believe everyone deserves to feel vibrant, healthy, and empowered in their daily lives. Their mission is to help the men and women of Tulsa achieve just that through expert hormone replacement therapy (HRT), focusing specially on testosterone optimization. Understanding that each individual’s hormonal needs are unique, NexLevel Labs offers personalized treatment plans designed to promote vitality, wellbeing, and longevity.

The Transformative Power of Balanced Hormones When people think about hormone therapy, they often focus on the physical benefits like increased libido or muscle mass. But, as Serena Munoz, their skilled nurse practitioner, explains, the advantages go far beyond the obvious. “Balancing hormones can bring mental clarity and focus to your work, release anger and tension from daily tasks, eliminate insomnia, and more,” she shared. “It’s a whole-body experience.” Imagine waking up each day feeling as energetic and motivated as you did in your 20s. For many, this might sound like a distant memory, but with testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), it’s possible to reclaim that youthful vitality. Serena herself has experienced this transformation firsthand. “Personally, using TRT has benefited me so much in my life. I’m back to feeling like I was in my 20s—less edgy, less worried. It brings you back to where you were in your prime.”

A Path to Mental and Emotional Wellness Balanced hormones contribute to resilience in all aspects of life—mentally, emotionally, and physically. When your hormones are in harmony, you’re better equipped to handle stress, make decisions, and maintain a positive outlook on life. This mental clarity and emotional stability can be just as transformative as the physical changes, helping you to thrive in both your personal and professional life. For many, TRT has been a game-changer. Serena recalled moments in her practice that underscore the profound impact of hormone therapy. “I’ve had women weep in my office because they feel like they’re finally being heard. I’ve had men tell me about the significant difference it has made in their lives, and they send their friends, their wives, their family members our way.” At NexLevel Labs, they’re proud to say, “We don’t get unsatisfied people.” An Accessible Path to Transformation Starting your journey with TRT at NexLevel Labs is both simple and affordable. For just $40 a week, you can begin your transformation, which includes an office visit and injection. Alternatively, you can choose to get your injection or cream from your preferred pharmacy for at-home use. If absorption isn’t an issue, creams can be just as effective as injections. They strive to make their services accessible and convenient by accepting most major insurances, minimal wait times, welcome walk-ins, and offer in-house lab work with results ready in just a

Patients can also receive well known IV-therapies, including NAD+drip and NAD+shot options, Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide; as well as B-12 shots. Value News Magazine & Values Inc. photo, September 2024.

Therapy Tulsa week. If you’re transferring from another clinic or have recent lab results, they can often start your treatment the same day. Their goal is to eliminate unnecessary steps, so you can start feeling better as quickly as possible. Personalized Care Tailored to You NexLevel Labs does not believe in a onesize-fits-all approach. “We start with the basics, we correct the imbalance,” Serena emphasized. “It’s about chasing symptoms, not numbers. 100% personalized care because people are unique.” Your treatment plan will be tailored to your specific needs, ensuring that you receive the right level of care for your body’s unique requirements. Hormonal Health for Everyone Testosterone isn’t just important for men—women also benefit from maintaining healthy levels of this vital hormone. For women, testosterone optimization can aid in a multitude of ways, from improving energy levels to enhancing mental clarity. And even if full TRT isn’t the right choice, they offer other hormone therapies like estrogen and progesterone, which can help with issues like insomnia, PMS symptoms, and poor sleep quality. Your Next Step to a Healthier Life Once you start TRT, one of the best lifestyle choices you can make is to incorporate moderate exercise into your routine. “Exercise amplifies the benefits of TRT, helping with everything from weight loss to combating depression,” she said, “and as your motivation and energy levels improve, you’ll find it easier to stay active and enjoy the rewards of a healthier, more fulfilling life.” At NexLevel Labs supports you every step of the way. TULSA’S

