I have heard some real doozies for excuses about why people won’t vote. This country was founded on “We the People”. Many lives have been lost so that we can have the privilege of voting!

Let’s take a look at three excuses when it comes to the current presidential campaign. EXCUSE #1 My one vote won’t matter because my state (whether it be Oklahoma or California) is so heavily Republican or Democratic. If a lot of folks think like this, the polls will show it. How quickly can one person turn into ten, then a hundred, and then a thousand? That would have a drastic impact in the choosing next leader of our nation. EXCUSE #2 I don’t care for the choices. That’s fine, but there won’t be a new crop of presidents in training tomorrow. You get what you get and you don’t throw a fit. Both of the candidates have been in some hot water for one reason or another. They both have their flaws. Instead, look at it from a different perspective. Over the next four years, there will be openings on the Supreme Court. I’ll give you one guess who makes the choice about filling those openings. If you guessed the president, you are correct. Once appointed and approved by Congress, a Supreme Court Justice is there for LIFE. Choose wisely, my friends. EXCUSE #3 The election isn’t going to affect my pocketbook or lifestyle, so I don’t really care who wins or loses.
Listen: decisions about taxes, regulation and the economy directly affect your job, your money and what you get to keep. If you are invested in a 401k or have money in a savings account, what you are able to earn on your money is directly impacted by who is in power. All awards will be announced and given away beginning at 4 p.m. “There will be something for everyone,” says Caldwell. “There will be Jupiter Jumps for the children, live music by the Bill Holden Band, one-of-akind arts and crafts vendors and food trucks, and the Claremore Police Department, Claremore Fire Department and Sheriff’s Department will be on hand to talk to children and hand out information. The lake is beautiful and there are plenty of shade trees, picnic tables and a playground too,” Caldwell adds. “We usually have over 5,000 spectators to our free event.” To pre-register and be

A state of persistent stress that leads to chronically elevated cortisol levels, and when the condition persists, chronically low cortisol levels. The scavenger hunt is a timed event. The first three teams to complete all 40 challenges will be declared winners and receive some really cool swag! Pre-registration for the Xplore for Justice Scavenger Hunt may be completed online at the event website. Once your team is registered, you will receive a confirmation email including the date and time to pick up your Team Packet at The Vintage Pearl located at 8144 South Lewis Avenue in Tulsa. Each team member will receive a very cool Demand Project Cape for participating in the event. Registration for the event is $45 for adults 18 years and older, $35 for kids 17 and under. You may also elect to register as a Super
Hero Entry for $55. Each super hero will receive a race clue to one of the challenges, giving your team an edge in the competition. The Super Hero package will also include lots of additional merchandise. All proceeds from this event go to the VAST Rescue Team. The Demand Project’s VAST (Victim Advocate Support Team) Rescue Team consists of Licensed Private Investigators that assist state and federal law enforcement agencies, probation officers, juvenile bureau, US Attorneys, family members and concerned community members in the rescue of minor and legal aged victims of sex trafficking. The rescue team collects actionable information of alleged sex trafficking networks, local brothels and missing minors at risk of sexual exploitation and shares the information gathered with law enforcement.
