welcome It is my honor to present our top fall-born heifers at the ranch. I always say, "the magic is in the cows." This group of "Made for Magic" females represent the best of V8 genetics available today. In addition to the dominating influence of +Mr. V8 380/6 and his daughters and granddaughters, this calf crop is even more exciting as it is our first offering of V8 branded progeny sired by Mr. V8 146/8, the only three-time International Champion Bull in Brahman history. We can already see the tremendous impact he will have on our herd in terms of uniformity, muscle, and acceptable birth weights. You'll notice we are selling heifers out of the dams of our most notable herd bulls, Mr. V8 933/7, "Yeti" and Mr. V8 604/7, "Man of Steel." As always, the V8 cow families represented in this sale have been mainstays in our herd for years. These cattle represent the future of our herd, but just as important to us, the future of yours. Terms of the sale are cash, check, or bank wire due upon receipt, and before animals leave V8. Unpaid accounts are billed 18% APR beginning thirty (30) days following sale. Upon receipt of payment, V8 Ranch will transfer registration paper to the buyer. If full payment is not received within 14 (fourteen) days, then upon written or electronic notice to buyer, V8 Ranch shall retain ownership of animal with full property rights, including the ability to sell the animal to another buyer.
feeding terms Heifers will be provided free care in our heifer development program until August 1, 2020, after which feed is billed at $5/head/day. If desired, cattle may be sent to the show barn however feeding charges of $15/day begin immediately. V8 employs some of the best stockmen in the business and spares no expenses in the professional way we care for your cattle. These charges are not designed for us to make money, but to cover our costs. Any veterinary expense will be the owner’s obligation. All accounts will be billed monthly. Feed charges must be paid in full when the cattle are picked up.

All females selling in the sale will be accompanied by a veterinary certification of health and soundness prior to the sale. All females are guaranteed to be natural breeders for one natural calf. This however, is not a lifetime insurance policy. This guarantee does not include injury, death, management, or feed or nutrition issues. Breeding guarantee is voided if any of the following occur: injury, death, disease, natural disaster, gross negligence or misconduct, heifers not in suitable body condition score to breed, virgin heifers flushed or IVF’d prior to having a natural calf, or heifers exhibited at livestock shows. Buyers must notify us of any breeding concerns by August 1, 2022. Should a breeding concern arise, buyer is responsible to return the animal to V8. V8 will have 6 months to prove the animal to be a breeder. Should the female be a non-breeder, V8 has the option to select a suitable replacement if available, or issue a sale credit to be used in a future purchase at V8. No cash refunds are given. We make no further guarantees, including but not limited to ability of a female to compete in livestock shows, ability to be halterbroken, disposition, number of years in production, or number of embryos produced. V8 retains the right to one embryo flush on all heifers selling in this sale and retains ownership of all DNA cell lines.