CORNERSTONE

BY AARIKA COPELAND

he Randalls didn’t just take over a business—they reignited a passion for safety and community when they purchased Cornerstone Chimneys in Tulsa. Firefighter founded, the importance of fire safety is rooted in their business, making Cornerstone Chimneys a trusted name in Tulsa and surrounding Green Country. “Fire is inherently dangerous,” Kathy Randall explained, “and our goal is to help people enjoy their fireplaces without compromising safety.” It’s not just about cleaning chimneys or repairing bricks—it’s about creating a safe and inviting environment for families to gather around and make memories. “The chimney industry has long been unregulated,” Kathy shared. The Randalls believe in educating their customers. “It’s an area most people aren’t familiar with, so we teach people why it’s important to have their chimney inspected, cleaned, and fixed when needed.” Cornerstone maintains certifications from CSIA (Chimney Safety Institute of America) and NFI (National Fireplace Institute). NFI certification is the only certification recognized by the state of Oklahoma and is required to perform the installation and repair of any gas-fired or fueled hearth products.

Comprehensive Camera Inspection Cornerstone, with over 45 years of chimney experience in Oklahoma, are specialists in chimney related challenges such as chimney fires, earthquakes, lightning strikes, age deterioration, tree damage, wind, hail, and water issues. One of the key services Cornerstone Chimneys offers is a comprehensive camera inspection, which allows their team to check for gaps, cracks, and other issues that could compromise the integrity of the chimney. This is especially important in Oklahoma, where seismic activity and windstorms can cause chimneys to shift, leading to joint strain and potential hazards. “We check the inside and outside to ensure the chimney’s integrity,” Kathy said, “because it’s all about protecting your investment and your family’s safety.” Cornerstone also provides full masonry rebuilds, fireplace removal and installation, wood-burning to gas log conversions, wood stove installation, hearth and fireplace facing remodeling, wood chase and siding replacements. Top Installer of HeatShield Cornerstone Chimneys is a top installer of HeatShield, a high-tech mortar that can restore the safety of aging chimneys. In

Trusted Experts in Fireplace Safety addition, they offer a range of services, from chimney sweeps and repairs to gas fireplace installation and service. No matter the need, the Randalls and their team approach every job with the latest tools, technology, and training. “We send our guys to learn from the best of the best at the Chimney Safety Institute of America, They’re experts in their field, offering peace of mind to our customers,” Kathy added. Commitment to Community But it’s not just about technical expertise—Cornerstone Chimneys is deeply committed to building a strong, supportive community for both their customers and employees. When the Randall family purchased the business, they made it a priority to hire veterans, helping them transition to civilian life by providing meaningful work and a sense of purpose. “We believe in investing, certification, and ongoing training of our team,” Kathy explained. “We offer top-notch training and foster a supportive environment where everyone, whether they’re veterans or civilians, has the tools to improve and better themselves.” This commitment extends beyond just the workplace. “Our purpose internally is to build a community that takes care of each

other,” Kathy said, “and that’s the same approach we take with our clients.” The Randalls are dedicated to creating a team that not only excels professionally, but also feels valued and supported in every aspect of their lives. Veteran-Owned Business As a veteran-owned business, Cornerstone Chimneys also offers discounts to veterans and first responders, a nod to their own backgrounds in public service. “Once you’re our customer, we want to take care of you,” Kathy emphasized. Whether it’s springtime maintenance for leaky chimneys or fall inspections to ensure a fireplace is ready for the burning season, the Randalls are committed to keeping Tulsa’s homes safe, warm, and inviting. Where fireplace safety is often overlooked, Cornerstone Chimneys stands out as a trusted expert. So, whether you hear water dripping in your chimney, smell something unusual, or just want to make sure your fireplace is ready for the season, you can count on Cornerstone Chimneys to provide the care and attention your home deserves.

JUSTIN ECHOLS: ROMANCING THE HOLIDAYS December 16, 2024

There are two stories we all love: One where the hero is more than he appears and one where the hero rises from the ashes in such glorious triumph, that he shames the tragedy that brought him there. The story of Justin Echols is both! After a traffic collision during the Second Gulf War left Justin with permanent injuries, the United States Army and Oklahoma City Police Veteran began playing jazz piano. Five international tours, a debut at Jazz at Lincoln Center: Dizzy’s Club in New York City, and his honorable mention in Forbes.com, made the 2012 Jazz Hall of Fame inductee infamous. In 2018, Justin’s mind-blowing story was nominated for an Emmy which documented a quick rise from soldier and police officer to an international performing artist. In January of 2020 Justin was granted the South Oklahoma City Chamber’s Native Son Award distinguishing him and his legendary accomplishments. In December 2021 Justin was presented The Oklahoma Hall of Fame, Lee Allen Smith Legacy Award. Justin’s life narrative, unique piano stylings and smooth vocals combine to create an intriguing performance.

