MARCH 19 â€“ 23, 2014 The American Ski Classic is the longest standing, largest skiing competition and festival of its kind in North America. Skiing legends, sports and entertainment celebrities and corporate America join together on the slopes of Vail in March 2014 to usher in the eventsâ€™ 32nd year. The event combines the thrill of professional and amateur ski racing with an array of entertainment options. In addition to the racing action, the American Ski Classic features a festive social schedule of the highest quality.
LEGENDS OF SKIING Former Olympic and World Champions rekindle old rivalries in the Legends of Skiing event, spanning the decades of the sport from the 1950s to the new millennium. Franz Klammer, Billy Kidd, Steve Mahre, Picabo Street, Daron Rahlves and Tamara McKinney fill the start order each year as over 30 of the greatest names in ski racing history reunite in the Vail Valley. Celebrities, Corporate America and the Vail Valley race alongside some of the biggest names in the history of ski racing at the American Ski Classic.
In addition to the Legends of Skiing and celebrities, the participants in the American Ski Classic annually represent an elite cross-section of corporate America with teams composed of sponsors, Vail Valley luminaries and paid participants from across the United States.
The American Ski Classic stadium offers an intimate atmosphere for viewing, complete with bleachers and a large-screen television for topto-bottom race action where ski racing fans gather to watch the festivities.

The American Ski Classic also features a festive social schedule that includes aprĂ¨s ski functions, large scale concerts, the Legends of Skiing Banquet, a benefit dinner/auction, and exclusive hospitality areas for relaxing and viewing the races or entertaining clients.
The American Ski Classic produces a 60-minute nationally syndicated television show that will reach no less than 86 percent of the U.S. market, and at least 75 percent of the stations syndicating the event shall be affiliated with one of the networks and the remainder with cable providers.