Selling one-half interest. One could almost just run the picture of this heifer and not need to write a footnote! I’m not sure we have ever had a female carry this much dimension and power on such a flawless frame and outline. This is without a doubt one of the most powerful Brahman females to ever be born at V8 Ranch. Sired by +Mr. V8 380/6, “The Machine,” this is a beautiful, yet powerfully designed heifer that offers a flawless structure, tremendous muscle, length, and natural thickness with a “face like Marilyn Monroe and a hindquarter that makes you look twice.” Phenotypically hard to fault, her EPDs are off the charts with 6 measurements ranking in the top 9% of the breed and the top 2% for weaning and yearling weight. She has the tremendous “punch” for growth yet has a very low 1.0 birth weight EPD with an actual birth weight of 61 pounds and actual weaning weight of 740 pounds. Very impressive and harder to obtain is that kind of genetic spread from birth to weaning. Her dam, Miss V8 499/7, traces back to some old South Texas Vic Maspero breeding and the grand dam, Miss V8 539/6 is also the grand dam of the Lot 2 $39,000 heifer that sold in our Fall 2019 sale to the Cuatro Strack family. A full brother to 203/9 is an outstanding young herd sire for Mark Greco and sisters roam the pastures of VP Cutting and GKB Cattle. We have retained two daughters that are full sisters here at V8. A beautiful dark pigmented Yeti 933/7 daughter that is the longest bodied heifer in the group. She also has two full flushmate brothers in the V8 showbarn that have the exact same phenotype. Her dam, Miss V8 102/8, was a former high seller in our 2014 Internet Sale at $45,000 for half interest. Turned out to be a pretty good investment. This heifer is very long bodied, up headed, and very clean underlined with stunning eye appeal. She is also very muscular as indicated by her phenotype and ranking in the top 3% for REA. She boasts impressive EPDs and performance for growth and REA. We have received great reports from across the country on the Yeti calves and many semen buyers of Yeti at Houston in 2019 have placed repeat orders because of the high quality of his calves born this spring. 208/9’s pedigree is loaded with breed greats and National and International Champions. The dam of Yeti, Miss V8 997/6, is also the dam of the Lot 5 heifer sired by Mr. V8 146/8. She is a powerful show prospect herself. I think this striking young female can bring a lot of joy and recognition to your son or daughter over the next show season. This heifer is the gentlest heifer in the sale. There are a lot of fun ways you could mate and flush this female using the most popular bloodlines in the breed. When selecting future donors this is an important fact to remember. This heifer comes from our top group of flush calves this fall. She and her full siblings will be as good a group of calves from a mating that we’ve had. Her dam, +Miss V8 128/7, is one of our absolute top three donors on the ranch. A model of what a donor cow should be like phenotypically, she is one of our most powerful, deep ribbed, wide bodied cows, and being sired by +Mr. V8 380/6, has that unmistakable style and femininity that he transmits to his offspring. She produced Mr. V8 604/7, "Man of Steel," a past International Champion and herd sire for many Brahman breeders throughout the world. Her average on all calves produced is $18,928 with five daughters being retained at V8. Her dam, $Miss V8 910/4, is a Register of Renown, Maternal Merit, and Vanguard dam. This tremendous November show heifer prospect is sired by Mr. V8 146/8, the three time Houston Grand Champion. Sired by Noble, +Mr. V8 458/7, 146/8 has rewritten International Show records being the only Champion to repeat three years in a row and without question has sired the best and most uniform calves last fall and this spring on the ranch. Not only is this heifer powerfully built, but her flushmates that will sell in our private treaty sales are also very impressive. Our hardest decision was which heifer of the group to select for this prestigious sale. Again, performance is off the charts! She ranks in the top 10% for WW, YW, CWT, and REA with a light birth weight of 71 pounds. If you like muscle, thickness, and power you will love this heifer. A natural calf out of one of our top young 380/6 donors. This November heifer has been an eye catcher since birth. She is very feminine, moves extremely well with her head and neck always up and extended, and just gives you that show ring look. Her dam, Miss V8 174/8 is a dark pigmented full sister to Miss V8 844/7, the 2015 International Champion Female owned with Steve and Nancy Martin. The maternal grand dam, +JDH Ms. Water Manso 239, is a daughter of +JDH Sir Liberty Manso 847/5 and was phenotypically, one of the nicest, most balanced cows you could find, with overpowering muscle and depth. This heifer comes from a long line of powerful producing donor cows. Another interesting note is she is linebred three times to +Mr. V8 287/5, “Superstroke,” who raised 5 International Champion Get of Sires. Miss V8 246/9’s sire is Mr. V8 510/7, a former show bull for us that was sold to Colombia as a yearling but remained at V8 Ranch and was used heavily in natural service. We have some great young females by 510/7 and he has produced many champions in Latin America. I personally like this heifer very much and think she can raise a great one as a donor cow. She gives you a lot of sire options to use in your matings. From a performance standpoint this heifer has 6 important EPD markers ranked in the top 11% or better for WW, YW, CWT, REA, Tenderness, and CED. She is a unique individual in that she looks extremely well on paper and also looks extremely well when you look at her phenotypically. Most times, that usually doesn’t happen. BW: 78 pounds. BW

Wow! What an eye catcher! Every time I drove in the embryo pasture during Houston this year, everyone asked “what is this heifer?” She just flat stood out as an outstanding heifer amongst the group of calves. This heifer never stops without giving you a good look. Very level topped, beautiful headed, long bodied and muscular in her design; she will be a front pasture female all her life. Out of Yeti’s dam, Miss V8 997/6, this heifer traces back to a long line of great show females, embryo donors, high sellers, and prolific producers. If you know V8 females, that bottom line of cows along the pedigree (997/6, +58/6, +73/5, and +165/4) are just about as good as it gets. Miss V8 997/6 has produced 40 calves through embryo production with an average selling price of $18,750 with V8 retaining 7 replacement females. Her mother, +Miss V8 58/6 also produced Mr. V8 274/7, “George.” Look at 997/6’s picture. She is one big powerful cow weighing almost a ton in the pasture. She also comes from a long line of females who were large egg producers when they were flushed! Great cows breed great calves. Sired by the very popular 3 time Houston Champion Mr. V8 146/8 just adds to the female power with the +805/6 and 100/7 cows. This heifer has world famous, very well-known cows scattered throughout her family tree. 146/8 has the best calves on the ranch and is a very consistent breeder with a lot of muscle, uniformity and, more importantly from a production standpoint, his offspring have been born with a very manageable birth weight! They also are very gentle. Lots of nice combinations to have with marketing cattle. Again, another heifer with great EPD numbers: five traits in the top 10% for the entire breed. BW: 83 pounds.
