About Us Since its creation in 1981, the Vail Valley Foundation has had the privilege of providing the World a glimpse of the Vail Valley through its collection of world-class athletic, arts and entertainment events and programs.  The Vail Valley Foundation is dedicated to sustaining and enhancing the quality of life within the Vail Valley from an educational, cultural, athletic and community-based perspective. In essence, enriching the mind, body and soul of both the Vail Valley Community, our myriad international guests who visit us and the many global corporations and brands who yield a tangible return on investment through intelligent and strategic support of select Foundation initiatives.  By supporting what both local and state-wide private business and public office cannot, the Foundation cultivates the vital spirit that is the Vail Valley touching all walks of life around the globe.

Audi Birds of Prey World Cup Long considered one of the top race venues in the world, Beaver Creek annually proves that it serves up only the most exciting in ski racing events. Three days of ski racing and evening social events bring the Vail Valley to life as the world’s best ski racers descend upon Beaver Creek to take on the prestigious Birds of Prey.       

Summer Teva Mountain Games In 2002, the Teva Mountain Games™ married adventure sports with the essence of mountain lifestyle to create the largest celebration of mountain culture in the United States. Over the last 10 years, the Mountain Games™ has evolved to showcase the best athletes within climbing, kayaking, cycling, multi-sport, SUP’ing, trail running and fly fishing. We strive to communicate our mountain culture and sustainable values through our competitions, music, art and nightlife utilizing the setting in Vail, Colorado   

Winter Teva Mountain Games In 2012, the Mountain Games took the next logical step and evolved into Winter. The Winter Games showcased the best outdoor athletes in Mixed Climbing, MTB Big Air Comp, MTB Downhill Slalom, Mountain Cyclocross, Snow Shoe & Nordic Racing, Vail Uphill, Telemark Big Air Comp, and the Ski Boot Obstacle Course. We will continue to embrace and celebrate our mountain culture and sustainable values through our human powered competitions, music, art and nightlife.     

American Ski Classic The American Ski Classic is the longest standing, largest skiing competition and festival of its kind in North America. Skiing legends, sports and entertainment celebrities and corporate America joined together on the slopes of Vail in March 2012 to usher in the events’ 30th Anniversary celebration. The event combines the thrill of professional and amateur ski racing with a festive social schedule of live music, charity poker tournaments and epic after hours.      

2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships are scheduled to return to Vail from February 3 through February 15 of 2015.

Athletes from over 70 nations are expected to compete. When the world returns to the Vail Valley in just four short years, Vail will serves the hub of all World Championship Ceremonies and Festival Events, while Beaver Creek will play host to all of the racing.  Market value of marketing impressions conservatively estimated at $630 million  2.5 billion marketing impressions  Expected television audience of nearly 1 billion viewers

Vilar Performing Arts Center

The Vilar Performing Arts Center (VPAC) in Beaver Creek is an intimate 530-seat theater inspired by the Littman’s Kunstler Theater in Munich. VPAC is a facility of unparalleled grandeur, breathtaking architectural design and the highest quality finish work and acoustics available.

Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater

The Ford Amphitheater in Vail is a spectacular outdoor venue that seats 1,260 guests in covered seating and an additional 1,300 on its expansive grassy hillside with a breathtaking view of the Rocky Mountains. This venue plays host to a unique mix of arts & entertainment including The Bravo Music Festival, Vail International Dance Festival, and the Hot Summer Nights Concert Series.

Vail International Dance Festival The Vail International Dance Festival brings the world’s greatest dancers, Choreographers and musicians to the stages of the Vail Valley for a two week celebration of dance. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Damian Woetzel, the Festival has grown to be among the premiere cultural events in the nation. The diverse programming is complemented by community events, master classes and education outreach, engaging new audiences each summer.

Street Beat

Whether the band is Funk, Bluegrass, Reggae, Hip Hop or Rock, guests and locals alike celebrate this annual free concert series: under the lights, under the bright winter stars with the majestic rocky mountains as the backdrop in the Vail Village. This 9 concert series runs every Thursday night, February through April in Vail Village.   

Hot Summer Nights

This annual free summer concert series is hosted at the Ford Amphitheater Tuesday evenings throughout the summer months. With shows ranging from rock to country to bluegrass to funk and beyond, the Hot Summer Nights Concert Series has become synonymous with summer for locals and visitors alike.   
