Bike Montgomery County
Biking through Montgomery County is a great way to enjoy a late-spring afternoon either by yourself or with the whole family. With 96 miles of biking trails crisscrossing through quaint towns, beginners and advanced cyclists will have no trouble finding the perfect trail here.
Pedal through the charming communities of Narberth and Ardmore on the Homes and Gardens of the Main Line tour to see beautiful parks and homes like the Merion Tribute House, with its sprawling stone facade resembling a castle. Or, if you’re up for a challenge, ride through Bridgeport to tackle steep hillsides along the southern banks of the Schuylkill River for an expansive 20-mile view at Bridgeport Memorial Park at the top.
Kayak In Green Lane Park
As the days get longer and the weather gets warmer, you may want to spend some time on the water. If so, head over to Green Lane Park in Green Lane and paddle on one of the three lakes and reservoirs which, combined, cover almost 900 acres of this serene park. You’ll feel worlds away from the bustle of the city in one of Montgomery County’s best outdoor spaces. Glide along the glassy surface of Green Lane Reservoir and soak in the silence, broken only by the occasional birdsong and the splash of your paddles. Pack a lunch to enjoy at one of the many picnic areas along the water. You can bring your own kayak or rent one from the in-park vendor, Green Lane Boats.

Hit The Slopes At Spring Mountain

When the temperature dips below freezing, there’s no need to hide indoors. Instead, head to Spring Mountain near Schwenksville, which offers skiing, snowboarding and ice skating during the winter months. Spring Mountain Adventures focuses on educational programs, which make cool-weather pursuits accessible to kids and adults who are just beginning their winter-sports journey. A season of learning at Spring Mountain Adventures is the gateway to a lifetime of fun on the slopes.
Hike The Pennypack Trail
An autumn walk down the Pennypack Trail, accessible from Lower Moreland Township, is a feast for the senses as the sound and smell of leaves crunching under your feet, the feeling of crisp, cool air in your lungs and the sight of golden fall foliage propel you down the converted railway path. The Pennypack Trail closely follows the Pennypack Creek for most of its six-mile route, crossing the creek several times on a series of quaint footbridges. This trail is lovely in all seasons, but never so glorious as it is during the height of fall foliage season, when locals and visitors alike wander its meandering path to enjoy a slice of natural splendor in Montgomery County.
Tee Off At Topgolf
If the deep greens of midsummer make you long to hit the links, then you’re in luck! Just in time for summer this year, you can get your golf on at Montgomery County’s newest active entertainment complex, TopGolf, in King of Prussia. TopGolf is the top destination for fun, food and friendly competition. Whether you are a golf pro or an absolute beginner, you are guaranteed to have a blast at this cutting-edge facility that offers visitors the ability to practice their swing in style while enjoying tableservice drinks and snacks.