“THE ADDAMS FAMILY” February 20, 2025

A comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, THE ADDAMS FAMILY is the magnificently macabre hit musical featuring everyone’s favorite creepy, kooky characters. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. A man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, she confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before - keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents. On the heels of “Wednesday”, the third most-watched show on Netflix of all time, Big League Productions, Inc. presents THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a devilishly delightful musical comedy based on the bizarre and beloved characters by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams.

“THE CHER SHOW” April 28, 2025

THE TONY AWARD®-WINNING MUSICAL! HER LIFE. HER STORY. HER LEGEND. Superstars come and go. Cher is forever. For six straight decades, only one unstoppable force has flat-out dominated popular culture — breaking down barriers, pushing boundaries, and letting nothing and no one stand in her way. THE CHER SHOW is the Tony Award-winning musical of her story, and it’s packed with so much Cher that it takes three women to play her: the kid starting out, the glam pop star, and the icon. THE CHER SHOW is 35 smash hits, six decades of stardom, two rock-star husbands, a Grammy®, an Oscar®, an Emmy® and enough Tony Award-winning Bob Mackie gowns to cause a sequin shortage in New York City, all in one unabashedly fabulous new musical that will have you dancing in the aisles!

EVERYTHING INSURANCE BY AARIKA COPELAND

urning 65 is an exciting milestone, but it also comes with some important decisions, especially for your healthcare. As you approach this new chapter, it’s crucial to understand the ins and outs of Medicare enrollment. At Everything Insurance Group in Tulsa, they’re there to guide you through every step, making sure you’re fully prepared and confident in your choices.

Alex and Abrina Tarasenko owners of Everything Insurance Group. Value News Magazine & Values Inc. photo, Sept. 2024.

Turning 65 - What to Do So, what should you know about Medicare enrollment? First things first—Medicare Part B isn’t automatically given to you. That means you’ll need to apply, and it’s best to start the process at least three months before your 65th birthday. Why the early start? Medicare offers a variety of plans, and it’s important to find the one that fits your specific needs based on your current prescriptions and doctors. “By starting early, you’ll have ample time to sit down, review your options, and make an informed decision without feeling pressured,” owner Abrina Tarasenko said. “One thing we always emphasize is not trying to navigate this process on your own. We have annual training and deep knowledge of Oklahoma’s insurance landscape, meaning we understand the state laws and regulations that might affect your choices,” co-owner Alex Tarasenko said. Working with a local expert ensures that your plan is tailored to the local market— something a non-local agent might not provide. If you’re planning to work past 65 and continue with your employer-sponsored health coverage, it’s still important to plan. If you know your retirement date, starting the Medicare application process three months before retiring will help you avoid unnecessary penalties. Remember, you must have a coverage— whether it’s through your employer or Medicare—within 63 days after your Medicare effective date, which is typically the first of your birthday month. For veterans, it’s important to know that VA or tribal coverage isn’t considered creditable coverage for Medicare. If you decide to enroll in Medicare later, you could face penalties. “There are specific plans designed for veterans that work with the VA, Tricare for Life, or Tribal clinics, which can help reduce your Part B premium and provide the benefits you need,” Alex said. Last, if you’re still employed and your job offers credible

medical and prescription coverage, you might delay your Part B enrollment. “Not all employer coverage qualifies as creditable for Medicare, so it’s important to verify this before deciding,” Alex said. Over 65 - Be in Control of Your Medicare Benefits Once you’re over 65, staying in control of your Medicare benefits becomes even more crucial, especially with major changes on the horizon. As of January 1, 2024, all Medicare plans are undergoing significant modifications. “It’s not just a few companies—every company is making changes, some of which might affect your current coverage or prescriptions,” he said. Even if you’re happy with your current plan, this isn’t the year to let it roll over automatically. Some plans are removing benefits, adding deductibles, or no longer covering certain prescriptions. “This year’s changes are the most significant we’ve seen making it more important than ever to verify that your plan still meets your needs,” he said. Remember, to get a Medicare plan that covers medical expenses, you must have Part B. If you don’t have Part B yet, they can assist with the application process to ensure you’re covered. There are many people who qualify for state subsidies to help pay for their Part B premium but aren’t aware of it. “Oklahoma

