The WOMEN UNITED® Transportation Fund provides women and caregivers throughout the Coastal Empire with dependable transportation so they can get to work, school, medical appointments, training opportunities, and other critical resources. For one local woman experiencing homelessness, getting to work and medical appointments became increasingly difficult as unreliable bus service threatened her ability to stay employed and access essential care. United Way stepped in with transportation assistance, providing a dependable way to reach medical appointments outside public transit routes and a backup option for commuting to work. With reliable transportation, she can continue prioritizing her health while maintaining her employment and moving toward greater stability.
