Today, the average UK student will have spent more than £45,000 on tuition fees and living costs by the time they graduate. This is more than double that of 10 years ago. The days of free tuition and maintenance grants seem like a lifetime ago. We all know how important access to education is and thanks to you, over 40 new scholarships have been created in the past three years, helping those who need it most. The importance of this support cannot be overstated. The lack of parttime employment opportunities for students and rise in overall living costs can make financial hardship a real problem. The support of a scholarship can allow students to focus on their studies, making sure they achieve their academic potential. Continued on Page 3
