- Caron Butler NBA All-Star I think LIVE UNITED is about partnership. It’s a partnership to build the community. Every little bit helps and whatever you can do, no one person can do it alone. It’s going to be a collective effort. Whatever we can do, join hands and move forward and let’s make things happen. I always have given back, ever since I was drafted in 2002. I was fortunate enough to come back and, from a financial standpoint, help and be a pillar of the community. I try to give back as much as possible. This is where it all started. This is where all my loved ones are. This is the place that I feel needs me and my message and my work and I feel like I’m obligated to be here.
