Making Kids Happy: One Balloon at a Time

Since April, the Children’s Ministry team at Manassas Baptist Church has delivered birthday balloons to 70 children throughout Prince William County, and they’re still on the go as each month brings more birthdays to celebrate.

Director MaryBeth Cobble says, “We might be treating these kids to a fun surprise on their birthdays, but they are actually uplifting us like no one could have imagined. It’s a magical moment to stand there on a porch or in a driveway or front yard, holding bright, cheerful balloons as the birthday child is swept away in the magnitude of reality of being special enough that we came to see them.”

“When the world is saying, “Stay safe, stay away,” we are experiencing masked, sanitized greatness that inspires us to, “Stay safe, stay connected! Kids are special.”