has a state program that might reduce your premium costs. A quick call to us can help determine if you’re eligible for this help,” he said. Organized by the duo, Gretchen & Tom Willoughby, this event isn’t just about shopping—it’s about supporting local artisans and small businesses. “Some of our vendors have never taken part in an event this big so we’re happy to help them with exposure,” Gretchen said. With over 10 years of experience in organizing shows, they’ve traveled across Oklahoma, inviting the best and unique vendors to share their creativity with you. Bring the kids along for a meet-and-greet with children’s authors, grab a free shopping bag filled with goodies on Friday, and enjoy a free caricature drawing on Saturday. One of the standout choices is shake shingles and add a pop of color with your siding and trim. These steel shingles mimic the appearance of traditional wood shingles, offering a range of color options and styles. “Steel shake shingles are particularly popular,” owner Leanna Yoder said. “Homeowners can explore a variety of looks, from wood and textured cedar to tile-slate appearances and blended colors.” Stately For a stately home, complementary siding and roofing are key. WILL ROGERS DAYS A THREE-DAY TRIBUTE TO A CHEROKEE LEGEND

BY AARIKA COPELAND

The legacy of Will Rogers, the Cherokee cowboy, philosopher, and movie actor, continues to shine as the city of Claremore, Oklahoma, prepares to host the annual Will Rogers Days. From November 2 through November 5, 2024, a series of events will celebrate the life and contributions of one of America’s most beloved entertainers. This year’s festivities are special as they coincide with the 125th anniversary of the Indian Women’s Pocahontas Club, an organization closely tied to Will Rogers and his heritage. Pocahontas Spirit - 125th Anniversary Gala: A Historic Milestone Kicking off the celebrations, the Indian Women’s Pocahontas Club will host the Pocahontas Spirit - 125th Anniversary Gala on November 1, 2024, at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. This elegant evening event marks not only the beginning of Will Rogers Days but also the club’s 125th anniversary. Founded in 1899 by young Cherokee women from the Oowala neighborhood, the Pocahontas Club has grown into a nationally recognized institution dedicated to preserving Cherokee culture and passing down a legacy of pride and knowledge to future generations. “Ollie Starr, a longtime member, explained the significance of the event: ‘It’s about

celebrating our past while carrying our history forward into the future.” Attendees of this coveted, ticketed event can look forward to an inspiring keynote address by Stacy Leeds, the first Native American female dean and a prominent Indian law trailblazer. Leeds, who teaches at Arizona State University’s law school, will speak on the significant impact Cherokee women have had throughout history, highlighting their trailblazing influence. Adding to the evening’s allure, Will Roberts, the awardwinning actor and “Modern Day Will Rogers,” will perform a special tribute to Will Rogers. Known for his remarkable rope tricks, Roberts’ performance will be a crowd-pleaser. Guests will also enjoy live music and a plated dinner while members of the Pocahontas Club, dressed in traditional Cherokee attire, add to the event’s authenticity and charm. The evening will be a visual and cultural feast, with displays honoring the founding families of the Pocahontas Club and a video presentation from the Claremore Museum of History. Ollie Starr emphasized the importance of honoring the founding families while looking ahead, stating, “We’re embracing our families and bringing them full circle as we move into the future.” These

tributes, alongside commemorative gifts for corporate donors, ensure that the Gala is not just a celebration of the past but a bridge to the future. With a predicted turnout of 400 guests, it promises to be a night of elegance, reflection, and forward-looking optimism. Hat’s Off to Will: A Birthday Celebration The festivities continue on November 2 with the “Hat’s Off to Will” event at 10:00 AM at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum in Claremore. This event is sponsored in part by the Oklahoma Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts and is a time-honored birthday celebration and wreath-laying ceremony honors the memory of Will Rogers, who was once just an honorary member but became a devoted participant in the Pocahontas Club’s activities. Guests will gather in the museum’s rotunda to hear the Pocahontas Club’s affirmation of their identity and purpose, a moving testament to the club’s enduring commitment to their heritage. The ceremony will feature a guest speaker,

