The Garner Family has been raising Charolais Bulls for over 56 years. True and Giles have taken charge over all the ranch, leaving me with the book work. True spends countless hours searching for anything that will make this herd better than it already is. The offering this year could be the best set of bulls that V -A -L Charolais Ranch has ever put together. We are striving to bring the cattle industry exactly what they want for calving ease, easy grow, marbling, and bulls that will give the customers many years of use. We will honor all of the guarantees we have always honored.

2022 brought many changes to the Garner family. In May we added a new granddaughter, Magnolia May Garner, daughter of Cyrus and McKayla. She is the happiest little girl and is so much fun. Cyrus is teaching school in Adrian and McKayla is busy taking care of two cute kids. Gus is almost three and can tell you everything about his dinosaurs. He is so much fun to be around. September 30 we added another little baby girl, Blair K. to True and Katlyn. True spends his time on the ranch and Katlyn is being a great mom and coaching girls basketball on the side. Blair is growing so fast and has the most amazing eyes. Maya married the man of her dreams on October 15. Jon Fisher became part of the Garner clan. Maya is teaching 3rd grade in Nyssa and Jon works at the sugar factory. Giles and Brenda are both working and working on their house. Lea is a freshman in college, works at the movie theater and is as spunky as always. As for me, Kendalee, I started working at the school this fall. I broke my ankle in October and had surgery hence the wheelchair in the wedding photos. I still love the bulls and can’t wait to see everyone at the sale.

The offering of bulls this year is of high quality with strengths in growth and calving ease. We have some A.I. calves from proven sires like Mr. General Ridge G117, JS Diamond 4247, and DC/CRJ TANK E108 and some of our older proven blood lines, including our Mr. SJ Bull.. Our WALKING herd bulls have been doing an excellent job. You will find a spectacular offering from our Ledger bulls, Rushmore, Wrangler 4122, Clyde, Red Rojo and Long Distance.

Each of these herd sires brings strength to this program in different ways. They all have a tremendous amount of growth and carcass merits. The Wrangler and Ledger Bulls are especially easy calving without giving up the growth you are used to with our stock.
