Here we are at our 3rd and final Club Day of the season. A day of celebration with all our 6 teams playing back to back on the mountain that is Kings Park.
The day starts off with our Mavericks playing Typhoons in a mid table clash, and our Griffins playing Kowloon on pitch 2. Our Reds will be playing Gai Wu in a must win game for them in the Championship A division, whilst our Knights will have a top of the table clash against Hong Kong Scottish.
Our Mens Premiership and Womens Premiership teams have significant fixtures against Hong Kong Scottish and Gai Wu as all teams scramble for the last league points left on the table. Finishing in a favourable position sets them on a home straight run to the Grand Championship.

Our Knights season has been disjointed with bye weekends, holidays, and forfeits, but the boys have done well to put that aside and keep grafting and we have had some very pleasing results.
Guy West has been great. Super versatile and puts 100% into every game. And is also happy to support the Mavs when needed. A great club man. Gabe O’Conner is another exciting up and coming player. Plays with good intensity and very skilful. Mak Kan has been a revelation at halfback. He works extremely hard and always keeps the game moving at speed. All the prems players that come and support are always great. They never complain and always put in just as much effort with knights as prems and it’s definitely appreciated.
Aljon has come a long way this year. He works hard at trainings and is always trying to learn. Kenny has also developed well this year. He is a strong ball carrier and is really learning his craft in the front row. He has improved a lot.
Our season so far as been good. The Red's did a good job in the first half of the season and qualified for the Championship A although little bit struggling now.
However overall this season we have a number players who have have developed and moved into the Premiership team for the first time which is a great experience.
Ella and Sabrina have been great for the Reds this season. They have stood out, both young and the first year in senior rugby they show their talents.
Deena also shows great leadership and leading the team well no matter when they up or down
The Mavericks have enjoyed a good season in the Championship. With two rounds to go we are sitting third in the league with five wins and three losses and are well placed to make a charge for the Grand Championship.
Ben Campbell, our captain, at tight head has been the catalyst for set piece dominance and has lead from the front in both attack and defense Josh Burnside, new to Valley this season, has pulled the strings from 10 and accumulated points from the tee. Scott Davidson, experiencing a new lease of life on field, has been incisive from full back and is kicking 50/22's for fun.
Returning to Valley having completed his studies Ryan Kwok has taken his game to a new level, carrying the ball confidently in attack while remaining rock solid in defense. JQ Kwan stepped up from the Griffins and has adapted well to the increased pace and physicality of the Championship.
It has been a roller coaster season due to the shortage of players from Griffins and Ma jai, we do have few games that we are very short of players. However, start from Nov we did have quite a few tertiary student to come and play for us and the whole team stay for Valley which is awesome
Since When i take over Valley, the team still show a lot of ego from the older MJ boys, however, we had to be strict about who actually come to training or not With some boys attitude which is not acceptable, we have to get them to learn to respect people that actually come to training every week and wanted to play and be better and not just turn up whenever they want and ask for game time. This had been a improve since we have been strict.
Every player have big improvement and or summer course player have great performance this season. Raffy - a Prop that can play whole game is a surprise, with his effort and willing to communicate is very important Stanley (Scrum Half) - His attitude that he want to be a good 9 is my motivation. He knows he got a lot to change and improve, due to decision making of getting the right ball at the right time, a lot of feedback from me to him was all taking into account and willing to change
Thomas and Stanly both of them from our summer course this season and they keep improve themselves can play in higher decision in the coming next 2-3 years Douglas is an improved player, He has click and he finally know how to be a aggressive forward Terrance - from a winger cant catch and pass till now he can manage to pass and run and willing to put his body onto our defense and managing to give me that motivation to get him getting better. Bosco also has improved alot this season. more mature then last season and be more responsible to the team