followed by a performance by Jana Jae, a renowned fiddler, ensuring a lively and engaging atmosphere. As a nod to Will Rogers’ late wife, who was known for her stylish hats, guests are encouraged to take part in a friendly Hat Contest. Whether wearing your best hat or crafting a unique one, this contest adds a playful and personal touch to the proceedings. A traditional lunch of white beans, cornbread, and pie, for attendees will round out the morning’s events with warm hospitality and community spirit. Reflecting on carrying on the tradition, Ollie Starr said, “We were given the torch of this tradition, and we want to continue to pass down that legacy.” The Will Rogers Days Parade: A Festive Finale At 3:00 PM on November 2, downtown Claremore will come alive with the Will Rogers Days Parade, a vibrant celebration marking what would have been Rogers’ 145th birthday. The Indian Women’s Pocahontas Club will proudly serve as parade marshals, leading a procession that celebrates Rogers’ enduring influence. Will Roberts will once again pay tribute to Rogers with a performance of his iconic trick roping, embodying the spirit and charisma that made Will Rogers a household name. The parade, with its theme “Rogers for President,” will be televised on RSUTV, ensuring that the excitement reaches a wide audience. Registration for the parade is free, and awards will be given, encouraging broad participation from the community. Following the parade, the festivities will continue at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum with a birthday party featuring

free cake and activities. The museum, a treasure trove of Will Rogers memorabilia, offers a fitting backdrop to this celebration of a man whose values and wit continue to inspire generations. A Weekend of Culture and Community Throughout the weekend, the Claremore Museum of History will contribute to the celebration by kicking off Native American Month with their Arts & Crafts Show. This expanded event, set to take place in Gazebo Park, will showcase the talents of more artists and crafters than ever before. The show, running from Friday through Sunday, will culminate with the unveiling of a new Pocahontas Club Exhibit, further enriching the cultural tapestry of the weekend. As the community comes together to celebrate Will Rogers Days, these events offer not just a remembrance of the past but a commitment to the future. They embody the spirit of Rogers himself—optimistic, inclusive, and deeply connected to his Cherokee roots. Whether through the elegance of the Pocahontas Spirit Gala, the reverence of the wreath-laying ceremony, or the joy of the parade, Will Rogers Days 2024 promises to be a celebration to remember. Thank you to the Cherokee Nation for their sponsorship and support. For information on Pocahontas Spirit sponsorship or buying your table or ticket contact Ollie Starr at 918.760.7499

ELITE SERVICE HEATING AND AIR

ONE NAME IN BROKEN ARROW SAYS IT ALL

BY AARIKA COPELAND

hen it comes to your home’s heating and cooling needs, the name Elite Service Heating and Air says it all. From air conditioning and geothermal systems to ductless setups and energy reduction solutions, they’re here to ensure your home remains comfortable year-round. “We’ve built a reputation for providing top-notch service with honesty and integrity,” owner Joel Kinsch said. Why Choose Elite Service? Elite Service prides itself on delivering the most honest and ethical quotes and services to their local clients. They understand that prices have risen across the board in recent years, making it difficult to manage unexpected expenses. That’s why they offer flexible financing options, helping to ease the financial burden for maintaining or upgrading your heating and cooling systems. One challenge they face today is the scarcity of parts. Post-COVID, local warehouses rarely stock materials as they used to, meaning they sometimes spend an entire day sourcing parts for a job. However,

