LaunchedinJanuary2024,TheUWCEndowment Fundisadedicatedfinancialmanagementfund establishedtoensureasustainablefuturefor UWCscholarships.
Everyyear,UWCraisesfundstoprovide scholarshipsforstudents,andmanyUWC CollegeshavechosentojointheUWC EndowmentFundtomakeapoolofforever scholarships.
FundManagement
TheUWCEndowmentFundismanagedona not-for-profitbasisbytheUWCEndowment ManagementInvestmentTeam,regulatedby theUK’sFinancialConductAuthorityand overseenbyanindependentBoard.Thefunds willbeinvestedinfinancialmarketswitha target7%growthand3-5%distribution.
Toensurewecankeepsupportingstudents,the UWCEndowmentFundwillbecomeaperpetual sourceoffundingandisopentoallUWC Colleges,theUWCInternationalOfficeand NationalCommittees.Itwillenableustobuild onourmissionandmaintainmulti-generational equitybyfundingourscholarshipprogramme intothefuture
TheUWCEndowmentbelongstocurrentand futurestudentsandwillprovideneeds-assessed scholarshipstodeservingstudentsinperpetuity.
Inthefirstyear,theUWCEndowmentFund hasgrowntoalmost$53millionUSD Our goalistoincreasethisto$300millionUSD andtoeventuallyreach$2billionUSD.

Amajorgiftfromlong-termUWCsupporters andphilanthropists,Rose-MarieandEijkvan OtterloolaunchedtheUWCEndowmentFund. ThevanOtterloo’s$13milliongiftwasprovided toenableUWCschoolsandcollegesandUWC Internationaltolaunchorgrowtheirown endowmentsfund
IfwesomehowcouldfindawaysothatUWC couldbecomeseveralhundredschoolswith thesamemission,withthesameideaof bringingstudentstogetherfromallthese culturesandbackgrounds,educationwould enableabetterworld.

TheUWCAtlanticForeverScholarshipChallenge 2025isatransformativefundraisinginitiativeto createfourscholarshipsatUWCAtlantic-forever.
Raising$5millionby30thNovemberwillunlock $2.25millioninmatchfundingandallowusto investintheUWCEndowmentFund.
ThankstotheextraordinarygenerosityofthevanOtterloo familyandananonymousdonor,everygiftreceivedby 30thNovemberwillgoevenfurther.

Thefirst$800,000raisedwillbematched100%, doublingeverydollar-meaningevery$100,000 donatedbecomes$200,000.
Additionaldonationsontopofthat,willstillreceive aremarkable50%match,furtheramplifyingtheir impact.
