NOTE FROM THE PRODUCING ARTISTIC DIRECTORS
Welcome to Points of Intersection, a dance concert woven from the threads of human connection. We curated a night that celebrates the myriad ways our lives intertwine through a series of captivating performances. Our dancers invite you to reflect on the beauty and conflicts at the crossroads of our experiences, bursting our individual spheres and tracing our collective pathways.
Throughout the creative process, our choreographers and movers have embraced vulnerability, empathy and power, allowing them to embody the emotional depth of our shared humanity. Beyond the stage, our creative team of costume, lighting, media and sound designers harmonize their artistry to elevate this experience into a transcendent journey of the senses. As producers, we are excited to unveil a collection of pieces that traverse the landscapes where souls collide, revealing the intricate dance of life's interwoven narratives.
We extend our hand and invite you to immerse yourself in this evocative exploration, to witness and embrace the stories that dwell within the points of intersection where our bodies converge. Points of Intersection beckons you to lose yourself in the poetry of movement, to dive into a shared experience and to discover the profound resonance that binds us all.
Thank you for joining us on this journey!

From the Choreographer
What you'll see is a living process. Few things are set to keep the choice-making process alive for the performers. Every performance is purposefully different in order to combat the notion of set composition in dance as the only way to compose; an abolitionist/decolonizing approach to dance-making. Enjoy what will develop before your eyes, for it will never happen the same way again.
Choreography: Original idea and choreography by Claudia Lavista. Piece created in collaboration with the dancers.

From the Choreographer
Falling between walls, imposing the disease. The carrion system that regurgitates its ego gifts. The speed that does not allow us to see anything. I have wanted to be rust that softens the rigid. I have blasphemed against frivolity and I have been part of it; what I have not managed to do is lie to myself. In the vertigo of the battle, not the fight to survive appears, but the patience to tear off, one by one, every vestige of what distances us from each other. Let's become gravel, rubble, formless matter that becomes a horizon to discover the moldable force that is sculpted while it happens.