they are committed to doing the job right, even if it takes extra time. “If something isn’t up to our standards, we make it right,” Kinsch said. This dedication to quality is one reason, “we’ve never been thrown off a job”. A Personal Approach to Your Heating & Cooling Needs The marketplace in Tulsa has changed significantly over the past decade, with large consolidators buying up many businesses. That’s why it’s important to call around and get pricing from various companies. But when you choose Elite Service, you’re choosing a local company with deep roots in the community, known for its reliability and expertise. One story that stands out to Kinsch is when we helped an older gentleman whose furnace kept tripping in the dead of winter. “He had already had eight different companies come out to fix the problem, without success. Within ten minutes, we pinpointed the issue and had it resolved the next day. The following week, he called us to say he had had no issues since.” It’s moments like these that define their commitment to getting the job done right. Comprehensive Care for Your Home’s Systems They don’t believe in hard-selling their services. Instead, “we focus on providing

options that fit within your budget and meet your home’s specific needs,” he said. Whether it’s a new installation or an upgrade, they take a comprehensive approach, examining everything from the duct system to the overall efficiency of your setup. Their annual maintenance program reduces your operating costs, extend the life of your systems, and minimize the need for repairs. They visit twice a year—once in the spring to ensure your air conditioning is ready for the heat, and once in the winter to check your furnace, gas pressures, and flows. By catching potential issues before they become problems, they help ensure your system operates as it should throughout the year. Specialized Expertise “We’ve also become known for our work with Tulsa’s animal clinics, designing systems that meet their unique challenges,” he said. It’s a specialized area that requires precision and expertise—qualities they bring to every job they undertake. Elite Service Heating and Air is your partner in home comfort, dedicated to making sure every system they touch operates at its best. When you’re ready for service you can trust, call them!

LOVE AIR CONDITIONING

Celebrating 65 Years

BY AARIKA COPELAND

n Claremore, Oklahoma, there’s one name that’s synonymous with cooling, heating, and family: Love Air Conditioning. This family-owned and operated business, now in its 65th year, has deep roots in the community, with a story that spans multiple generations. It all began in 1959 when Julie Fleetwood’s father, a proud World War II veteran, started the business as a sheet metal shop. Over the years, the company transformed, first into selling AC window units and eventually becoming a trusted provider of residential central air conditioning. Today, Tim and Julie Fleetwood run Love Air Conditioning, representing the third and fourth generations of family leadership. Julie, born and raised in Claremore, shares, “We want our community to thrive. We’re honest, and we care about our community and the people in it.” Her dedication to the area runs deep, as Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she has worked to support multiple non-profit organizations, area hospitals, and RSU, while Tim has been a key player in community development through his involvement with the Claremore Industrial Board, serving for 34 years and even chairing it for 7 of those years. “We’re active members in the community,” Julie emphasizes, a sentiment echoed in everything the business stands for.

Perhaps what stands out most about Love Air Conditioning is their commitment to integrity. Tim’s philosophy is simple, “We go out to try and fix the unit, not sell a system our customers don’t need. We treat every house as if it’s our own.” This hands-on, customer-first approach has earned them a loyal following over the years. They even rely on local resources, like BancFirst, to help homeowners finance their projects affordably. “We like to support local,” Tim notes. It’s just one more way the Fleetwoods show their dedication to their community. The Fleetwoods continue to embrace the values that Julie’s father instilled in the company all those years ago, while also looking ahead to the future of the HVAC industry. As the community of Claremore grows, so does Love Air Conditioning, providing homes and businesses with the comfort they need, backed by decades of expertise and a heart full of love for their hometown.

Growing with the Community With a heart for their hometown, Tim and Julie have maintained a strong focus on providing top-notch HVAC services to Rogers County. What started as the oldest sheet metal shop in Oklahoma has grown into a full-service heating and cooling company. From residential cooling and heating to air filtration, humidification, and even industrial manufacturing services, Love Air Conditioning handles it all. They specialize in both replacements and new constructions, and they’ve mastered the art of ductwork design and installation, thanks in part to their 36-year relationship with American Standard, a leading HVAC brand. “We take a lot of classes,” Tim explains. “Refrigerant operations and equipment have changed over the years, and they’re changing again at the beginning of the year. It’s important that we stay ahead of the curve.” Committed to Service and Integrity Not only do they focus on staying updated with the latest HVAC technologies, but they’ve also made a name for themselves in the ductless unit market. “The last few years we’ve been number one for Samsung mini splits, which are perfect for adding heating or air conditioning to a new room or your garage,” Tim shares.
