This document is prepared as an artefact of one of the most enriching courses at the National Institute of Design; Documentation of Indigenous Practices. The course focuses on understanding the practices and tacit knowledge possessed by indigenous communities in & around India.
Our publication lays emphasis on the practices of an indigenous community, the Soliga Tribe, residing in the forests of the Biligiri Rangaswamy Temple (BRT) Wildlife Sanctuary in Karnataka, India. Nestled amidst the picturesque landscapes of the Western Ghats, the Soliga tribe inhabits the hilly terrains and lush green forests.
