The 209 Housing Lab was designed as a coworking area, with a purpose for each corner. The initial conditions arrayed from, a yellow ceiling previously white coloured, orange walls, and carpeted flooring. The multiple configurations were formed by the addition of a wooden panelling system, separating the space into three areas: a conference room, a workspace, and a recreation area.

La ImagiNativa QUITO, ECUADOR
La ImagiNativa is an experimental project aimed at disseminating Ecuadorian Design, it promotes experimenting, transmitting, creating and consuming local Design. The concept of space is based on color and experimentation with materials such as steel, rod and wood. The colors of the space transmit a creative brand with a chromatic that is lively and powerful, these colors used in graphic design were transferred to the space and mark monochromatic areas that bring together wall color and furniture color.

LE PRÉS SAINT GERVAIS The project consists of two residential plots connected by a central garden. It consists of a structure composed of double concrete walls, textured and stained on the facades, supplemented by joinery, shutters, slabs on studs and parquet in natural wood.

COMPETITION OPH DE BAGNOLET - SOREQA Lot “Edouard Vaillant” - 5 logements sociaux
On this site, the open space is south-facing and sheltered from noise pollution generated by the presence of the ring road. A path is installed to connect the hall to the staircase of a duplex T3. A fine planted valley for rainwater retention is installed against the southern boundary. The rest of the free space is occupied by a lawn in the ground with three fruit trees and climbing vegetation support cables are positioned along the back of the store.

The municipality of Quito offers programs to encourage the use of urban gardens through minimal technology in reduced spaces. The urban agriculture center is a place where such practices are developed focused in social productivity, cultural, educational and environmental purposes.

The “Yachay City of Knowledge” is built based on urban planning tools that control the growth of the city whilst retaining harmony with the landscape, natural environment, connectivity and mobility. The Innovation Center, placed in a plot of land of 2700m2, is one of the buldings of Yachay’s urban proposal. Hence, the desire was to create a building that works like a container, in which the interior spaces are flexible and fully accessible with easily re-configurable spaces and the exterior established a visual connection with the natural environment and the pedestrian.

The Platform Governmental Management of Strategic Sectors contemplates a urban reconfiguration and public space extending the Carolina park and incorporating mobility systems into the public space designed. In addition to government institutions, the promotion of implementation of various uses such as trade, services and equipment, acting as a key component in reinforcing the centralities of the hyper center.

The “Cornisa Urbana” project results from the global analysis of the municipality of Riba Roja de Túria, located in the Valencian community, in the province of Valencia. The “urban cornice” is part of the rehabilitation and enhancement of the urban space through the analysis of the territory in three major chapters; physical environment, urban environment and infrastructure-extraplan. The urban-landscaping project seeks to generate a connection between the upper part of the urban settlement, the orchard and the Turia park through the implementation of an organic walkway that connects the urban settlement with the natural space on several levels. Thus, the walkway becomes an element of internal and external mediation of the urban settlement, capable of unifying the northern edge of it in different sections. This communication element is complemented by the creation of new equipment on unused lots that serve as stress points for the project.

The key of the project is the spatial and functional integration of the interior and exterior integrating the existing green space to the consolidated space of the cantonal head, stimulating a correlation between the population and the tourists; and also encouraging children to be more creative and active generating a new model of teaching from nature. The architectural composition is made up of scattered elements related to each other from open recreational spaces, lobbies and especially from the main axis of circulation projected from the Central Plaza of Puerto Quito to the auction, the river Caoní, limits in turn of the land. The neighborhood “La Mariscal” was planned as a garden area. Over the years, the urban profile was etablished by breaking with the green areas and public spaces. On the other hand, the Santa Clara neighborhood was an indigenous settlement descendant of the “Quitu-Cara”, founded by Spaniards in 1537. Nowdays is considered an important trade center of the city. The main objective of this plan is to Reorganize the city according to the potential vocations of the site, use scales to organize new interventions and generate new uses.

The project seeks to be a container building that seeks the union of uses on the ground floor by diversifying the types of shops and avoid sectoral specialization. The public space is complemented by three main activities linked to the idea of craftsmanship that make the space flexible and accessible 24 hours a day. This commercial use linked to the manufacture, teaching and sale of handicrafts is complemented by the residential use of the same craftsmen, enhancing mixed use in the area.

The master plan contains equipments, public spaces, green areas, mobility network (public transport network, bicycle lanes), thematic places. By the creation of two big equipments that work like tensors in the axis Tachina-PUCESE, the mediateca and the new Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador in the city of Esmeraldas. It is proposed to not segregate activities or uses by connecting the equipment with public spaces With this base, the proposed architecture is linked to the place through the materiality, use and activities proposed.
