from the Valley they call Happy Thursday night games feature this season as the Union work to fit in the Nan Fung SEWIT Mens Premiership league in what is a busy calendar year for both the domestic and international calendar.

With the Hong Kong Mens team jetting off to Dubai on Sunday, Clubs were left with no option other than to play the Round 4 games mid week, with two fixtures on Thursday and one on Friday.

Still on the hunt for their first win of the season, the team are confident that their new combinations are starting to gel nicely together and are preparing for a lengthy season ahead, frustrations aside from close losses and heads up for the next games.

round 3 summary

Valley Tigers 31 29

A heartbreaking last play of the game try gave Tigers the victory over Valley during the teams first meet of the season.

In what was a competitive game for the full 80 minutes, the Tigers shot off the blocks with Valley letting in a couple of early tries the first 20mins of the game once again proving a headache for Fatialofa’s men.

Despite this, the players dug deep and clawed their way back into the lead with strong performances coming in from Elden Schliemann and Henry Shiell at the back James Cunningham and Carl Marks both menenced on the pitch alongside Barend Potgieter who was proving hard to put down.

The lads know that the pressure is beginning to build and the heat is on for them to bag that first win. A mountain to climb this Thursday as they take on HKFC at home.
