“It’s not art it’s stuff,” explained Bay about his pieces. A student of ideas, he said, “I make stuff from whatever I find. IT happens in joy, happiness, and finding pieces of myself in what I make. There’s purity in those who create various inspirations and life experiences. At the show I want you to laugh, some will cry, others will wonder is this art?” Regardless of emotion, you will ponder, “how did he do that?” Bay’s main medium is LIFE. He believes in whatever he can do to help people understand the world can be expressed in art. He gives life to his STUFF using scraps and oddments. Pizza boxes are one of his favorite materials because he can cut them up and make anything out of them…he also sometimes uses tiny plastic toys, old scraps of paper, textiles, anything and sometimes the inconceivable.
