One of the only Montreal venues for jewellery study outside of a degree program, the department offers instruction in jewellery construction, forming, and wax techniques, using sterling silver and other materials. Original design and creativity is also emphasized.

This introduction to basic metal construction will allow you to evolve your skills over time. You will learn to saw, file, form, solder, and produce sterling silver pieces during the session. Make a simple ring, chain, earrings, or pendant; returning students may progress to stone setting or projects in lost wax technique. No experience necessary. Materials may be purchased from the instructor (tools provided). Two to three projects can be completed in one semester.

Continue your jewellery training by working on personal projects of your own design. Projects of varying complexity may be carried out, according to skill level and experience. Instruction includes individual guidance at each step. Materials may be purchased from the instructor (tools provided). Materials are not included.
Open Studio in Jewellery All Levels
Sun. 1 - 4 pm (Nov. 14, Nov. 21, Nov. 28)
For students currently registered in our jewellery program the Open Studio offers extra studio time. A jewellery technician will be present. Deadline for registration: one week prior, subject to availability.
$30 per session + materials
