Over the past 37 years, the Vail Dance Festival has evolved into a vital part of the national dance landscape. While it is recognized globally as one of the top festivals, it also remains a cherished pillar of our community’s vibrant spirit and love for the performing arts. The 2025 NOW: Premieres live stream received 7,516 views, our highest ever, reaching a broader online audience than ever before. This remarkable engagement reflects the growing enthusiasm for our Festival and underscores the vital role of accessible digital experiences in connecting with audiences worldwide.
FESTIVAL WORKS MAKE THEIR NYC DEBUT
Popular performance RESURRECTION premiered in Vail last summer, and this fall it is making its way to New York City Center’s Fall for Dance. This is a great example of how our works live on in other cities around the U.S. post-Festival.

INTERN & AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
We’ve built a robust program for ambitious junior high, high school, college, and post-grad students to join the Festival team and gain valuable experience while supporting a variety of key areas, including administration, marketing, and production. 8 Interns and 9 Ambassadors joined us this year.
SCHOLARS-IN-RESIDENCE
Each year, we offer young dancers on the cusp of their professional careers the opportunity to come to the Festival and take advantage of all its offerings, including learning, training, and performing alongside the biggest names in the dance world. This year, we were thrilled to welcome Elijah Geolina and Daniel Guzmán as our 2025 Vail Dance Festival Scholars-In-Residence!
COMMUNITY ARTS ACCESS
This community-focused program helps break down the barrier for access to the arts by providing free tickets for local nonprofits to distribute as well as an opportunity for those who live and work in Eagle County full time to enter to win free tickets. We distributed 278 free tickets in 2025.
